Ten
Notch slowly got up off the chair and stumbled into the living room. His sight was blurred a bit and he had a pounding headache. He made it to the couch and plopped down. Someone was on the other side so Notch pushed that person off and onto the ground.
The person groaned but fell back to sleep again. By the blonde hair, he could tell it was Donny.
Notch finally relaxed and started to doze off. His headache was still pretty bad so Notch assumed it was the hangover. Someone mumbled something and he turned his head, making the headache hurt way worse.
Alex was on the recliner clutching her head. She slid off the chair and basically crawled to the bathroom. The door shut behind her and then he heard the shower running. Notch looked away from the door and settled back to where he was. The whole house was quiet with the exception of the shower.
Notch glanced over at the love seat to see Wilson and Gabe snuggling with each other. Notch snickered at the drunken two. Wilson and Gabe both had a black eye and Wilson had a bruise forming on his arm. So, as you can see, the two fought while drunk.
Notch searched the rest of the room with his eyes. He couldn't spot Jill anywhere but then he remembered that she went back to the castle before they all became intoxicated.
Notch settled in once again and started to fall asleep. His headache started to lessen with the pain and he could finally get some rest. Until the door opened.
The person who entered could've been a zombie for all he cared. At least Notch could rest in peace. But no, the person who entered was far more dangerous. Would kill Notch in an instant if he saw that Notch and the guards all got drunk.
"Hello I'm ba-" Gordon stopped in the doorway looking refreshed and annoying. Notch threw a pillow at him so he would close the door. The light was hurting his eyes.
"What the Nether is going on here?" Gordon asked, making everyone groan from the volume of his voice.
"We are trying to sleep so leave." Donny said is a slurred mumble, barely audible. Wilson and Gabe moved away from each other but still stayed on the love seat.
"Excuse me for intruding your 'sleep fest'." Gordon said with such sarcasm that Wilson sat up to glare at him.
"You are excused. Now leave." Donny demanded, still on the floor.
"Wait. Hold up. Are you all...drunk?" Gordon asked glaring at everyone.
"No, we are all hung over. Now let us sleep." Gabe declared but then clutched the side of his head in pain.
Gordon sighed then his eyes locked onto Notch. "You-you are part of this too?"
"Yes." Notch said bluntly.
"But-but...I," Gordon stuttered.
"Shut up and go make some coffee. All of us are tired and Alex is in the shower." Notch waved Gordon towards the kitchen. He then turned his sight to Gabe when he noticed that Gabe perked up when Notch mentioned Alex in the shower. Wilson also noticed.
"You pervert," Wilson muttered. Gabe glanced over at Notch and then shrank away. Gordon stumbled his way to the kitchen Notch stared at the door that was still open.
"Donny, close the door." There was a mumble.
"Notch, don't you have powers that can make this go away?" Notch shook his head.
"I may have powers, but I cannot 'heal' people with my powers. It has to be a potion that was brewed." Wilson looked at him in confusion but then slumped back.
Alex emerged from the bathroom and walked down the hallway towards her room. Gordon came back with cups and a pot of coffee.
"Here." He threw two cups at Wilson and Gabe and one towards Notch. Then he dropped a cup onto Donny's head which caused him to slap Gordon's leg.
Gabe suddenly got up off the couch and stumbled to the bathroom. Wilson then flopped over to the other side of the seat. Gordon just sighed and placed the pot on a nearby table.
"Oh, Gordon. Did you see Jill enter the castle last night?" Notch asked, trying to sit up. His headache started to pound but he ignored it.
Gordon looked back at him confused. "She never came by." Notch just stared blankly at him. "Oh."
"And we also got and update in the case."
"What case?" Gordon stared at Notch in shock.
"The Herobrine Case where he has a girl as an accomplice? That case?" Gordon asked him almost falling out of his chair.
"Yeah, yeah. That one. So what is it?" Notch demanded clutching his head.
Gordon stared at him like he was an alien. Honestly, he kind of is but that's not the point. "Are you okay?" Notch nodded then remembered something.
"Steve is still out there. What the Nether am I doing? I need to go find him." Notch stood up but fell against the wall making Gordon stand up. Notch just pushed him aside.
