it was a year later and the four were in their first year of high school.

the very first day was scary especially when ones trying to find a seat during lunch. when lunch started, yoongi, from experience, decided to sit at a table with no one on it. he didn't go get a hot lunch because then someone would get the seat.

"can we sit here?" a girl about two years older asked yoongi with her lunch in her hand. she was with her two other friends who clearly didn't care if the boy said yes or no.

"no, my other friends are coming," yoongi replied.

"but we had this table last year and we have nowhere else to sit at. please, it's not fair. you're just a freshmen," the girl begged. one of her friends got tired and sat down on one of the chairs.

yoongi groaned, he looked around the table and saw that maybe it would be enough space for the girls. "alright but once my friends get here, make space for them."

"okay, thanks a lot," the girls sighed and sat down on their own seats.

yoongi just waited for the other three to get there. yoongi was humming and tapping on the blue table for a couple of minutes before he heard a low grumble come from his stomach.

he was hungry.

yoongi promised the others to get a spot for them. he didn't want to get up to get food and return to a full table of kids. yoongi looked down in shame.

"hey," the same girl spoke up. yoongi looked to his side to see who spoke.

"want an apple?" she handed yoongi a small shiny apple. she seemed sweet. yoongi kindly accepted the apple with a warm gesture.

"thanks," yoongi smiled. he quickly ate the fruit with gratitude. after five minutes, namjoon came running to the table yoongi was in.

"yoongi, we have trouble in the hall, sorry to keep you waiting but we really need your help," namjoon rushed his words, he seemed like he was worried.

yoongi was confused but he agreed to go with his best friend. "hey, um, sorry for being rude to you three. my friend needs help somewhere so could you please save this spot for us? i'm really sorry," yoongi asked the girls. the girl that gave yoongi the apple smiled and nodded.

yoongi and namjoon quickly ran to where namjoon said there was trouble. it was in the boys bathroom.

"yoongi, i need help," jeongguk was outside of one of the stalls, pointing to someone that was inside. yoongi looked at the side of the stall and saw someone sitting beside the toilet. someone was throwing up.

"what happened?" yoongi asked.

"i needed to use the restroom but once i got in here, he was in here, puking. he was asking for help but since i couldn't understand what he was saying, while he was puking, i called namjoon to help me. i don't know what to do," jeongguk got out of the way to let yoongi in.

the boy that right beside the toilet was weak. yoongi was waiting in the lunch area for about ten minutes. that means that the kid was throwing up for ten minutes maybe even more.

"did you call for a teacher?"

"i wanted to but he said he didn't want to."

"why not? you're actually sick and need to go home," yoongi talked to the boy. since the boy wasn't throwing up anymore, the boy could talk clear now.

"they don't listen. they won't care about me anyway," the boy responded. yoongi's eyes narrowed.

"what's your name?"

"j-jimin."

"jimin, you're talking to the wrong people. people do care about you," yoongi made sure not to scare the boy too much. he knew that his advice of things don't turn out to be so polite.

"i don't care...i do have someone that i want to be with right now," the boy said. yoongi's interest peaked a bit. "who is that?"

"his name is taehyung," the boy waited for a response but he continued anyway, "he's been there every time i feel sick."

"he doesn't leave my side every time i do something wrong."

"then where is he?" yoongi asked with his arms crossed.

"there are six bathrooms in this school and four sections. three sets of stairs and our first day here. i don't blame him if he can't find me," jimin defended his friend.

"we could go him him?" namjoon requested.

"no, i will not waste my time here. i'm going to have to inform the office about your sickness. you can call taehyung there if you want but i will not follow any of your silly request simply because you're weak. we don't know you so the best we can do is call for help," yoongi interrupted. before hearing anyone's complains, yoongi walked out of the bathroom and went to the office to report an injury.

yoongi did care.

yoongi cared so much for everyone in the school. he didn't do that just so he could snitch on someone. he did it to help them recover.

the next day, jeongguk spotted the same boy from the restroom and went to greet him.

"are you okay?" jeongguk kindly asked. jimin smiled sweetly at the boy. "yeah, thank you."

"thank you? why?"

"because before, i didn't know the reason as why i kept throwing up. constantly throwing up and i didn't know why. until i was sent to the hospital yesterday and they told me that it was food poisoning. the doctors told me that i could've died if i kept without treating it," jimin said. "without your friend, i probably wouldn't have the guts to ask for help."

"that's okay. i'm glad you're okay now. i'll tell him about you and your recovery," jeongguk thought for a moment and came up with an idea, "how about you and taehyung come and eat with us?"

"really?" jimin asked, shimmer in his eyes.

"yeah, yoongi, namjoon, seokjin, and i will be more than happy to have you two with us!"

"i'll text taehyung where to go for lunch then. thank you very much!" jimin hugged jeongguk with affection.

later that day, the six sat together. the table was a bit crowded since the girls were still there but it was fun nonetheless.

"thanks for having me guys," taehyung's boxy smile was on display for everyone to see. "thanks for helping jimin when i wasn't there."

"i should've done something to help him but..." taehyung paused, "i guess i don't know what's good for him."

"it's alright, tae," yoongi said. "some people don't know what to do in situations like these. it's normal but do this for me," yoongi paused, "don't think you're alone. you have us now. jimin can depend on us as well, right jimin?"

"yeah," jimin giggled.

"see? you don't have to act like his guardian anymore. just be his supportive friend," yoongi smiled.

"we have a couple minutes of lunch left," seokjin made his little comment.

"yeah yeah yeah," namjoon replied back with annoyance.

"hey! don't speak to me like that!" seokjin hit the back of namjoon's head lightly but enough to get his message through. namjoon only laughed at him.

the rest of the day went by pretty smoothly. nothing went wrong. except for the fact like he saw hobi on the seat behind him during lunch break.

yoongi felt a little tension but he ignored him when he was talking to taehyung. yoongi didn't know why he felt nervous. yoongi grew up with hobi in his life, always going to him for help or advise.

that's where all his words came from. yoongi got his attitude from hobi. all his characteristics came from hobi and hobi only. it wasn't healthy back then but now...this is was yoongi's life. his life wasn't meant to be 'reality'.

yoongi's mind was made up of all imaginary things. and hobi was one of them.
