It had been a week since the 'jinyoung' fiasco and Jungkook was relieved when the school week had gone by with ease and no trouble from the said boy. Taehyung thinks the threat was just a bluff because jinyoung is too kind of a person to pull up anything to hurt him. Moreover jinyoung had been avoiding Taehyung every time Taehyung tried to approach him to apologize, this was the proof that Taehyung used in every debate with jungkook about whether jinyoung is plotting against him or not. After arguing several times and coming to same conclusion and accepting defeat jungkook decided to drop it and relax during the weekend with his friends and boyfriend.

It was a Saturday and the boys were at jungkook's place playing board games and watching movies. They'd watched avengers: age of Ultron and Harry potter and the goblet of fire- Taehyung's request- and played video games which bored the hell out of Taehyung because he kept losing to Yeonjun and Mingyu. Yugyeom was a softy so he let Taehyung win one game and when it came to jungkook, Taehyung was on a winning streak. When Taehyung realized jungkook was losing on purpose he got mildly mad and stormed to jungkook's room. This made all the boys stop playing the game and go up to cheer their favourite boy.

They brought candy, chocolates and whatever sweet they could find to make Taehyung smile but none of seemed to work. Jungkook went to the kitchen and sought his eomma's cookie jar. He took the entire jar upstairs and gave it to Taehyung, who opened it and ate a cookie suspiciously. After eating three cookies Taehyung launched himself at his boyfriend and kissed him on the lips right in front of his friends, his anger dissolving like salt in water. Though the boys fake gagged, they still looked at the couple fondly. They then decided to play Uno which Taehyung could barely keep up with. He got so frustrated after constantly reciving plus twos and plus fours that he threw his cards away and screamed 'quit'.

Jungkook soon won and went to cuddle his boyfriend on the bed watching the rest of his friends play rather aggressively.

"I don't understand the hype of this game." Taehyung muttered pouting.

"Aww, I'll teach you when they are not around yeah?" Jungkook suggests. "We can plan our cheating strategies too."

Taehyung looked up at his boyfriend, giving him a mischievous grin and nodding. Jungkook chuckled and boopped Taehyung's nose making the boy giggle.

"You're such a bunny! You look so cute when you scrunch your nose like that!" Taehyung pinched jungkook's nose lightly.

"Like what?" Jungkook asked, unaware of his own habit.

"I'll record it one day and show it to you."

"Sure thing baby." Jungkook leaned down and kissed Taehyung's cheek just as yugyeom yelled in victory with an annoyed Mark next to him. Yugyeom was doing an awkward dance which made everyone laugh as Mark started giving out the cards again.

"Hey Kookie, I got to go somewhere." Taehyung said. Jungkook frowned wanting his boyfriend to be with him for the entire day but he knew he cannot restrict Taehyung. So, he nodded instead of saying anything.

"I'm going to a dog café, you remember I told you about it last week." Taehyung clarified knowing jungkook didn't want him to leave but the boy was tried hard to hold in his protests.

"Baby no. I.. I don't need any explanation. I trust you s-"

"And I trust you too. I want you to know where I'm going and that's why I told you. I know you're trying your best to make me feel comfortable in this relationship and it makes me so so happy jungkookie. Thank you so much Kookie." Taehyung smiled pecking his boyfriend.

"I- like seeing your smile. Makes me truly happy."

Fuck! I was about to say it!

"So, you're going to see the puppy?" Jungkook asked with a look of realisation and relief. "Want me to come along?"

"Nah, not necessary. I'm just going to check on the puppy and be back soon."

"Alright. But be careful yeah?"

"Yes koo.." Taehyung smiled and pecked jungkook's lips again before telling his friends that he's going out for a bit.

Jungkook walked Taehyung down to the front door smiling and waving at him as he made his way to the bus stop. When jungkook was walking up to his room he stopped in his track hearing soft sniffles coming from the bathroom. His family wasn't home so it's one of his friends for sure. Getting worried jungkook opened the door without knocking not at all prepared for what he's about to see. His eyes widened almost falling out of their sockets when he saw the person in front of him.

Soobin-ah...

His baby brother stood there, by the sink with wide bloodshot eyes, nose and cheeks red. Jungkook noticed that Soobin stood stonestill in fear, surprised by his brother suddenly barging in. Jungkook hadn't even realised that Soobin was back from his drama club session, he didn't hear the front door or Soobin walking up the stairs to his room. Jungkook's eyes followed his brothers hands going down to the sink where the water was running, red, and he choked, losing his breath. Soobin let out a sob hiding his hands behind his back not even bothering to close the tap.

