rachel was now at home in her room getting jacob ready for his bath she was devastated at wnat had happened she knew it was charles she knew he had planned it. sebastian was the boy she had ever been intimate with so he was jacob's father.

thoughts raced in her mimd as she ran the nath water for jacob's bath wondering what was going to happen now the thought that she could end up raising jacob completely by herself freaked her out she had no idea if sebastian believed her or not.

the bath was now ready she went through to her room and got jacob out of his bouncy chair and carried him into the bathroom taking. once in her ensuite she stripped off his romper suit and diaper and placed him gently onto the inflatable chair in the bath. he began to cry like he always didnin water rachel felt tears stinging her eyee but tried her best to stop them from falling not wanting jacob to see her upset like she was only an hour earlier.

as rachel knelt there by the side of the bath the bathroom door opened she assumed it was leroy she didnt look up at him as she knew his sympathetic look would set her tears off.

" is it alright if i help you bathe him" rachel was surprised by the voice it wasnt leroy or even hiram it was maggie.

" if you want " rachel asked not looking at her

" seb said he doesnt like water he wasnt wrong" maggie said a cbuckle to her voice clearly trying to ease the tension.

" no he doesnt" rachel said

" i meant what i said rachel i believe you i know jacob is my grandson i knew he wss before he was born and certainly whenni saw his eyes" maggie said

" i just... i cant believe" rachel started to say

" i know what charles has done is unforgivable and i am truly sorry that you have been put in this position." maggie said

" its not your fault" rachel said

" nor yours" maggie said as the bathroom door creaked open and sebastian poked his head around the door.

" ooh my knees are not what they were im going to have to get up and stretch my legs" maggie said getting up and opening the door and walking out leaving them alone.

"niether spokevor the remainder of jacob's bath it wasnt until rachel had gotton him out and wrapped up in a towel and went to lewve the bathroom that sebastian stopped her.

" can i hold him" he asked

" you don't have to ask" rachel said placing him in his arms she turned to empty the bath seeing that sebastian was clearly emotional she wanted to give him some privacy as he tuck jacob into her room.

rachel sorted the bath out and placed jacobs worn romper suit into he hamoer ready to be washed tomorrow.

as she walked into her room several minutes later she saw sebastian sat on her bed holding jacob who was looking up at sebastian smiling. sebastian was smiling too but crying at the same time as he looked at jacob.

rachel stood awkwardly in the doorway of her ensuite not wanting to interupt what was a special moment between father and son sebastian didnt know she was there he was to engrossed in the moment.

" dont know why i even doubted it for a second you are my son look at you my mom was right your eyes tell me all i need to know and that smile i swear i saw a faint hint of a smirk." sebastian said to him before kissing him.

" where is that smile" sebastian said the baby voice was back as he gently tickled jacob's tummy making him smile again.

" now daddy has learnt from last time to get a diaper on you so thats what we are going to do yes it is" sebastian said again in the baby voice it was only as he stood up to place jacobon the changing table that he saw rachel stood there.

" im just putting a diaper on him " sebastian said

" ok do you want to pick out his pjs" rachel asked

" yeah ok" sebastian said rachel left him to it and went downstairs wanting him to have is gime with jacob.

" you ok sweetie " hiram asked he had been home when she and leroy had arrived home in a state after the test results.

maggie was sat having a cup of tea leroy was showing her something in a magazine hiram was pacing the room.

" yeah" rachel said maggie smiled at her

" how about a nice cup of tea" hiram asked rachel was surprised at him been so nice he hadnt exactly been awful just strict and sometimes not that understanding.

" please" rachel said she sat down on the other couch opposite leroy and maggie sebastian carried jacob down a few minutes later.

" well" maggie said to him

" you were right" sebastian said sitting down next to rachel jacob saw her and give her a smile then sneezed making them all coo over him.

" here you are " hiram said handing her a cup of tea

" would you like one" hiram asked sebastian who looked momentarily speechless.

" no thank you " sebastian said after about thirty seconds

" seb doesnt do tea only coffee" maggie said

" would you like a coffee then" hiram asked

" i will make it" sebastian said

" no i will" hiram said

once he returned with sebastian's coffee he to sat down they were all quiet for a few minutes.

" you said you were going to go to a hotel" leroy asked maggie

" yes until some more permanent can be arranged " maggie said

" you can stay here" leroy said

" thank you but we dont want to intrude" maggie said

" one night wont hurt" hiram said rachel felt emotional at hiram

" only if your sure" maggie said

" ofcourse we are sure you can have the guest room and sebastian can sleep on the couch it pulls out to make a bed" leroy said

" actually i was thinking maybe maggie could sleep on the camp bed in rachel's room sebastian can sleep in the guestroom. " hiram said rachel knew why he said that.

" we cant have maggie sleeping on a camp bed" leroy said

" you can have my bed i will sleep on the camp bed" rachel said

" oh please sleeping next to charles for nineteen years a camp bed is a welcome change" maggie said

" only if your sure" leroy said he looked mortified at the thought someone as elegant and wealthy as maggie should sleep on anything that wasnt a proper bed.

" im positive" maggie said

" i will go sort it out for you wpuld you like a hot water bottle" leroy asked

" no i will be fine" maggie said

the next morning

rachel woke up to an empty room no jacob no maggie she looked at her clock it was half past eleven she had slept late and it was as school day.

she made her way downstairs and found maggie and sebastian both sat on the couch sebastian giving  jacob a bottle of her expressed milk.

" good morning" leroy said

" morning" rachel said

" dont worry we rang mckinley told them something had come up regarding jacob and that you wouldn't be in today" hiram said

" thank you" rachel said

" can i have a word" sebastian asked rachel nodded maggie tuck jacob from him to burp him rachel follwed sebastian through to the kitchen.

" i never got round to telling you last night that im sorry for running out i freaked out i love jacpb and the thought of him not been... i couldnt bare it" sebastian said fighting back tears

" you dont have to apologise i freaked out too" rachel said sebastian nodded.

" you bastard " maggie yelled rachel and sebastian both ran through to the living room to see what had happened

" mom" sebastian asked

" that bastard formally known as your father has stopped payment on your tuition fees at dalton the secretary at dalton just rung me i had phoned them thos morning saying you wouldnt be here today i thought it was to see if you was alright. she told me your payment had been cancelled and that i have until Friday to pay for the rest of the school year or your out" maggie said
