I was standing on the front door thinking about how am I going to explain mom. As mom will be the only person right now at home.

It's gonna be difficult. Damn difficult!!

I wish my life revolved just around my room, music, and me. Oh and food too... Food, my first and forever love...

Oh really!!! Is food your first love???

How could I forget...

Well... okay so let me brief you a little about me and my family so that you know how crazy and amazing my family is. My mom, she is tall, has brownish-red wavy hair and bright hazel eyes. I and Anki, my elder sister, share half of her features. Anki has gotten bright hazel eyes just like mom but at times in excitement they change color and she has wavy golden-brown hair with a tinge of brown in the ends. God knows where the hell she got that golden-brown shade. I guess from my maternal grand-mom. Anyways, me on the other hand, I have wavy black hair with a tinge of brown in the end just like Anki's but mine are till my mid-back whereas her hair is longer than mine. My eyes are similar to dad; they are bright grey with a tinge of blue in it. Dad says they turn all grey when I am sad. I and mom are same, we both ramble, while she rambles when she is confused or tensed whereas I ramble when I am excited, confused or tensed. Anki and dad are quite but they ask a huge round of questions and are always suspicious, with full-on sarcasm in their blood and can calm me and my mom at any given moment, in short, they are the balancers of our small cute family. Also, both of them are great stalkers...

Yeah... yeah, think of an evil grin on their face when they find something they probably shouldn't have.

I am pretty sure this has explained you many things probably. So there is gonna be a huge bunch of questions from everyone. But the problem is mom right now.

I rang the door-bell and after a few minutes mom opened the door. I could clearly see the "what are you doing here right now?" expression on her face.

"Hey mom, what's up for lunch?"

I just thought I could divert her mind but no I was totally wrong. She is MOM and all moms are the same.

"What are you doing here right now? How did the meeting go? Don't tell me they rejected you? Or did they fire you?? You seriously shouldn't have left your old job? Now what will you do? You're jobless now... oh god oh no... My daughter is jobless!! Who'll marry her now... Oh lord please help me find a groom of her choice in future... and--"

And here it goes. So much of melodrama!

"Mom just stop this questionnaire and these stupid sayings. And no they haven't rejected me and of course I am not jobless. Rather I have become a P.A."

I said in a flat-duh tone though I was really excited internally.

"P.A.??"

Although those were just two words rather letters but she again had that questioning look on her face

"Why would they want you to be a 'P.A.'? You are just simple ordinary little idiotic girl who rambles all the time"

Say what??!!!

"Are you kidding me? Anyways, it's a really long story, can I explain along with having lunch"

"Okay. And no I wasn't kidding. Go get fresh, change your clothes and I'll heat up the lunch till then"

I heard a short laugh from her. She was kidding.

It wasn't a difficult task as I had thought. Mom was easy to explain till now although the main explanation about me becoming a P.A. is gonna take time. But I probably guess that will go normally while having lunch. It will be easy... Hopefully!

I was lying on the couch resting after eating the best lunch in this world. Not to mention of course my mom makes the world's best food. At least better than me.

Anyway a big thanks to god that mom easily and calmly understood everything. Though she ended up laughing so hard after listening about the incident of firing Sameer that she was about to fall off the couch. And I ended up laughing by just seeing that scene.

Now the target was Anki and dad. Although dad was understanding and mom was also helper but the risk was Anki. She was the hardest to explain. She asked everything in detail. Not that it was a problem for me I have been facing this since the last 24 years!!!

Woah that's a really long duration I should definitely give myself a medal!

Though she was 26 and two years elder than me but at times she acted like a 'shakki aunty' [shakki is a person who always doubts over you] of 65 years but on the other hand she was way too crazier than me. She even acted like a five year old at times. But I really loved her because during my worst time she was the one who supported me the most, even more than mom and dad. Even thinking of those days would bring tears in my eyes. But now I had decided to leave my past behind and start a new life and never regret those days. I had promised Anki that she won't ever see tears in my eyes, at least not of sadness.

The door-bell rang breaking the train of my thoughts. It would either be dad or Anki. Before I could reach the door mom had already opened the door. This has happened I don't know how many times and it's really irritating that you get up from your cozy place to open the door and till you reach the door someone has already opened it.

It was dad. Mom gestured me to go upstairs and as decided by me and mom, mom will explain dad and I will explain Anki. She gave me the toughest part. She was really clever. Such a cheater!!