"Binnie..." Jungkook whispered stepping ahead to close the tap and taking his brother in his arms, letting him cry.

Soobin, however, didn't wrap his arms around jungkook, only resting his head on Jungkook's chest. He kept his arms behind his back, ashamed of himself.

"I d-didn't mean it. H-hyung I promise... I-it was a mistake." Soobin cried while jungkook rubbed his back avoiding touching soobin's arm.

"Shh.. I'm not mad. It's okay binnie.. it's okay..."

Jungkook could see the blood still dripping and he wanted to bandage his brother's wound but he didn't want to offend him by stepping into his personal bubble. Though jungkook was hugging Soobin, he had read somewhere online about a situation like this. He remembered bits and pieces, offering comfort yet maintaining distance.

"Hyung... H-hyung.. don't leave, ple-ase, don't leave me.." Soobin hiccuped.

Jungkook teared up listening to his brother sobbing and pleading in his arms.

"I'm not leaving you bin-bin. Never ever. I'm here. Right here." Jungkook hugged Soobin tighter. "You're safe. You're alright. Everything's alright."

Taehyung entered the café and got attacked by a mass of adorable energetic dogs. He had some trouble finding the café but a little asking around gave him the way. Now here he was, smiling widely at the puppies jumping up on him to get most of his attention. Taehyung played with them for a while, taking a poodle in his arms and petting it as other little puppies barked demanding to be taken in his arms as well.

"Taehyung!" A familiar voice grabbed his attention away from the puppies.

"You remembered my café!" Kihyun laughed.

"Of course hyung. I can't forget this place." Taehyung giggled along, placing the poodle down with his friends.

"Tell me the truth, you missed me didn't you?" Kihyun teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Not even a bit. I'm just checking in on the puppy I brought here last week." Taehyung playfully rolled his eyes; laughing when Kihyun laughed.

"The little guy is at the main NGO, since I didn't want to overwhelm him by placing him into this pack directly."

"Oh.." Taehyung pouted but smiled anyway.

"Don't worry. You can come see him tomorrow if you want?" Kihyun said. "I'll give you the address to the NGO. Also my mother named the puppy 'Yoon', because he's a grumpy little brat just like an officer you might know."

Taehyung giggled at the subtle mention of the officer he met last week. Kihyun asked Taehyung to take a seat and order anything he wanted but Taehyung politely declined saying that he had to leave because his friends were waiting for him back home. Kihyun pouted a little, giving Taehyung the address and receiving a promise from Taehyung that he will come tomorrow for sure. Taehyung took his leave after thanking Kihyun and when he was outside he was met with officer Min Yoongi, who seemed to have just arrived judging by how he was in the middle of locking his car.

And no doubt it was awkward.

"Taehyung." Min Yoongi's voice was cold making shivers go down Taehyung's spine.

"Hello Officer Yoongi." Taehyung tried to smile. "H-how are you?"

Taehyung hit himself in his head for stuttering like that.

"Fine." Yoongi replied shortly.

Taehyung nodded giving another awkward smile and making a move to start walking but Yoongi's voice stopped him again.

"I'm sorry." The Officer said to Taehyung's utter astonishment.

"Why are you..."

"I left you here last week without thinking about how you'll go home."

"You shouldn't apologize, Yoongi-ssi. I understand.." Taehyung smiled genuinely this time. He noticed the officer's ears tinting a light shade of red but didn't say anything.

"I.. was worried.. about your bruises.." Yoongi said averting his gaze from Taehyung, hands shoved in his jacket pocket, ears hot red.

"Oh. Um. I'm fine. Totally healed now."

"Good."

"Yeah."

There was awkward silence surrounding them yet again. Both blushing lightly for completely different reasons. Taehyung out of embarrassment of course. But Yoongi? Well, he had his doubts.

"I have to go-"

"Should I pick you up? Tomorrow?" Yoongi interrupted Taehyung.

"Huh?" Taehyung was baffled.

"The NGO. You wanted to volunteer."

Is officer Yoongi hitting on me?

"Oh, uh, Kihyun hyung gave me the address. So uh I.. I'll be there. On my own."

Taehyung said hesitantly, not wanting to offend the officer in any way.

"Okay." Yoongi said and walked straight inside the café not even sparing Taehyung another look.

Taehyung stared at the door shocked. He scoffed at the officer and shook his head, inhaling and exhaling deeply to calm his nerves.

Office Min Yoongi scares the crap out of him.
