Chapter XLIII

OMNISCIENT

Jimin is a douche. A complete douche.

"Are you feeling okay?" Dahyun asked as soon as he woke up from his sleep. She barely had any sleep that night, thinking if Jimin is okay. "How are you feeling?"

Jimin sat down and looked at Dahyun, "Get me a bottle of soju." He demanded, but Dahyun wanted to refuse. That Jimin in front of her was not the same person she met back then. "Please."

"Chim," she called. "No." She firmly said which made him sigh.

"I'll just get one myself," he stood up and acted that he was about to go to his kitchen to get himself more bottles to drink, but Dahyun held his hand and looked at him, pleading.

"Stop, Chim." She begged. "Drinking won't solve anything."

"You don't care," he aggressively took his hand from her. It was a bit unexpected and strong, so Dahyun his wristwatch's sharp part scratch her hand. Out of the blue, it suddenly bled.

She looked at it and tried understanding what has gotten into her fiancé. She followed him, but it wasn't her intention to preach to him or anything. She just wants to clean her hand in the nearest sink.

Jimin took out another grapefruit soju from his refrigerator while Dahyun quickly washed her bloody hands. The wound was quite long, but not that dangerous to lose a large amount of blood. His eyes glanced at her wound which made his eyebrows meet.

"What happened to that?" He asked.

Dahyun chuckled and avoided eye contact, so she focused her eyes on her hand. "It's just a little scratch."

"Little? It's not a little." He placed the soju aside and held her hand. It was still stinging her and she just wants to continue washing it until the bleeding stops. "Tell me what happened." He asked seriously.

She looked away, sighing. "Something just scratched through."

"What something?"

"Y-Your watch." His eyes went to her and they stared at each other like that. He doesn't know what to say since it was his fault why she got a 2-inch long wound on her palm. "Don't worry about this. I can handle this."

"Wait." Jimin fled swiftly, so she patiently waited for him until he gets back. When he came back, he's already carrying his first aid kit. "I'm sorry," he sniffed while damping small amounts of betadine on her wound. "It wasn't intentional."

"I understand." She replied. He then started covering it with bandage. "Chim," she called him. "What are your plans now?"

"I'm going to Mina's dad and tell him about her." He answered. "You must go to your classes. I'll just fetch you after."

"I-I can manage, jagi. You don't need to fetch me."

"I insist." He said. "I've done wrongly to you. I just want to treat you better." Dahyun looked away and sniffed. At times like this, she feels like crying. She feels bad for not being able to give everything to him. She may seem strong and brave when she first met him at the gallery, but she has this soft side as well. Well, every woman does.

She quickly wiped her tear and he noticed it, so he cupped her cheeks and looked straight into her eyes; into her soul. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have treated you badly just because Mina came back." He apologized.

"I-I'm sorry if I can't be as good as her--"

"Shush," they touched foreheads. "You don't have to do that. I love you."

MINA'S POV

Joshua feels so cool while he's driving. I wanted to laugh because this is my first time to be driving with him since we take cabs back in the States most of the time.

The traffic wasn't heavy, so we were just in time when we arrived at the meeting place. Just by looking from the outside, I can see Hyorin unnie and Jooyoung oppa inside the tea shop. "Do you want me to go with you?" He asked as he parks.

"I'll just introduce you so swiftly." I told him. "And I'll ask them if I can bring you with me in the wedding."

"I'm shy," he scratched the back of his head, looking so coy. I wanted to puke because of his cheesy expressions, to be honest. "I'm joking."

"Youngbin doesn't like to see his dad doing stuff like that. He may barf." I looked at Youngbin and he's playing with his tiny fingers. "Let's go." He nodded and so we both got off from the car.

As usual, they started eyeing me and Joshua again. I believe that they know about me being alive; the lady who came back from the dead.

Joshua opened the door for us since I'm holding his baby. "Mina!" I heard Hyorin unnie's voice, so I smilingly tilted my head towards their direction. I noticed the quick change she had on her face when she saw Joshua and Youngbin. Jooyoung oppa's face also seemed curious.

We headed towards their table, so they stood up and greeted us. "Annyeong," Hyorin unnie smiled at me. Her eyes went to Joshua and to Youngbin which glanced at me right away. I bet she demands answers from me. "Please, take a seat." Joshua and I did what she told us.

It was awkwardly silent as soon as we sat down, so I decided to speak first. "Congratulations on getting married." I smiled and they both thanked me. "Uh, by the way," I pointed Joshua. "This is Joshua, my friend."

"A-And the baby?" Jooyoung oppa seemed curious.

"This is Youngbin, Joshua's son." I grinned wider.

"And you're the mother?" Hyorin unnie asked. A lot of people mistake me for being Youngbin's mother because they say that I look like him. They also think that me and Joshua are a couple because we're just so close.

"Nope." I answered.

"But you look like the baby." Just as I thought.

"The baby's mother looks like me. We look similar." They just nodded their heads. It's really awkward between the four of us because no one wants to talk. I don't know what to say since it's been two years since we last saw each other. We just kept on calling each other through phone calls.

Thankfully, the food came, so we had something to munch on. The food was one dish short because they did not expect that Joshua would be coming with me. "Oh, w-we'll just order something for you." Hyorin unnie was about to stand up, but Joshua insisted that it's okay. "Are you sure?"

He stood up and took Youngbin from me, "Yep. I had other plans as well." He smiled and glanced at me. "I'll go now." I nodded and so leaned to me to give me a kiss on the forehead.

"Take care." I waved my hand to him when he started walking away. I watched him exit the door and when he did, I looked back at Hyorin unnie and Jooyoung oppa.

"Okay, you're not friends with him." Hyorin unnie said as soon as we met gazes.

"We're best friends, then."

"No, something more than that."

"Super best friends."

"Mina, you know what I mean."

"Okay," I sighed. "We're super mega best friends." They made a pokerface when I said my pun. Okay, jokes aren't meant for me.

"What's with the forehead kiss, sister?" Her pitch raised a little. I know that she's pretty surprised at us for doing such gesture. I think I got used to his sweetness back then in the States that I coped up with that attitude of his. "Something is definitely going on between the two of you."

"I can assure to you that we're just friends." I told her. "By the way, I'm bringing him as my plus one."

"Jimin will be at the wedding." Jooyoung oppa said.

"And so?"

"And so he will get hurt once he sees you again." We looked back and saw the woman behind those words.

His fiancé...?
