Twilight Sparkle , known as Sci-Twi by her friends , stood in her yard with her dog , Spike. She tossed the ball gently and Spike ran after it. She continued until the ball went farther than expected . The ball rolled into the road and Spike chased it . " SPIKE ! " she screamed . Sci-Twi ran toward the road and the incoming car tried to stop but it was to late . Spike laid in the road and the car driver hopped out apologizing . Tear started to fall down Sci-Twi's cheeks . She nodded toward the driver and picked up the dog . Sci-Twi felt for a heart beat but felt none .
