Lacey's POV

The team is still at Jase's house, so I walk back over to my house. I lay on my bed while listening to music on my laptop.

There's a knock on my door, so I put my laptop on my desk and skip over to the door. I open it to see Luke leaning on the doorway with a huge grin on his face.

"Hey Luke. What's up with you and the smiling?"

He lightly pushes past me and walks across my room to my bed then sits down. I turn to him and laugh.

"Oh yeah sure come on in." I say with sarcasm.

"Oh thanks." He says as I laugh again and sit next to him.

"Yeah so did you come here for a reason?"

"Well I thought you would want me here. I'm hurt." He fakes a sad face and puts his hand over his heart.

"Oh shut up and tell me what you came here for." I slightly push him.

"Fine fine. I know when I'm not wanted."

"Aw lukie! You know I love you!" I kiss his cheek.

I chuckle while he glares at me then I gesture for him to continue. "Anyways I think you should tell Jase."

Jase's POV

Me and the guys are in my kitchen. I grab my phone and call Lacey who seemed to disappear.

"Hello?" Lacey.

"Hey Lace." Me.

"Oh hey." Lacey.

I hear someone in the background ask her something and she replies 'it's Jase.' I noticed the voice sounds like a guy and I feel a tinge of jealousy.

"Sorry that was Luke." Lacey.

Luke?! What the hell is he doing over there? Why are they together?

"Oh cool. So is it fine if me and the team come over and stay in the game room?" Me.

"Yeah no problem." Lacey.

"K see you in a bit." Me.

"K." Lacey.

I hang up and tell the guys we're leaving. Then I lock the door as we slowly walk over to Lacey's house.

"Sooo we going to lace's house huh?" River asks with a smirk on his face.

"So?"

"So she's hot." Brian says.

"Where's Luke?" Quinn asks.

"With Lacey."

"With her? Why?" Will asks.

"I dunno."

"Don't you care?" Tanner asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Should I ?"

I totally care. And I don't like it one bit.

Lacey's POV

"No I can't tell him"

"Lace if you like him then you should chance it and tell him. Take the risk!"

" I can't. I don't want to ruin our friendship-" the phone rings and I start talking to Jase. I finish the call and look over at Luke.

"So what's up?" He asks looking confused.

"The guys are coming over."

"Oh cool." He moves closer to me as I back up towards the headboard. "So are you gonna tell Jase?"

I shake my head no and he starts tickling me. He straddles me me as he continues to tickle me.

"Haha stop ha please!"

"Think about it!"

"Haha okay"

I look up at him and we gaze into each others eyes. Our lips touch with no spark. We continue to kiss for a minute then I feel him bite my bottom lip. I open just out of curiosity, to see if it gets better. Our tongues tangle as we kiss for another minute. Then we both pull away and our foreheads touch as we look into each other's eyes. After we recover from shock we both start laughing.

"Haha we are never doing that again!" I sit up and laugh.

"Haha yeah that was just weird and awkward."

"Yep. I only see you as a brother."

"Yeah you too."

"Hey! Did you just call me a guy? Because I have a butt and boobs!"

He slowly gazes up and down my body.

"Yes I know!" His voice turns husky and deep.

"You jerky asshole!"

"What did you just call me?"

"You have ears! You heard!"

"Oh okay! It's on Bracey Lacey!" I gasp. He called me that once before.

~ Flashback ~

The doorbell rings and I run downstairs to open it. I look at a blonde guy with green eyes. He smiles at me and I sheepishly smile back.

Oh my god! There is a total hot guy in front of me. And he just talked to me. I can't wait to tell Hope. She is gonna be so happy for me.

I'm not the most popular girl in school. Actually I'm known as the schools nerd. But no one is mean to me or bullies me because Hope is my friend. Plus she is cheer captain. Everyone loves her but I don't see why not she's really nice.

Anyways back to the boy.

"Hey I'm Luke. I moved down a few houses from here with my mom, dad, and little sister. I just came to say hi. So what's your name?"

"Um uh Lacey."

"Cool name and I like the color of your braces. Purple's a nice color."

"Thanks."

"Hey man! What are you doing here?!" Duke walks behind me and looks at Luke.

"Oh hey Duke. I moved here a few houses down that way." He pointed to his left.

"Oh cool and I see you met my sister." Luke nods. "Well you wanna go hang out?"

Luke says yeah and follows Duke downstairs to his room. I close the door and turn around to see Luke again, but closer. He leans down to my height since I'm a shortie.

"You know I think we're going to be good friends Bracey Lacey."

He walks off and leaves me smiling to myself.

Finally a guy friend. Other then my brother, doesn't count, and Lendell, also doesn't count he's gay.

~ Flashback over ~

Luke is still hovering over me as I snap out of my daydream.

"Are you okay?" He has a worried look on his face.

"Yes I'm fine Lukie!"

"Uhhhh! I told you not to call me that."

"Or what?"

He raises his eyebrow in surprise at my response and then mischievousness is shown in his eyes. Just as I'm about to ask him what he starts to tickle me once again. That's when the door is opened by the guys and Jase.

"Woah! Did we walk in on something?" River teases us as Luke jumps off me and sits at the computer chair by my desk. I sit on the edge of my bed while fixing my hair then turn back to the guys.

"No." Luke replies.

"I think we did." Derek says.

"No he was just tickling me, idiots. Now get out of my room! The game room is downstairs where you all should be, not bothering me."

Luke's POV

Lacey pushes the guys out her room except Jase. He is left with me.

"So what's going on with you and Lacey?" l look over at Jase and see he looks mad, angry, but most importantly jealous.

"Nothing dude. I know you like her." His face changes from anger to embarrassment.

"Huh what uh I don't li-like Lacey. You-you're just crazy." Sure. I think sarcastically.

"Whatever dude I know you do. Everyone knows you do."

"I know man. She's the only one who can't tell."

He's right. She's so oblivious.

"Don't worry dude. Everything happens for a reason."

He nods and we walk downstairs to the game room to see Lacey beat the guys in a video game.

That kiss with Lacey was a surprise. It was good but weird since we're like siblings. I liked Lacey before when I met her after I just moved in the neighborhood. But now Jase is in love with her and their a better match. So I'm just gonna forget about the crush and focus on trying to get Lacey and Jase to stop being so oblivious.