Again the door-bell rang, this time I knew that mom will be with dad. So I opened the door.

"Hi Annu! How was your day?"

I so loved her. Even after working for the whole day at the clinic and being tired she would always greet as if she was never tired, as if she had rested the whole day. She was really selfless, she never thought about herself and just because of these things it made me love her the more and more every single day. Though I love every single thing about myself but at times I really wished I was like her. With a sigh I said I wish almost inaudible to Ankita.

She snapped her fingers in front of my eyes bringing me back from my thoughts.

"No hello for me after this tiresome day??"

"Yo Anki! My day was awesome as heaven!!! How did your day go?"

I got aside from the door and let her in the house following her upstairs.

"How can you tell there is heaven and hell? Did you visit it??"

And here goes the sarcasm with a big round of applause... Applaud everyone come on!!!

"Mine was quite similar like yours but with a twist"

"What twist??"

I was excited to hear it. A twist means a surprise and surprise meant excitement.

"Don't get too excited Annu, not every twist is good."

She sounded a bit low today. With a sigh she continued,

"My senior under whom I used to work with resigned 2 months ago and no one informed me and from tomorrow there will be a new guy and I have to set everything according to him."

"Why did your senior leave the job? Your clinic paid him a good amount. And who is the new guy? How does he look?? What's his age?? Is he good by behavior?? And another thing where's the twist in this??"

"Jeez. Calm down Annu. You ask so many questions at a time."

"So do you darling!!!"

"Well first of all I don't even know the guy because he doesn't work with us. And this itself is a twist in my life. I have to change everything, right from my desk to my style of working according to him. I have been working with Rohan since two years and now this new guy, who will be a total stranger to me I have to work with him. Rohan is such a stupid guy. Kya hua nah uski girlfriend changed job 2 months ago and Rohan ne bhi vahan apply kiya [Translation: What happened na, his girlfriend changed her job 2 months ago and Rohan also applied there] and he got a job over there and on the same day he gave the resignation letter but our head said he has to work for 2 months over here. And this much happened but no one I seriously mean like no one informed or cared to tell me because they were afraid that I too will resign."

She sounded really low and worried today. She has never been like this before. I had to excite her. And I perfectly knew what will excite her.

"Okay. So there's a surprise for you."

"And what's that?" She raised her eyebrows.

"I have become my boss' P.A." I said it all in a single go.

"YOU HAVE WHAT??"

She almost screamed like a five year old... like I said.

"What is with everyone shouting today??"

"Sorry but no sorry. Are you serious or are you just trying to make me forget everything what happened today. Look if you are joking then this ain't working"

"No. No, I am totally serious. First go get fresh and I will explain what happened today"

After an explanation of an hour, I got back what I wanted, Anki's huge smile.

"Oh I just love you Annu"

She said hugging me really tight. I could barely breathe.

"Even I love you too siso but if you don't leave me right now I would probably die."

"Oh I'm sorry. So when's the treat?"

She said while we were coming downstairs for our dinner.

"What treat?"

"Treat for becoming a P.A. on the very first meet with your boss. By the way what's her name?"

"Samaira Goel. And treat... umm you guys decide when and where"

I said while sitting on my favorite place at the dining table.

"What treat are you girls talking about?" Mom said.

"Treat for Annu becoming P.A."

Anki said in an exciting tone. I knew this topic had changed her mood. Thank god she was back again... what I mean is happy as always.

"Yup. So you guys decide when and where you want treat and we'll enjoy to the fullest."

"Okay. We'll decide it later now eat your food"

"Yes mom!!"

I and Anki said it together and then we laughed and talked till mid-night discussing everything, Anki told me about everything what had happened with her today in detail but this time she didn't sound that upset. We wanted to talk more but mom told us that it was way too late for us to stay awake and she was right it was already 1:30, so we went to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for both of us. Hope it goes best for her.

As I was about to change to my night dress when Anki said about waking up early tomorrow as her Royal Enfield was going for servicing tomorrow and she would drop me and take Activa with her. I am so gonna learn how to ride a bike I just love her navy blue Enfield and it has 'AA' written in golden color at its side. Dad had to pay extra for doing that because Anki being Anki was way too stubborn and had it written over her bike. Those were mine and initial letters.

I could never think of a better sister than her.
