And it really started feeling that I was on the set of Bollywood movie or daily soap. But this moment just felt so right. As if I never wanted this moment to end.

But obviously, someone surely had that urgent need to break that wonderful moment for me and it was none other than the same guy who just saved me.

"Miss are you okay?"

Oh my god, his voice... his voice was so manly and caring and as if it had passed from silk... so smooth. Damn... this guy surely had something in him.

"Hello? Ma'am, are you okay?"

I was broke from my train of thought again. This was happening again. I have become so lost in my thoughts that the people near me have to drag me back to reality.

"Yeah, I am fine. But I guess our things aren't."

"Oh yeah! But that doesn't matter what matters is you. You sure you okay?"

"Yup. Lemme help you."

I picked those files and my phone. I handed the files to him and had a look over my phone. Goodness, another crack, I surely need to give this back in the company so that they can change the screen. I have to take more care of my phone it's just been two months and there are already seven cracks over its screen, I can't afford or ask for a new phone every six or eight months. I was becoming really irresponsible these days.

"How long have you been using this phone?"

"Two months," I replied with a sad tone in my voice.

"What?? Are you insane? Like how many cracks how you planted on this dear one?"

"Excuse me? It was because of you my phone fell on the ground"

"Excuse me?" he mimicked me. "It's not because of me, it's because of you" he pointed his finger towards me. "You were the one who was walking in such a hurry and with blind eyes. And in fact, shouldn't you be thanking me for at least saving you from falling. It's as if the saying has become true I saved your butt!!' "

He mimicked my voice and my style of speaking and I just burst out into fits of laughter which I couldn't control anymore.

"What's so funny?"

"You know 'what's so funny'" I quoted his words with my fingers and try mimicking his voice but I failed in doing so because I was way too busy laughing.

He joined me in laughing.

"Hi I am Sid" he stretched his hand out.

"Am Akansha. Nice to meet you" I took his hand in mine.

"Thank you" just then my phone rang again, it was Jai, again, and I remembered that he was waiting for me in the parking. I received the call, and I was blasted with questions.

"Where are you Annu? I am waiting for you in this heat of parking. Now look, don't you cancel the plans, you know this is very important. Think about your sister, my girlfriend and your future brother-in-law. I had told maa to not give you any work and I know she has not given you work so stop being so lazy. Please Annu come on. Only you know Ankita's perfect choice. Please don't do this to your friend. Think about this poor guy who had just met your sister six months ago and had fallen for her since the day he saw her and though he knows her every choice but still wants to be assured that his first proposal goes right. Please Annu I will let you eat unlimited pani-puri and for sure I will pay, the treat will be on me." Yes, they started dating even without proposing. Lame right! But that doesn't matter all that matters is pani-puri!

"You sure about the pani-puri?" I could not think of anything else except that spicy pani-puri and that too for free.

"Yes, I am 110% sure. Please come Annu I beg you. Please Akansha"

"Just wait, I will be there in 5"

"Okay! Love you Annu! You are the best"

"Okay bye! Love you too" I ended the call with that.

"Your boyfriend?" this was the first question as soon as I ended the call. I never knew he was still there. His question had utterly left me in shock. And of course, my response was also in shock.

"Nah!!! No way!!! He's reserved for my sister. He is actually my sister's boyfriend and he is going to propose her for marriage tonight"

"Ohh..."

"Yeah ohh... I'll take your leave he's waiting for me downstairs. Bye. It was nice meeting you."

"You too Akansha!"

I left him with a smile.

I went downstairs in the parking and found Jai desperately walking back and forth. He was indeed tensed. Well, who better than this guy for my sister.

"Jai!!"

"Then what about my pani-puri???"

"Ok fine! Once the proposal is all set I will give you the treat."

"I will settle the deal only if you let me drive the car" I crossed my hands and just prayed in my mind that he says yes.

"Ok fine... Just please drive slowly and safely" He threw the keys in my direction and I easily caught them. Today was my lucky day I guess!

I turned on the ignition and put on my seat belt while driving a bit. I really had this bad habit and within the next 3 seconds, I am getting my ultimate piece of advice again from yours truly.

3... 2... 1...

