forty seven
Hey loves! No need for tissues (I guess) I'm giving y'all something peaceful because I feel so peaceful today! I can finally go back to my parents! This week had been so busy with all the tests and all, gosh it was terrifying in the hospital, honestly. Also, be ready for a double update on sunday, I have to make some changes in the next two chapters since I wrote this one literally an hour ago because of the news. Haha!
Enjoy :)
Jungkook was kneeling next to his sleeping beauty contemplating whether to kiss him awake or carry him out instead. He had spent the last hour preparing something special for his beloved and now that everything is set and ready for his boyfriend to see, he is feeling his feet go cold out of nervousness. Jungkook didn't do anything extravagant, just cooked ramen and set a picnic in Taehyung's backyard. He also managed to find the switch for the little lamps and switched them on to create a cozy romantic atmosphere. But all his efforts would go in vain if he didn't gather the courage to wake Taehyung up.
Jungkook let out a sigh before leaning in and kissing Taehyung's forehead, then his nose, then his pouty lips, watching him stir in his sleep.
"Wake up baby.." jungkook whispered softly.
Taehyung blinked a few times, coming back to the real world from his dreamland. He saw jungkook smiling down at him and returned the smile with his own sleepy one. He slowly sat up stifling a yawn and looked around.
"It's dinner time Tae." Jungkook stood up, helping his boyfriend up as well. "Do you feel any pain?"
"Not really." Taehyung blushed as he limped a little. Jungkook chuckled, leading his boyfriend to the backyard.
"What's the time? Was I asleep for too long?" Taehyung asked.
"It's almost seven thirty baby." Jungkook turned around before sliding the gallery door open.
Taehyung gasped when he saw the backyard. The small lamps he and his sister bought years ago were finally put to use and they looked so incredibly cute. He stepped out, bare foot, in the grass and walked to the picnic mat were a steaming pot of ramen was waiting for him. There was also a beats mini speaker kept near the picnic mat and Taehyung wonder if jungkook was planning on having a romantic date night with him.
"When did you plan all of this?" Taehyung asked turning towards his smiling bunny.
"An hour ago." Jungkook shrugged wrapping his arm around Taehyung's waist. "You liked it?"
Taehyung nods shyly, giggling like a girl. He hadn't imagined jungkook would surprise him like this. If he was honest then, he had not thought about jungkook being capable of being romantic to such an extent. He thought he was the cheesy sappy puppy but my oh my, his muscled bunny beat him to it. Taehyung sat on jungkook's lap as they ate their tasty ramen noodles and Taehyung would be lying if he said his stomach was not exploding with butterflies. Even though it wasn't a particularly starry night, Taehyung was enjoying even the clouds that were witnessing him falling in love with a guy who just wanted to experiment with his sexuality.
Is this what it feels like to be in love? Taehyung thought as his heart hammered against his chest.
Taehyung stared at his boyfriend who placed their used utensils away and was now caressing Taehyung's pudgy tummy. Jungkook looked different tonight. He looked clear and raw. The blotches of uncertainty were missing as he stared at jungkook now. And Taehyung loved this sight. He cupped jungkook's cheeks and brought him into a sweet kiss. Jungkook's arms secured around his waist. Nothing else matters in this world anymore to either of them.
"Dance with me.." jungkook said when they pulled away from the kiss.
Taehyung gave him a questioning look but that disappeared when jungkook pressed a button on his phone and a soft rhythm started to play from the speaker as jungkook stepped out into the grass. Taehyung gasped when he recognised the song and giggled when he looked at jungkook.
"I found a love.. for me.." Jungkook sang along with the melody and extended his hand for Taehyung to take.
"Darling just dive right in, and follow my lead.." Tae giggled again as he took jungkook's hand, blushing madly. Jungkook's arm snaked around Taehyung's waist while the other held one of his hands firmly.
"Well I found a boy, beautiful and sweet.. I never knew you were the someone, waiting for me..." They swayed as jungkook sang with his beautiful voice captivating Taehyung's senses.
"'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was, I will not give you up this time.... Darling just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own, and in your eyes you're holding mine.."
