NINE YEARS LATER

the six of the friends were older now and as time went by, their friendship hardened. yoongi, namjoon, jeongguk, seokjin, jimin, and taehyung stayed together within the span of nine years. that's right, it's been almost ten years since they've met.

"can i borrow some money?" namjoon asked seokjin. namjoon felt hungry and there was a nearby food court with all types of food.

"no!" seokjin declined quickly but yoongi was close and made a hum noise to get their attention. yoongi took his wallet out while he had a lollipop in his mouth. he handed namjoon a ten dollar bill, "get me a corn dog."

"thanks yoongs," namjoon showed his dimples and ran to the end of the line. seokjin pouted, "you keep making me seem like some meany."

yoongi giggled, "you are."

"am not! i give my shares," seokjin looked at nothing and whispered, "sometimes."

"guys!" jimin yelled from afar. he was running with taehyung to the two that were seated. yoongi and seokjin were waiting for the two while they went in a really large roller coaster.

"how was it?" yoongi asked.

"it was amazing! i saw the top of your heads from up there! you were like little dots on the ground!" jimin said while laughing. yoongi only smiled with the male. taehyung in other words, was pale. he was terrified of heights but he promised to go with jimin. now his soul left his body.

"i got your corn dog, yoongs!" namjoon hopped to the younger. jimin saw and his smiled turned upside down.

"that's not fair! how come i don't get a corn dog?" jimin crossed his arms with his lips in a pout.

yoongi groaned and took another ten dollar bill out from his wallet. he only had a couple change left before it runs out of money. "take this and buy yourself a treat."

jimin's eyes glittered and off he went to get his own corn dog.

"so where are we going next?" namjoon asked while he bit off of his small cheeseburger.

yoongi thought for a while but he then stopped, "i need to use the toilet," he said while he got up. everyone nodded and just stood there, waiting for the boy to come back before heading out.

while yoongi was walking to the restroom, he saw a familiar figure. it was too recognizable that yoongi thought his eyes were playing games with him. the same boy from back in high school was on a bench, waiting for a person.

yoongi thought for a moment if he should approach the boy. he felt embarrassed just looking at the boy, how was he going to talk to him?

yoongi stood still for a couple of minutes before his feet made him walk toward the sitting male. yoongi's feet had a mind of its own, he didn't know how to stop himself.

"h-hey," yoongi spoke first.

the boy looked up from his knees. the first thing yoongi saw was the boys glossy eyes. yoongi's nervousness disappeared and replaced with concern.

"what's wrong?"

"my friend played a joke on me," the male wiped away his tears that were tempted to fall.

"what do you mean?"

"they texted me that they were gonna be here but they aren't!" the male whined like a little child.

"don't worry. i'm here aren't i?" yoongi talked like he knew the boy. he displayed his gummy smile with the intention to cheer the boy up.

"w-what's your name?" the boy asked.

"silly me, my name is yoongi," yoongi said. his sweat was starting to show.

"m-my name is hoseok," hoseok said, wiping away his remaining tears.

"hoseok, i feel like i've seen you before," yoongi questioned himself. "did you go to san marino high school?"

"yeah, actually, i did," hoseok smiled, "weren't you the one that kept hanging out with that one tall guy?"

"namjoon? yeah, he's still my friend along with four others," yoongi looked toward the group of guys and giggled at them. he was incredibly lucky to have them.

"that's sweet," hoseok's heart shaped smile appeared. yoongi's heart pounded hard when he saw that. it was all coming to him.

yoongi knows hoseok.

hoseok was hobi. yoongi finally found him. yoongi couldn't believe it at first but the longer he saw the boy, the more he realized that he was hobi.

"h-hoseok this might sound weird but..." yoongi hesitated at first. "are you in a relationship with someone?"

hoseok's smile turned upside down. seeing that action, yoongi immediately regretted asking that. hoseok's happy state was no longer there. instead replaced with a sad one.

"we broke up," hoseok rubbed his arms, "that's why i got the text to come here. someone wanted to cheer me up but they never came," hoseok frowned.

yoongi didn't know what to say, "um..."

"sorry, i shouldn't be saying things like that," hoseok sadly smiled back at yoongi to at least lighten the mood.

"no no it's okay. it's just that no one really tells me about their personal problems. people don't really trust me anymore," yoongi soon realized how sad he sounded and stopped. but hoseok didn't excuse it.

"why?"

"it's just that i usually make fun of them. like not take them seriously," yoongi replied. hoseok didn't say anything for a while and that worried yoongi. had he gone too far? did he lose hoseok's trust as well?

"why do you do that? they're your friends right? friends are meant to support each other," hoseok said.

"it's just my personality. i care about them a lot, just because i don't take everything serious doesn't mean i'm a horrible friend."

"it's just my thoughts...okay, yoongi," hoseok got up from his seat and looked down on yoongi. "i want to go home now. i'll see you around," hoseok was about to go when yoongi took a hold of his clothing.

"i won't be able to contact you if you leave," yoongi reasoned. hoseok smiled sweetly, "take your phone out," hoseok demanded.

yoongi did as told and handed it to hoseok. the male dialed in his phone number. "goodbye, yoongi."

"bye hoseok," yoongi got up and quickly ran to the restroom. he went quickly due to the fact that the rest were still waiting for him.

yoongi ran out of the restroom and headed toward the others.

"what took you so long?" namjoon groaned loudly.

"i was talking to someone," yoongi coldly but playfully said back. they got up from their seats and started heading out of the amusement park.

"so...that someone-" taehyung started but was cut off.

"that someone shouldn't concern you tae. i spoke to a human and that is it. nothing else," yoongi said with a straight face. taehyung pouted, "but you never talk to people."

"they were disturbing me."

"in the bathroom?"

"yeah."

"yoongi, if something is wrong then you can tell me. anyone of us," taehyung calmed down his attitude once he saw that yoongi wasn't playing around any more. yoongi had to giggle of taehyung's misinterpretation of his words.

"okay, tae. look, a smile! nothing happened!" yoongi started smiling to stop taehyung's suspensions. his smile was way too forced. taehyung could see through that.

"alright, but you can tell me anything."

"yeah yeah yeah," yoongi lessened his smile and looking at his phone. it was already a long day.

hobi was right there. his tiny, beautiful hobi was right in front of him. for years and years, yoongi thought he would never see him. yoongi hesitated calling him hobi because he stopped believing in him after all of namjoons talking. even when breaking their promise, yoongi still had it in mind. he never forgot.