"Annu how many times I have told you to put on your seat belt before starting to drive. But you never listen to me. One day you are gonna get in such a big trouble that you will remember my words that day but remembering them would be of no use because it would be already too late" he was really serious this time and I thought obeying him right now would be the best choice. I definitely didn't want him worried because of me.

"Sorry, Jai. I pinky promise it won't happen again."

"Do you really actually promise me? Because I won't be repeating this again the next time."

"Yes I actually promise you I would be safe while driving"

"Good lady!"

I let out a short laugh at his antics.

"So what are you planning for Ankita?? And where are we headed so I know what route to take"

"Oh sorry! I forgot to tell you. Do you remember the beach house I took you last time and asked how it was?"

"Yep!"

"Just take there. And about Ankita... For her, there's a lot of stuff today. There are a lot of surprises for her. A lot had been in my mind since the day we started getting close."

"Tell me already man!!"

"Nope! Not telling you. I already know you are going to torture Ankita so go on with torturing her because I am not gonna answer a single word. I will simply ignore your existence if you ask me any sorts of questions regarding the proposal."

We continued having these stupid talks and finally reached our destination. The beach-house wasn't that far but it wasn't close-by either.

When we reached the beach-house I could already see the decorations. There were lights hung on the tree and there was kind-of a sitting arrangement made outside the house near the shore. It was already awesome.

"Do you want me to inspect or what? You could have just video-called me"

"No, there are still some arrangements that need to be made!"

"What more do you want to do? It's already much and perfect!!"

"I don't know!! It's just... something feels missing"

"Did you get your song perfect and is your guitar here?" You guessed it right... Jai sings, and that too, amazingly! If he wasn't going into the dental field he would have been a really great singer.

"Yep, I got them. And the strings are also perfect. I have the song memorized by heart. Wouldn't miss a beat."

"Ok good! You brought the lilies right?"

"Yep! They are on their way"

"Then it's done!"

"Just have a look around and in the house for once. I want it to be the best for her. I don't want to ruin it by any chance"

I started having a look around the house. He put up fairy lights inside the house as well.

"Yes, this is the only reason she loves fairy lights because it always reminds her of you. It always gives her a feel of your presence. She always feels that you are around her and she feels happy because of it."

"God, I never knew this!"

"How would you because I am the only person who knows this! And one more thing that was the lamest excuse I have ever heard! And Ankita bought it! I can't believe this!!"

"Even I am unable to digest this!!" I let out a laugh because seriously that was the lamest excuse I had ever given. What would you expect from a 19-year-old? Something way better.

"So how does it look??"

"It's amazing Jai!!"

"Are you sure?"

"No"

"I hate you!"

"I know you love me... So do you want me to stay till the flowers arrive or should I leave?"

"No, no, wait I would drop you"

"No need... you need to wait here until the flowers arrive. I would go on my own. I would just call a cab or I will find an auto"

And that's when someone rang the door-bell.

"Must be the flower-guy"

"How typical of you!?"

"What!?"

"How do you know it's a guy?"

"It's a guy wanna bet?"

"Bet! But how much"

"If I win no pani-puri for you and if you win the treat is still on"

"Hey! No way!! That's a win-win situation for you. If you win you give me a treat and if I win you still give me a treat! This sounds interesting" The door-bell rang again.

"That sounds utterly horrific! Do you even listen to what you speak?! Fine deal. There is no winning with you"

"Yes!!!! Now go open the door."

He opened the door and damn! It was guy and Jai had already started celebrating his victory.

"He is a guy!! He is a guy!!" He kept on saying that in a sing-a-song manner.

"Okay come on stop you're scaring the poor guy"

"Oops sorry, man! Here's your payment and keep the change! Take that as a treat"

"Thanks, man and all the best"

"For??"

"For your proposal! All the best!!" With that, he left leaving me and Jai in utmost shock.

"HOW DID HE KNOW!!?"

"Stop shouting Annu maybe because of the decoration."

"Oh..."

"Now let's drop you to your office it's already 5:30"

"5:30 already??"

"Yep! And I am driving this time"

"Noooo" I whined like a baby.

"Yesssss.... Now stop whining like a baby"

"Fine!!" And with that last argument, we left for my office.
