Authors note: so this turned out a lot longer than I expected but I just wanted so much in this story. Daddy bats, little brother robin moments, a minor chalant moment because I love that ship, also Conner in here because I read a few fanfics of him as a older brother to robin. So sorry about that but I think this turned out pretty cute and Batman being injured was Awesomedurra Idea. But I wanted a lot more since I couldn't stop writing. ))

This story is going to show how much robin worry's about Batman/ Bruce when he gets badly injured and he doesn't know if Batman will be alright. He'll also be comforted by his older " siblings " and parental figures in the league)

It was a Sunday afternoon at the bat cave when Batman was getting ready to go on a mission out of town

Batman was getting his tools and supplies together for the mission, he then heard footsteps coming up behind him " dick your supposed to be upstairs with your brothers"

Dick stops trying to sneak up to him and looks at him " dad I think I should go with you, you'll need backup and I know how to handle any mission "

Batman looks at his eldest son " dick it's too dangerous for you to come with me on this mission, plus you'll need to help Alfred with the chores and you have school tomorrow morning. And your team will also needs you here if a mission comes up here"

Dick sighs and looks down " dad I just want to be able to know you'll make it home in one piece and be back as soon as you can "

Batman smiles softly at his son and pets his head " I always do try to come back as soon as I can robin and with as little injuries as possible. But you don't worry too much dickie, but if I'm not back before dinner you and Alfred can scold me "

Dick chuckles a bit at that and smiles " alright Batman, I'll do that. But still please come back " he hugs his dad tightly

Batman smiles softly at him and hugs him back " I'll be back robin, I promise. " kisses his head before going to his bat mobile and heading to his mission

Dick watches Batman head out to the mission before going back upstairs to hang out with his brothers.

The next day Batman still hadn't returned and Dick was worried something happened to him.

At Mt. Justice

Robin was sitting on the couch looking at his watch computer trying to locate Batman or see how he is doing

Wally was watching him for a bit and came over to him to check on him " hey rob, is everything alright?" Sits next to him

Robin looks at Wally and sighs " Batman went on a mission yesterday and said he would be back before dinner that night. But he's still not back yet"

Wally could understand now why he was worried and puts a hand on his shoulder " you know rob, Batman is one of the toughest hero's out there. He can take anything you throw at him " he smiles trying to cheer him up a bit "

Robin looks at Wally knowing that was very true " I know Wally. I've been on so many missions with him and no matter how hurt he got, he always went on another mission. I honestly think he's immortal sometimes "

Wally chuckles softly at that " see robin, I'm sure he's doing fine. You just have to look at the positives" ruffles his younger brothers hair

Robin chuckles a bit as he does this " come on Wally, stop that"

Wally smiles as stops with his hair " I'm glad your smiling again robin, none of us like seeing you sad"

Wonder Woman's voice came over the speakers " Robin please come to the medical bay "

Robin was confused hearing Wonder Woman's voice " medical bay?"

Wally looks at him and shrugs softly " only one way to find out rob" he smiles softly

Robin nods and goes to the medical bay to see Wonder Woman, his mother/aunt figure on the league " Diana? Why did you need to see me"

Diana looks at him and kneels down to his level " robin, your mentor returned from his mission this morning. But he's severely injured, he needed surgery right away"

Robin felt his heart drop a little as she told him what happened " but he'll be ok right? My dads going to be alright"

Diana hugs him and rubs his back " with time and care robin, he'll get better. But he won't be able to fight for at least a week robin "

Robin hugs her back then let's her go " can I see him?" Looks at her " please"

Diana nods and takes him into Batman's room

Batman was laying there still with his mask on but his costume was lowered to his waist and he had bandages on his wounds

Robin goes over to his and sits beside him " I've always thought of my dad as indestructible, he always seems so strong and doesn't seem to get hurt"

Diana came beside him and puts a arm around him " that's why he came to us robin. He didn't want you or your brothers to see him like that"

Robin looks at his dad seeing he was asleep " I'll never think of him any differently, he's my dad and hero. Nothing will change that" holds his hand a bit

Diana smiles softly at the young boy " well the doctor will be in to check on him in a little bit, he should wake up soon. Would you like your friends to sit with you?"

Robin looks at her and did want his older siblings with him " yes please aunt Diana" he smiles softly

Diana smiles softly " I'll go get them then" she kisses his forehead then goes to get the rest of the team

The team came in including Zatanna

Diana looks at them " I'm going to call the doctor, you kids can stay for a little bit. But tell me if anything happens, let me know " she left the room

Megan looks at robin " what did Wonder Woman say about Batman robin?"

Robin looks at her " she said he'll be alright but he's benched for at least a week " smiles softly " I wonder how he'll take to that. Batman being grounded to bed rest"

Wally smiles seeing his friend looking on the positive " it is pretty funny, I'm glad he's going to be ok robin. I know how much you look up to Batman "

Zatanna sits beside robin to comfort him as he comforted her during her hard time " I'm glad Batman is going to be ok robin. " she hugs him softly and kisses his cheek

Robin smiles at her holding her hand and Batman's hand " I'm glad too zee, I know I worry about him as much as he worries about me. But he is my father figure so of course I worry about him "

Conner looks at them " we can understand how that feels robin. We all worry about each other like family, well that's how m'gann put it"

Robin chuckles softly at Conner trying to explain that their a family " that is true Conner, we are a family. You guys are like  siblings to me, even though I have 2 younger brothers "

Conner looks at robin with a soft smile since he did see robin as a younger brother, similar to his relationship with Superman " You have 2 younger brothers?"

Wally chuckles " well talk about them later"

Batman started waking up and squeezed Robin's hand a bit " Diana?"

Robin looks at him seeing his dad wake up " Batman? It's robin and the team, Diana had to go talk to the doctor"

Batman looks at robin moving very little " sorry I couldn't make it to dinner robin, I might have been out a little bit later than the curfew"

Robin chuckles softly and smiles " well Diana said your on bed rest for at least a week, so consider this your punishment "

Batman sighs a bit at that news " guess I do deserve that robin, well Looks like no bat cave or training for me for a week"

Robin nods and smiles " now you get to experience being grounded Batman, and I'll make sure you stick to it"

Batman smiles " alright robin, I look forward to swapping roles with you "

Robin smiles and hugs him softly being careful of his wounds

Batman was a bit confused but hugs him back " what's this for robin?"

Robin smiles " because I was worried about you dad"

Batman simply smiles as he hugs his little bird

The team decides leave the father and son alone but all were awwing and saying how cute the two were