"I've got to find my brother." Notch almost made it out the door when he was pulled back by Gordon.
"You can later. When Gavin gets out of the shower you can go in and wash off. Then settle down and we can talk about the case while you sober up." Notch couldn't help but smirk.
"His name is Gabe."
"I don't care. Now go lay down and when Gabe gets out you can get in the shower." Notch groaned and mumbled against him but fell against the couch.
"And Donny, get off the floor." Gordon said in annoyance. He got a grumble in return. Gordon sighed and sat down on the recliner. Alex walked in wearing her usual outfit and her hair was tied up in a ponytail.
"How's it going guys?" She asked, referring to Notch and the guards.
"Eh." Replied Wilson. Alex looked over at Gordon then rolled her eyes at Notch. This gained a snicker from him. He heard the creak of a door and Gabe walked out wearing a clean t-shirt and jeans. His dark, curly hair was wet and all over the place. Notch hopped up off the couch but forgot about the headache and slammed back against the couch. But he slowly got back up and walked to the shower.
Alex looked at Gordon then down at Donny. "What's he-" She was cut off when Wilson gave her the look. She nodded in understanding.
Gordon looked between Wilson and Gabe. "What the Nether happened to you two?"
"We fought." They said in unison. Gordon nodded but still seemed to be highly confused. Alex looked up at Gabe and they smiled at each other.
There was a groan heard and everyone looked in Donny's direction. He started to sit up and pushed himself up so that his back was resting against the front of the couch. Everyone looked at him in shock. He had the worst appearance of them all. His eyes were bloodshot, he had random fuzz from the carpet stuck to his face, and he looked like he would vomit at any second.
Out of the silence a click was heard and everyone glared at Wilson. He had his phone out and took a picture of Donny.
Wilson started to laugh like a maniac. "That is so going to be my wallpaper." Donny reached for something to throw at him but gave up and stared over at the wall.
"So what was the news about the Herobrine case?" Donny broke the silence and they all took a step backwards in surprise.
"Wait, what Herobrine case?" Alex eyed Gordon suspiciously. He gulped in fright and laughed nervously.
"They didn't tell you?"
Alex stared at Gordon cluelessly then took in a long, highly annoyed sigh. "If they told me, I wouldn't have asked." She barked. Beads of sweat started running down Gordon's face.
"You all might want to sit down." Everyone sat down and gazed up at Gordon like little kids wanting to hear a story.
Gordon cleared his throat before continuing. "Herobrine has been making attacks on villages recently."
Wilson raised his hand patiently until Gordon gave permission for him to speak. "Doesn't Herobrine attack villages all the time? What's so different about this one?"
"I haven't gotten there yet." He said simply. Wilson shifted his gaze to the ground in embarrassment. Everyone glued their eyes back on Gordon so he could continue.
"As I was saying, Herobrine has been attacking villages recently. What's weird is that he has an...accomplice."
"Well the partner can't be that dangerous." Gabe interrupted.
"Actually, they can be even more dangerous than we realize." Gordon rubbed the back of his neck.
"Does the guy have super powers or something?" Donny asked.
"Sort of. She has the power to wield Herobrine's babies." Gordon told them in a matter of fact tone. Wilson and Donny were whispering to each other but by their smug looks they were thinking inappropriately. Gabe just looked flat out confused and Alex seemed to be close to tears.
"And the new development was that a witness caught her eyes and hair changing colors. And during the attack some people saw her eyes flash white." Gordon said grimly.
"So she's getting stronger," Gabe mumbled. Everybody let that sink in and the silence was deafening.
"How?"
Gordon cocked his head and gave Alex a questioning stare.
"I-I mean how could he fall in love. He's a psychopath, incapable of love. And how could she fall in love back?" This is the question that no one had the answer to. Theories such as revenge, threats, and possible others. But it is impossible to tell how Herobrine could fall in love.

Steve walked next to Dare, still clutching the dagger in his pocket. Casey was peacefully sleeping in his arms with her head resting on his vest. Steve watched him carefully to make sure that the enderman didn't harm Casey.
