I wore a long flowy black dress with a white blazer and heels. Jenna wore a pencil skirt with a tank top and a blazer with heels and Roman wore a jeans with a white sweater and a black suit jacket.

We entered the house and the first one to greet us was Viper. He shouldn't have been running around but I played with him a little.

Lucy loved him.

'' Viper, where'd you dis...'' Randy walked into the room in a black suit, '' oh hey guys! Way to make an entrance''

He hugged me as well as Jenna and took Roman's hand.

'' Merry Christmas!'' that's what I heard most of the night from everyone.

I had lost Roman, Jenna and Lucy in the crowd. I felt someone hold me from behind and as I turned I saw that it was John. I immediately pulled him into a hug.

'' I missed you so much! Where's Nikki?''

'' I missed you more, Merry Xmas! She's.. well I sort of lost her!''

'' I lost Roman as well and Merry Xmas!'' I laughed.

'' You ready to get back to work next week?''

'' Nope, where will we be travelling to?'' I took a champagne glass.

'' Las Vegas'' he smirked at me.

'' Celebrating the new year in Vegas? Sounds like a plan!'' I smiled .

'' I bet its going to be crazy especially since you have gone back to purple'' he winked.

'' Yeah I think I should be able to go back to my crazy ways once in a while'' I giggled.

''Hi Jenna!''

I turned to see Jenna heading our way.

'' Where's Lucy?''

'' With Randy and the dog in the study, he offered to sit by them for awhile. ''

It was weird that Randy wouldn't be out here, ''I'll be right back''

I headed to the study to see what was up with Randy.

When I walked in Lucy was seated on the carpet, petting Viper while Randy sat next to them against the desk just watching them.

I decided to sit opposite him and Lucy was in her own world with Viper.

'' Whats wrong?'' I smiled sweetly up at him.

He shook his head and smiled back.

''Randy, don't let me bring up the ' I've know you for so many years speech' , whats up?''

''Kim and I... we broke up''

'' Oh my word. I'm so sorry Randy, why?''

'' She ended things, you know some things aren't meant to be. I have learnt that many times before, I don't know why I thought this time would be different''

By the way he was speaking I could tell that he was referring to things between him and me.

I moved over and sat next to him, leaning my head on his shoulder. Viper came around and rested his head on my lap and Lucy sat on top of our connected laps.

'' Aunty Mi, Can I play with your phone please?''

'' Sure sweetie'' I handed her my phone and she played some game.

'' You'll get everything sorted out Viper!'' I whispered while running my hands through Lucy's hair.

I felt Randy put his arm around my shoulder.

'' Were you talking to me or our baby?''

I laughed at his silly question.

'' You Randy!'' he laughed along with me .

'' Picture!'' Lucy had taken a selfie of her smiling with us laughing in the background and Viper sleeping.

'' Well I see that you have found my camera!'' I began tickling her and Randy took my phone and recorded us while Viper was still out.

'' Daddy ! Help!'' Lucy screamed through her giggles.

Randy and I looked up and saw Roman standing in the door way, smiling but I knew him well enough to know that it wasn't a genuine one.

I let go of her as she ran into her father's arms. He smiled at her and walked out.

I was in trouble.

I set Viper's head down and got up.

'' Is he upset with you?''

'' Appears like he is, I have to get him''

'' Do you want me to come with and explain?''

I could see that he felt bad.

'' No its fine Randy '' I smiled and bent down and gave him a hug and he gave me my phone.

I closed the study door and I bumped into John.

'' Hey where did you disappear off to? Roman was looking for you all over the place''

'' I was with Randy. John, you need to go in there and speak to him, him and Kim broke up..''

'' Say no more Mi'' he smiled and went in.

I decided it would be best not to find Roman right now and let him cool off and that way no one's Xmas would be ruined.

''Can I have this dance?'' I was standing at the punch table trying to see if I could spot Roman when I heard a familiar voice.

I turned and it was Paul, he was smirking.

I had to smile at how cute it was.

'' I'm not really in the mood to dance ..''

'' Come on, its Xmas Mi...''

I sighed but gave in, if I didn't he would know that something was up.

In His Touch by Celine Dion was playing.

I rested my head on Paul's shoulders as he swayed with me, my eyes were closed as I got lost in the music.

I heard ''Thinking Out Loud'' by Ed Sheeran play, it had become my favourite song ever since Roman and I heard it playing in a cafe in Italy.

'' Mind if I cut in?'' I heard his voice and my eyes shot open as Paul let go of me and I turned to stare into his eyes.

He was smiling as Paul smiled back and walked over to my sister.

He gripped my waist, '' Don't you want to dance with me?''

'' Of course I do'' I placed my hands and intertwined them at the nape of his neck.

