'' Where are you going baby?''

I could see Roman looking up at me from the bed through the mirror while I was finishing off my hair.

I was wearing a skinny with black heels and a denim shirt. I went to sit on the edge of the bed next to him.

'' My dad organised a family brunch since we haven't been spending that much time together.''

I ran my fingers over his tattoo and saw the concern on his face, knowing a family brunch meant Paul would be there. '' I need to talk to Paul , I know you hate the thought of me with him. But I'm going to end things with him today''

His concern turned into a huge grin due to my words, he pulled me down onto him and kissed me.

''Although I am thrilled at the thought, are you sure this is what you want to do? End things with him completely?''

I smiled down at him as he knew how much I loved Paul, considering he had dealt with that emotional rollercoaster for so long. But the way I felt about Roman was stronger than it all.

'' Yes I am Roman.. John and Daniel gave me an intervention and it helped me look at things clearly. Paul used to be my guy, but ever since I met you its like he's just there. Whether we've just been friends or together you know everything about my life, along with my four best friends so that should say something. I love Paul, but I am in love with you.''

He pulled me into another kiss. '' You sure you'll be in time for our triple date in the park at 1?''

I laughed,'' Nikki moved it to 3 just in case the brunch went on a little longer, so I'll be seeing you then?''

I kissed him for the umpteenth time but I didn't mind and he pulled me on top of him.

I tried to pull away, '' Roman I need to go!''

He sighed and let me go.

'' I cant wait for you to be only mine!''

He called after me, I smiled and blew him a kiss as I left.

'' Sweetie, I've missed you so much'' My dad pulled me into an embrace as soon as I reached the table.

He had booked out the entire restaurant. I greeted everyone at the table. My brother Shane and his wife was there along with my dad and step mom Linda, Steph and Paul, who looked like a train had hit him.

I sat between my father and Shane at the round table. We were having small talk and eating waffles.

'' So I heard that Roman and you got into an altercation last night and that's the reason why my beautiful daughter's face is bruised and you look like you ran into a wall 10 times. So what was the reason? Since you were the one who threw the first punch?'' He raised his eyebrow at Paul.

I thought that the blush had covered the bruise, well clearly not well enough. Paul glanced at me briefly and then looked at my dad.

'' Firstly he's the one who punched Mia not me, and I went into the locker looking for Mia to ask how she was getting here today and found him there. When I asked him where she was, he got all smart with me and I didn't like it, I admit it did get a little out of hand'' Paul got back to finishing off his food while I guess it was better than saying he had caught us together, he was clearly still pissed.

'' A little out of hand? Look at her face! I don't care who was responsible for it, my question is that while my daughter was screaming her lungs out for you to stop why the hell didn't you?'' My dad was fuming and I hardly ever saw the side of him that I was sure Paul was used to since he worked more closely with him now.

Paul gave my dad a death glare in return. That was the thing about Paul, he didn't care who you were,  he didn't like being spoken down to and especially basically being scolded in front of all of us.

I was so glad at this moment that we were the only people here.

I placed my hand onto my dad's now balled up fist. '' Dad please calm down, everything is over now , can we just move on past it?''

I could see him relax a bit at my gentle tone, even with all the craziness I put him through he never ceased to care since the day I pitched up at his door claiming a father I had known nothing about.

'' I personally think that Roman should be suspended'' Stephanie blurted out still busy with her food.

'' Well it doesn't really matter what you think darling, because your husband over there threw the first punch so he's the one at fault here, Roman simply defended himself. '' My dad sat back now finished.

I couldn't help but smile at my dad's response.

'' He was provoked!'' she clearly wasn't happy with his answer.

'' He might've taunted Paul but he didn't do anything to harm him. Paul striked first and he had to defend himself like dad said'' Shane stated.

Shane knew about Roman and I, he liked Roman. He had walked into my room one night and had seen Roman and I sleeping. He questioned me about him later that day and I told him everything.

'' Look at the way Paul looks, this is more than 'defending' himself!''

'' Its not like Roman left the fight without any bruises!'' I snapped back, causing Paul to look at me. I was simply sick of them bashing the man I was in love with even if they didn't know.

'' Oh I bet you would know dear sister!''

'' What are you trying to imply Stephanie?'' I glared at her, the night she pitched up at the hotel room finding Roman basically naked while I slept flashing through my mind.

'' You know exactly what I am impl...''

Linda slammed her fist on the table causing everyone to jump.

'' Enough! Can we just have a simple brunch please and not start bickering. I have no idea why you girls are so bitter towards each other but when we get together you better well at least tolerate one another!''

We nodded and finished off our food as it was rare for her to get so upset .

I headed towards Paul who was sipping coffee at the bar while the rest were at the table. Our backs were faced to them and I stood next to him.

I took the ring out of my pocket and placed it onto the bar. I had to do it now, so there wouldn't be a major scene.

He looked at it and put his coffee down and turned to look at me.

'' Why are you giving me this?'' he whispered while holding the ring.

I sat back facing him, '' Paul, I am sick of having to lie to my family and the rest of my friends, it sucks a lot. I'm only 23 for crying out loud. I just need to let go of you, you and my sister are meant to be together... if you love me like you say you do you wont fight this''

I could feel the tears wanting to fall but I had to be strong.

'' So you're leaving me for Roman now?''

I sighed. '' I am with Roman yes, but that's not the reason why. I hate the fact that Stephanie and I are like enemies. I miss my sister and the only way I can do that is to let go of you. I love you so much and if I don't do this I'll probably end up having that love turned to hate because I'll still be the mistress and I don't want to hate you.''

He got up and headed towards the bathroom and I followed. As soon as I turned at the corner, he pushed me up against the wall and kissed me deeply and passionately.

I kissed him back knowing that this would be our last.

He pulled away, '' The last thing I want is for you to leave me...'' his eyes were filling with tears as mine had already started falling.

'' But it would be pretty selfish of me to do this to you, I've been doing it for so long. If you ever need me I will always be here for you okay? Because I do truly love you, but I guess like you said its not our time.''

I wiped his tears and smiled. '' You'll always be my Mr Grey though''

'' Keep the ring Mrs Grey '' he smirked and placed it into my bag.

He gave me one more kiss and then headed to the bathroom to wash his face I assumed.

I headed back to the table.

'' Everything okay sweetie?''

'' Yeah, Paul went to the back to ask one of the waiters if they had some pain tablets, his shoulder was acting up''

'' OH alright then, did he get it checked out last night?'' he asked Stephanie.

'' It was dislocated, so its still recovering'' Roman had really gone berserk on him.

'' Dad I need to go'' I saw Nikki's car parked outside.

He pulled me into a hug. '' Take care of yourself and that bruise sweetie''

'' Will do, dad'' I smiled.

Shane came up to me as soon as I moved away from my dad.

'' I hope to have a double date in the near future sis'' he whispered into my ear.

'' Of course!''

Paul pulled me into a hug and then kissed my forehead.

I said goodbye to the rest and headed out to the car.