Dare must've noticed Steve's quiet and tense behavior because he stopped walking and stared at Steve.
"Are you okay?" Steve tensed up and took in a breath.
"Fine." He replied.
Dare squinted his eyes and shook his head. "No you're not. You've been silent since we woke up and won't stop glancing at me. That's right, I noticed it. Now tell me what's wrong." Steve stepped back in surprise.
"W-what?"
Dare gave Steve the 'I'm not stupid' look. Steve sighed in defeat knowing that Dare would find out sooner or later.
"I heard a voice while I was sleeping that said you were evil. And then a stone dagger appeared in my pocket." To prove all of this Steve pulled out the dagger and looked at the ground ashamed. He glanced up to see Dare's reaction but to his surprise Dare was smiling. No, he was laughing.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Steve, I'm laughing because you believed in your brother." Dare stated.
"My brother? But the voice was feminine."
"You think because the voice is feminine that Herobrine couldn't be behind this? Especially since it's to split up his little brother and one of his toughest enemies?" Dare smirked knowing that Steve was tricked by the white-eyed menace.
"Oh." Was all Steve could mutter. Dare gracefully set Casey down on the ground and walked over to Steve.
"Hey, I know you're his brother, but my job is basically doing everything to stop him. And that means protecting my mind from him." Steve looked up at Dare and stared at his eye.
"How did you get that again?"
Dare pointed to his eye. "What, this?" Steve nodded.
"Herobrine slashed his sword and it connected." Dare commented.
"And about how long ago was that?" Steve questioned. Dare blinked at him before going deep into thought. "Um...I think it was about twenty years ago. I was still new in the resistance." Dare glared at Steve suspiciously. "Why?"
Steve didn't answer at first. Thoughts were racing in his head when it finally clicked. "You created a secondary team called the Protectors."
Dare looked at Steve as if he had gone crazy. "Where on Earth would you get that from?" Steve crossed his arms and gave Dare a knowing look. Dare sighed and started to come clean.
"Okay, yes I did create another team. The Resistance was a team that was a smaller version of the army. Everyone knew them, and I mean everyone. We just went out and attacked, simple as that.
"It was when I had to go against Herobrine that I knew how unorganized and dangerous the resistance could be. I was lucky to only fight him, but some of the other members ended up being mind controlled by Herobrine.
"So I created a league of younger members. There aren't very many but they are highly skilled. I had to implant a chip in their heads so that they couldn't be controlled by Herobrine. We call ourselves the Resistance in public so that absolutely no one knows about the protectors, otherwise Herobrine could find out and..." His voice trailed off with a hit of sadness.
"You could've told me before."
"Really? Because you were about to kill me a couple moments ago." Steve let out a nervous laugh and rubbed his neck. He looked at the dagger in his hand and offered it to Dare.
He took the dagger and snapped it in half then threw it as far as he could throw. "There. Now you don't have a mag-" Dare's eyes widened in worry and he quickly ran over to pick up Casey. Then he ran next to Steve and grabbed his hand. "Hold on."
Before Steve could do anything else, purple particles surrounded them and a wave of nausea swept over Steve. Finally the sickness depleted and the particles had diminished. Steve opened his eyes to see a towering palace with a dark black structure and bright purple blocks. The street was obsidian lines with end stone. Endermen in guard uniforms stood next to the palace doors. Dare looked over at Steve and winked. Steve couldn't help but be amazed.
Dare shifted Casey in a more comfortable position and started to walk towards the castle. Steve tried to walk but was left gawking at the castle. It was bigger and more elegant (in a dark sort of way) than Notch's castle. Steve gulped as he knew that the queen was important, and therefore he could possibly anger the queen.
They all stopped in front of a guard. "Halt," the guard said, "what is your business being here?" His voice was loud, gruff, and mean. Steve almost wanted to turn back around but he knew he had to do this for Alex.
Dare stepped up to the man. "We are here by order of the queen. Plus we have a federal officer down and an inter-dimension travel officer needing to use the portal for investigational reasons." The guy snarled before moving to the side to let the three inside. Dare stepped through but made sure to give the guard a smirk before walking through. Steve followed close behind and didn't make eye contact with the guard.