He pulled me closer and whispered into my ear, '' Our song baby girl'' he winked as he pulled back.

'' I thought you were mad at me?'' I bit my lip while staring into his eyes.

'' Oh I am baby girl, but now is definitely not the time'' he leaned down and kissed me gently.

I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder.

'' Do you wanna build a snowman!'' Lucy was singing in the back seat as we headed home.

I turned to look at Roman, who was just focused on the road.

I got a text and searched for my phone in my bag.

It was Jenna, '' Whats up with Roman''

'' I pissed him off as usual, sigh I'm sorry for making things awkward''

'' Don't worry just speak things out when we get home. Lucy and I will be lights out anyway''

'' I'll try to, thanks!''

I turned to the back and smiled at her.

When we got into the apartment , Jenna disappeared into the room with Lucy and I went to mine.

Roman was in the bathroom when I got in there.

I took off my jacket and dress and put on a nighty. Roman stepped out in his sweatpants and walked out of the room.

I followed him and sat on the counter while he put on some water for hot chocolate.

'' Roman..'' his back was turned to me.

'' Can we please talk about what happened''

He turned and leaned against the cupboard as he looked at me.

'' What exactly is there to talk about? I'm looking for you all night and then when I eventually find you. You are with him and you had the nerve to have my daughter there as well''

His expression was blank.

'' I don't know what you think happened, but I was only there for like 10minutes before you walked in''

'' Why were you there? I would've been fine if it was out in the open but there''

I was pissed that he thought I would do something especially while Lucy was with us.

I got off the counter, '' You know what Roman, think whatever you want. I've tried to make you trust me but you clearly don't so I don't care at all''

I walked into the room and slammed the door and locked it.

If he wanted to be this way then he could sleep on the couch. I got into bed and about 10 minutes later I heard a knock on the door.

'' Mia, open the door please...''

I didn't answer him, I cant believe he thought so low of me. Yes I hadn't lead a straight and narrow past but I only wanted him and had done so much in trying to prove that to him.

'' Mia, please. I'm sorry okay I overreacted, please just open up''

I wanted to open the door so badly but it was like déjà vu, everything was fine for the past few months and just one moment with Randy and he blows a gasket yet again.

My tears began falling, I guess he had many reasons to doubt me, I had been together with three guys at the same time before and it was so easy for me to lie to them all, they say karma's a bitch.

But I was in love with him and only him, I really wished that he would just let the Randy thing go and I thought he did.

I heard voices in the kitchen, I guess everyone was up. I went to take a shower and put on a gym tights with sneakers and a tank with a hoodie.

I tied my hair up into a bun as I hadn't wet it in the shower and grabbed my phone and earphones.

I walked out of the room and went over to Lucy and Jenna who were on the couch while Roman was making breakfast I assume.

" Hey guys I'm sorry to just leave, but my dad just texted me.. so I'll see you next week ''

I gave them a hug and left knowing that Roman was staring at me. I knew my eyes were still puffy from last night's crying and he had probably noticed.

I left my building and began jogging , I just needed to get out. I decided to jog to the gym which was a few blocks away.

When I got there I spotted John, I figured he would be here as he liked gyming here when he visited me.

I went over to him as he got off the treadmill.

He smiled and raised an eyebrow when he saw me. He pulled me into a hug.

'' Sorry about the sweat'' he smiled. '' How come you are here though, isn't Roman them at your apartment?''

I looked down and walked over to a bench.

'' Whats wrong?'' he sat down next to me.

''.... And then he had the audacity to accuse me of things instead of asking what actually happened. I just walked away and cried myself to sleep and then this morning, I just got dressed and jogged here hoping that you would be here, nothing happened. I was just being there for my friend and after all this time he still doesn't trust me and he thinks a simple apology would fix it? I don't think so, I don't care how much I love him, I have never let any man accuse me and shit like he constantly does. You know me, if they don't trust me they have to go. I should never have patched up things between us before...''

John got off the bench and leaned in front of me.

'' Mia don't make any rash decisions I know that you feel like giving up but think about how miserable you were without him. He loves you and that is why he acts this way. Look I'll speak to him about this, he needs to get his shit together...''

'' No, please don't speak to him John!''

'' Mia, you have to sort this out with him, he knows you love him and he knows you still have a soft spot for Randy. Just speak to him I know it probably feels like you keep repeating yourself to him but if you say that you love him then you wont give up on him. I don't want to see either of you miserable. Its better for you guys to be miserable like this than be miserable because you cant be with each other''

I nodded in agreement.

'' This is why I came here, between you and the other three I cant go wrong. I think you guys should constantly be with me so that I cant screw up''

He rolled his eyes at me, '' Come on, I'll drop you off on my way to the hotel''
