Just two more chapters I can't believe it! I honestly cried while writing this chapter but needed to do it.

Over 3k reads!!! So thankful considering the only reason I posted it last year was to make it easier for my friend to read it:)

"She's so cute, I cant wait to have my own'' Nikki smiled as Lucy was playing with her doll. We had just finished our food.

''You can have me!'' Nikki and I burst out laughing.

'' You're going to leave your mom and dad to live with me and John?'' Lucy nodded.

'' Don't you want to live with me?'' I pretended to be hurt.

'' No Aunty Mi, she has to live with me!'' Nikki put on a childish voice.

'' I can live with everyone'' Lucy smiled. '' with mommy and uncle Seth, Aunty Mi and daddy, Aunty Co and Uncle Jo''

We smiled down at her.

'' Lets go for some ice-cream!'' I announced and her face lightened up.

We were walking down the street, I held Lucy's hand as we ate our ice-cream.

'' I wish we didn't have to go home'' I sighed.

'' Don't you wanna see my daddy?'' I didn't know she heard me.

'' She's just having a nice time walking with you sweetie'' Nikki smiled down at her.

'' We can walk again tomorrow Aunty Mi'' Lucy smiled up at me. I lifted her up as we had finished our ice-cream.

'' Tomorrow we will be flying with Uncle Jo and Aunty Co to California.''

'' Are we going to visit Viper?''

I laughed, '' No sweetie, we wont have time. You'll see him on Thursday at the party''

I smiled and I saw Nikki grinning.

'' Party?'' she yawned as she asked and I could tell she was getting sleepy.

We went to sit on a bench. '' An engagement party, you see our rings sweetie? That means we are engaged''

'' I cant wait for the party!'' she smiled and her eyelids closed as she fell asleep and Nikki mouthed '' Awww''

'' I should get her home'' I stood up and we began walking to my apartment.

'' Good luck babe''

I smiled and hugged her.

I went into the building.

I walked into the apartment and laid Lucy down in the guest room. I was busy tucking her in when I saw Roman leaning in the door in the corner of my eye with a towel wrapped around his waist.

'' You don't answer my calls, you send John to drop my daughters things and you don't let me know where you are, its 10pm Mia. Don't you think I would've wanted to go with wherever you went?'' he was speaking softly.

I put her doll next to her and walked past him and shut the door.

'' Mia, what the hell? Speak to me! You tell me its fine and then you leave and go to John and..''

I turned around, '' You should know me well enough to know that I wasn't okay but you chose to believe that I was fine. That I wasn't doubting your feelings for me and ...''

'' Doubting? Mia, I love you if I was doubting I wouldn't have made you my fiancé ''

'' Yeah and my fiancé shouted at me in the middle of NY city because his ex-fiance was seeing someone'' I walked into the kitchen and he followed me.

'' I didn't realize I did that, I am sorry you know I would never do that, its just..''

'' Just that when you found out your ex-fiance had a boyfriend it was fuck Mia ''

'' Mia, I said that I am sorry. You are my fiancé I think that proves that you are the only one for me.''

'' This ring doesn't prove anything Roman, you were engaged to Jenna while you were fucking me and I was with you while I was engaged to Paul. These days things like these are taken lightly , but me? I would never act with you like that Roman that's the difference between my feelings for you and your feelings for me. You always go on with me about Randy but Randy is my friend and has been my friend since I have been with you because... '' my tears began falling. '' I love you so much and the way you acted, if you are still in love with her then its best if we..''

He walked over to me, '' Mia you are the only one I am in love with''

'' I bet that's the same thing you told Jenna while you claimed to be in love with me''

'' Why are you being this way?''

'' This is how I have always been Roman, you told me you knew that you wanted me the moment you bumped into me. Within in a few months you were in love with me, so for two years you were engaged to Jenna while being in love with me''

'' I had my daughter to think of and you were with Randy. I might've been in love with you but I was just a friend to you. You loved him, I wasn't going to mess up your life''

'' You just don't get it'' he stood in front of me preventing me from leaving the kitchen.

'' Roman I just wanna go to bed''

'' I'm not letting you go to sleep this upset''

'' Save your breathe, it doesn't matter what you say right now''

'' Mia , I was just shocked that's all. Please don't be mad at me''

I looked down , he sighed and moved out of my way.

I walked out, ''Where you going?''

'' I'm going to sleep with Lucy'' I walked towards the room.

'' That's unnecessary Mia'' I ignored him and went into the guest room and closed the door.

'' Aunty Mi, daddy made pancakes'' I felt Lucy patting me.

I stared up at her through my hair which was all over my face.

'' I'll be right there'' I smiled.

I decided I was just going to pretend like I was fine, that I wasn't overthinking , hurt and confused.

I realized I had fallen asleep with my clothes on so I decided to take a shower. I tied my hair up in a bun when I was done and put on a robe, I didn't feel like getting dressed before breakfast.

I walked into the kitchen and sat down next to Lucy. Roman looked worse than me, my eyes were still puffy but his were bloodshot, I doubt he had slept.

I stood up and kissed him on his cheek.

'' I love you'' I smiled up at him even though its the last thing I wanted to do.

'' I'm really sor...'' I kissed him before he could continue.