When they made it through, Steve slid in front of Dare to stop him. "What the heck was that?" Steve whisper-yelled.
"You know, you don't have to whisper." Dare mused. Steve just frowned at him and Dare's face turned serious. "It got us in."
"Yeah but Casey isn't 'down' to use government terms, and me traveling to another world is top secret." Steve said through gritted teeth.
"But we had orders by the queen so that's good enough." Dare stated. Steve huffed in frustration before calming down. Dare waited until Steve was calm again then strolled down the hallway.
Steve couldn't help but drool over everything. The walls were lavishly decorated with huge murals of battles and past kings and queens. The ceiling held chandeliers made of diamonds; the floors laminated in a shiny glow. Steve couldn't believe how this castle made Notch's castle look like a dirt shack.
"Hey." Steve's head snapped back towards the voice. Dare stood there peering at him. "Let's go. Her throne room is up the stairs." Steve blinked for a second before following Dare up the stairs.
Steve wiped his hands on his pants. He felt so anxious about seeing the queen. Which is ironic, considering he is a semi-god. Each step made Steve more and more nervous. He looked over at Dare who didn't seem at all affected by this. Before long, they had made it up the stairs.
Dare glanced back at Steve and smiled. There were huge stone doors right in front of them with a golden sign that said 'Throne Room". Dare adjusted Casey once again and opened the door. Steve took in a breath before entering.
The throne room wasn't as Steve had suspected. It didn't have the ornate architecture that the rest of the building had and the room was quite bright. There was furniture, but only couches and chairs nothing high quality and fancy.
Dare took the lead and strolled down to the throne. There was a huge picture that showed a family of Ender Dragons. And that's when Steve remembered that the queen wasn't an enderman, she was a dragon. So naturally, Steve started to freak again.
Dare stopped in front of the throne and looked around. "Queen Elaine?" He shouted. Him and Steve looked around to find her when a whoosh was heard. They both looked behind them.
"Why hello, Commander. I've been expecting you for sometime." Elaine looked at Dare with warm eyes. She was different from what Steve expected. She was in human form, her skin paler than snow, deep black hair that was braided all the way down her back with a single white streak that was part of her bangs, and eyes that were dark blue with grey specks. The only thing that could tell people that she was an Ender dragon were her wings.
"I'm sorry about that. We had some trouble on the way." Dare mentioned casually.
"So I see that Steve is here, and welcome by the way," Steve looked away feeling his cheeks start to burn," but where is Agent Hillman? She's quite good so I am pretty sure she would be able to find you."
Dare gave Steve a panicked look and since Dare was panicked Steve started to sweat a little. Dare turned his hand a bit and Casey's head fell the other way. The queen's face dropped and she rushed towards her. "What happened?" She asked frantically.
"W-well I-I...she-she-"
"She said her stomach hurt around the early morning and fell to the ground, unable to stand. Dare gave her a sleeping potion so he would be able to carry her here. We don't know what happened to her but we thought you would know." Dare and Elaine stood with their mouths agape and staring at Steve like he had just solved world peace. "What?" He asked.
"You just...never mind. I'll be right back. I have to take Casey to the medic." Elaine picked up Casey and flew away towards a pair of doors. When she was gone, Dare turned to Steve. "What the Nether was that?"
"What?"
"Don't 'what' me, why did you interject me?"
"Because you were stuttering and I didn't want you to make a fool out of yourself."
"Out of MYself?" Dare looked around exasperated.
"Yes. Out of YOURself."
"Look, I appreciate your help, but I can handle it for now on." Steve narrowed his eyes at him and looked intently at him. Dare's arms were crossed and he seemed to be annoyed. And that's when Steve's mouth curled into a smile and he moved his eyebrows up and down until Dare looked over at him.
"What are you doing?" Dare asked like Steve was a stupid teenager.
"I know."
"What?" Dare started to back away like Steve was a maniac, but with his weird smile, confusing phrases, and eyebrows moving up and down he may seem like a maniac.
"You like the queen!"