Jungkook gently pushed Taehyung away, twirling him around in a circle then brought him back to himself but this time, Taehyung's back was pressed to jungkook's front.
"Baby I'm.. dancing in the dark.. with you between my arms.. barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song.. when you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath but you heard it.. darling you look perfect tonight.."
Taehyung turned around in jungkook's arms keeping their foreheads touching. He had tears in his eyes as he felt his heart burst with happiness and contentment. He never thought he'd feel such emotions while being in a relationship ever again. They swayed along with the music as jungkook was now wiping Taehyung's tears and kissing him gently.
"Don't cry baby.." jungkook pecked his lips again.
"I'm just.. so happy Kookie.. t-thank you so much.." Taehyung sniffled and Jungkook was kissing him again.
Jungkook hugged Taehyung when they broke the kiss and bent down a little to carry his boyfriend. Taehyung's legs immediately wrapped around jungkook's torso, his cheek pressed on jungkook's shoulder as his eyes close and a sigh escapes his mouth. He had never felt so peaceful in his life before.
Jungkook kept humming and swaying along with the slow music, almost lulling Taehyung into a blissful slumber. Taehyung fisted jungkook's shirt. He pulled away from the hug when the song came to an end and kissed jungkook once again. He could easily say he was addicted to jungkook's lips now. Taehyung started kissing and sucking on jungkook's neck not getting enough of jungkook's taste, only craving for more. Holding Taehyung in his arms jungkook walked back inside the house. He chuckled when Taehyung pulled the collar of his shirt and sucked on his collarbone.
Jungkook entered Taehyung's bedroom and gently laid him down on his bed. Taehyung's arms were still circled around jungkook's neck bringing him closer. Jungkook brought Taehyung up to lay on his chest and they didn't need any words to be said further. Peacefully asleep in each others embrace.
"Hobi hyung, ramen would have sufficed, honestly!" Soobin said as he watched Hoseok place a bowl of japchae on the table.
After crying in the parking lot in Hoseok's arms Soobin called his father, Namjoon, and asked to be allowed to go to Hoseok's. Hoseok was surprised but he was kind of expecting the younger to want to stay away from his home, morelike his family, at the moment. That's why he was quick to agree when Namjoon asked him instead whether it would be okay with him. Hoseok, of course informed Seokjin, even though he knew Namjoon would inform him anyway.
"Oh shush! I always eat ramen. But today, thanks to you, I got motivated to cook japchae!" Hoseok smiled brightly making Soobin giggle.
"Now, did you finish your homework?" Hoseok asked, taking out a huge bottle of sprite from his fridge.
"Mostly."
"What do you mean 'mostly'? Are you finding a subject difficult?"
Soobin watched the fizz go down as Hoseok poured the drink in one of the glasses. The sizzle reminded him of the drink he had with Kangjoon at that bar the other night.
"Math. I don't like math." Soobin said taking his eyes off of the soft drink.
"Same." Hoseok groaned filling the second glass. "I've never liked math. It was more disastrous than geography."
"Did you ever drink alcohol hyung?" For some reason Soobin was tempted to ask this question to Hoseok. But when he saw Hoseok's reaction he cursed himself inwardly.
Hoseok momentarily paused what he was doing. He looked at Soobin with raised brows, obviously surprised by such a random question coming from a fifteen year old.
"I have tried but I didn't quite enjoy being drunk." Hoseok said, trying not to remember the three situation where he embarrassed himself because of his drunken state.
"Oh."
"Have you?"
Hoseok's question caught Soobin off guard as well.
"You heard my conversation with Appa. You should already know the answer." Soobin looked at his lap shamefully, as he answered. Hoseok sighed.
"Soobinie... I'm not judging you. I never will. Your life is yours to lead. I understand this is a confusing phase in your life right now. You want to do what your friends are doing.. but, it's okay to be different from them you know? It's absolutely okay to have different ideologies of your own."
Soobin sucked in a sharp breath, as he stared at Hoseok who smiled as he spoke.
"If your friends are forcing you to do something or behave in a certain way then- I'm sorry to say- they aren't your friends. They are toxic people you need to get rid of.."
