This he understood.
She knew that he loved him with all his heart,
Show with actions; this she hoped he would.
Planned his actions, based on her mood,
She thought he was nonchalant.
Her love language was merely food,
She was his confidant.
Their bonds were unbreakable,
Their love was pure.
He could never think of terminating it,
This she knew for sure.
On and off relationships, it came it waves,
Guided by feelings, their hearts were slaves.
Acknowledged the facts, such bonds once tethered,
Were no longer unified, the bonds were severed.
Thought he had moved on, but deep down he still cared,
As he could not truly discard the feelings he once shared.
From Strangers, to Friends and ultimately lovers,
Now this love story has so many covers.
No longer lovers, they are merely friends,
He sent her a message to thereby make mends.
Now the board has been cleared to a clean slate,
As they go on with their lives guided by faith.