'' I understand, its cool Tarzan'' I took my pancakes and sat down.

I could feel his eyes burning onto me as I focused on Lucy while eating my pancakes.

'' Aunty why didn't you sleep in bed with daddy last night?'' Roman choked on his pancake.

'' Tarzan, you okay?'' I peeked up at him, he nodded.

'' Your daddy was being mean so I didn't feel like laying next to him''

'' Daddy, why you mean!'' he shifted uncomfortably.

''Well... uhm''

'' Leave your dad, come on lets get ready. Uncle John is picking us up soon''

She ran into the room.

I turned to Roman and got onto his lap. He held onto my thighs, '' I hate fighting with you baby girl and that thing really got way out of hand..''

I nodded in agreement, the sooner I just acted like I had no doubts everything would be back to normal. If I continued arguing he would probably call the engagement off and get back together with Jenna and I cant live without him.

'' So I'm forgiven? '' he narrowed his eyes at me.

I nodded and then tried to get up and he pulled me back down. '' Mia, don't do that ''

''What?'' he sighed and changed the subject, he probably didn't want to argue again as he knew I would eventually figure out he was lying about not having feelings for Jenna.

'' Please do not tell me that you're naked underneath this'' his hand travelled higher up my thigh.

I smiled at him and bit my lip, ''Fuck!'' he pulled me closer against him.

''Its been four days baby girl. I need to be inside you'' he pushed his pelvis up and I could feel his bulge through his boxer.

'' Lucy?'' I smiled and got up as he clearly forgot his daughter was in the other room brushing her teeth.

He stood up and pulled me into his arms and kissed me deeply and groaned reluctantly as he pulled away.

'' Please get some clothes on this beautiful body of yours''

'' Sure thing'' I smiled.

'' We haven't been in California in awhile hey'' John looked in the rearview mirror at me.

'' Nope''

Roman was playing with Lucy next to me and Nikki was in front with John.

We were driving to Nikki and John's apartment where we would be staying for the next three days.

'' So you guys wanna go for lunch or....'' John asked.

'' I'll make lunch, I don't feel like going out...''

John raised an eyebrow at me through the rearview mirror but I pretended like I hadn't seen it and looked out of the window.

'' I'll help you babe'' I heard Nikki respond.

I wonder what life would be like if I was alone, would I be happier?

With Roman's doubts I am pretty sure that sooner or later he will be leaving me. Probably if Seth and Jenna break up cause then he would have realised what he lost.

When I look at it now, Jenna was so perfect compared to me. Roman was her first love, she had his daughter. They were engaged and I just screwed up everything. Roman had me now, the bastard child of a billionaire who had an affair with her brother-in-law, slept with about 5 guys he worked with, made his life complicated with all my shit.

He deserved so much more than me, he shouldn't have come back to me. Even though his parents were fine with us now, they were right. I was wrong for him, he needed someone else and he would realise that soon and I would end up alone like I was when my mom left me so many years ago.

'' We're here!'' John announced and it snapped me out of my thoughts.

I felt tears running down my face.

I got out and walked away from the car as quickly as I could to the apartment. I wiped my tears and hoped that no one had noticed.

Nikki came and opened the door while the guys were busy with the bags. I walked in and immediately went into the bathroom. I was so lucky Nikki hadn't looked in my face because you could clearly see that I was crying as my mascara was running down my face.

I splashed my face with some water.

I heard a knock on the door, '' Mia are you okay?'' it was Nikki.

'' Yeah'' I didn't know my voice would sound so shaky.

''Mia, open the door please'' I heard Roman and he was turning the knob.

I couldn't face him now. I was suppose to be strong I didn't want him to leave me because I wasn't strong enough or good enough.

'' Mia!''

'' Let me go in, just stay here'' I heard Nikki tell him, she had to have a key.

I wiped my face quickly and covered it with my hair, then unlocked the door.

I looked down and walked past Roman and Nikki into the kitchen and began taking out ingredients and stuff for lunch. I knew very well that while Lucy was here they wouldn't be able to question me so as long as I kept Lucy with me at all times I would be clear.

''Sweetie, you want to help Aunty in the kitchen?'' I heard her running into the kitchen and everyone else's eyes on me.

I turned to look at her, ''keep this okay?''

'' Aunty why are your eyes red?''

'' Its allergies sweetie'' I smiled down at her. I put the noodles on the stove and marinated the steak strips.

'' When can I put the spices on aunty?''

'' When I mix the noodles and the steak strips sweetie''

''Guys why don't you go get some wine, since we have nothing better to do'' John told Roman and Nikki, who were still staring at me.

'' Do you seriously think I am going to buy wine while..''

'' Roman lets go ...'' when Nikki's voice sounded like that he knew he had better go or it was going to get ugly. She was probably going to grill him about it.

I heard him slam the door and then John entered the kitchen. '' Need any help?''

'' Can you chop the veggies please?''

'' Sure, no prob!'' I was stirring the noodles in the pot a bit.

'' Thanks John''

I felt his hands wrap around my shoulders, '' No prob, when you're ready I'm here, I don't want you bottling everything up okay?''

I just nodded, I wasn't going to tell him.

He would just give me hope and that would make things so much worse when Roman dumped me.