"N-No one forced me." Soobin looked away.
"Then why do you feel guilty? Hmm? Soobinie, smoking and drinking are surely bad for health but, they don't make you a bad person. If no one's forcing you and you're doing this on your own then you shouldn't feel guilty about it. Everyone has the right to explore new things in their life. That's how you determine what's good for you and what's bad."
Soobin's eyes teared up and Hoseok took this as his cue to walk to the boy and envelope him with his warmth.
"I-it was just once hyung.." Soobin said with a muffled voice, his face smashed against Hoseok's chest.
"It's alright soobinie. Let's not ruin our dinner with these sad thoughts yeah? We even have a lot of cookies to finish tonight." Hoseok grinned, tickling soobin's stomach lightly and wiping his cheeks.
"Appa would have your head for feeding me so much sweet in one day." Soobin giggled.
"That's okay! As long as you're happy and fed, I can handle the death penalty!"
They laughed as they enjoyed their dinner. Hoseok even telling Soobin about his partner in crime, Min Yoongi, a human cat who prefers to be a stone. But oddly, he's the most agile of them all and quick witted. His poker face seems scary to most of their teammates but Hoseok finds it totally hilarious. He even told Soobin about that one incident where Yoongi almost murdered one of his teammates, Lay, because he kept talking to him in Chinese. They all wanted to prank Yoongi since he was a newbee and had asked Lay to speak in his native language to confuse the emotionless cat. The station, for the first time in months, saw a flustered Yoongi but when he got to know it was a prank, well, they all momentarily died.
Soobin stumbled out of his chair laughing at Hoseok's stories and wished to meet this friend of his. He happily munched on his cookies and even won an unspoken competition of who eats the most cookies. It was around 9:30pm when Hoseok's doorbell rang indicating his chief's arrival. Namjoon thanked Hoseok for taking care of Soobin and Soobin made him promise that they'll have a sleepover soon, before the two left Hoseok's humble home.
"Dad I-I have something to tell you.." Soobin said once they were seated in Namjoon's car.
"Go on love."
Soobin felt safe after hearing Hoseok's words and decided to tell his dad everything. But that is only until his brain started playing the recorder kangjoon set in.
"I-I.. I-I'm.."
Soobin-ah, it will only hurt you.
Everyone will hate you.
Look at what happened to Taehyung, jimin humiliated him in front of everyone.
Heck, even his parents got separated because of him.
His sister also left him.
You don't want that to happen to your parents right?
You want your brother to stay with you, don't you?
You can't tell anyone if you don't want to hurt your family Soobin-ah.
I'll protect you Soobin. I care about you.
"What's wrong bin-bin?" Namjoon's voice pulled Soobin out of his thoughts.
"Nothing." Soobin said, his skin a bit more pale now. "Nothing is wrong dad."
"Alright." Namjoon gave his son a skeptical glance. "What were you going to tell me?"
"I.. I will try not to smoke.. yeah, I.. I know that I did wrong but- but dad, I was just trying stuff.."
"I understand." Namjoon sighed, not at all satisfied by his son's answer. In fact he was now sure that Soobin is hiding something.
"Just.. just know that we are here for you okay? You can trust us." Namjoon said.
Soobin only smiled at his father, nodding. He had this sudden urge to text kangjoon and apologize. What for? That even he didn't know. He just knew that he was about to ruin, not only his life but also his older brother's. Even after getting a clear warning from kangjoon. And that's what he did when he reached home. He avoided Seokjin, for obvious reasons and locked his room door when he went inside after announcing to his parents that he was going to sleep. He climbed out of his window when he received a text from kangjoon saying that he's waiting for him at the bus stop.
Kangjoon shook his head side to side when Soobin apologized for his mistake, explaining only the situation with his father, leaving out his discussion with Hoseok. As expected he first got slapped by kangjoon, then when Kangjoon's anger got the best of him, he dragged Soobin to one of the clubs and beat him up by the back entrance where no one was. The loud music successfully covering up his cries. And as always, Soobin took in every punch and kick, thinking he deserved it.
