I ended up going to the carnival. It was about thirteen minutes away by bicycle. I secretly hoped my mom wouldn't let me go, but she did, and told me that I should go, especially if my friends other than Indiana and Grace would be coming.
Alice Addison, a girl from my math class told me that she'd be there, and that made me quite excited to go to the carnival.
My mom was happy that was going, and she even offered that I could use lipstick and a little eyeliner, which surprised me since she's actually never allowed me to use them.
I wore a basic black tank top with denim jacket and shorts. My black messenger bag was hanging on my shoulders and I walked to find my friends.
The music was blasting through the speakers loudly, making my head pound a little by the beat of the song.
Spotting two familiar figures by the cotton candy stand, I walked to them. Grace looked at me as I approached them. "Hey," she greeted.
Indiana turned around and smiled, "Oh, hi."
I gave her a small wave as we walked. "So, where are we headed to?" I questioned. Indiana shrugged as we turned to Grace.
"I'm not sure either," she said. "Let's just take a look at what they have this year."
I nodded my head and looked around. The sky was turning into a pink color as the sun was going down. It was around five in the evening, and there were many people attending the carnival.
We saw Alice on the way, and she came along with us. I saw many people from my school, either from my class or people I just see on the hallways. Most of them were in pairs, holding hands and laughing a lot.
Grace turned to Alice. "I'm sorry, who are you?"
Alice frowned as she answered. "I'm sorry, are you new here?"
Indiana started laughinng, and I found myself laughing at their interaction. "They know each other?" I asked Indiana as they were talking animatedly to each other.
She nodded her head as she explained. "Alice and I have been neighbors since we were born, and they both have known each other since elementary school."
I nodded my head as I absorbed the information she told me.
The four of us started to walk and played several games. We were approached by Grayson and his friends as he was going on the same ride as us, which was the ferris wheel, a typical ride.
It was quite a long line since it was probably the most popular ride in here. Most of these people were whom I recognized to be from my school.
The place was loud from the chatters, but I could still hear the speakers clearly, and I noticed that the song had changed to a slower one.
In a few rows in front of me, I recognized a group of people. It was Alexander Howell with his friends, and I could see him laughing at one of his friend's joke. I inwardly sighed, wishing that I was the reason he'd laugh.
In my dreams you're with me, we'll be everything I want us to be.
He then took a glace to the back, and I secretly hoped that he'd look at me. I wanted to see him smile.
And from there, who knows, maybe this will be the night that we kiss for the first time.
His dark eyes were locked to mine and broke it away after a few moments as we had to move forward because of the line.
Or is that just me and my imagination?
