its friday night maggie and sebastian moved back home this morning thanks to her lawyers demanding charles let her have the house atleast until their divorce settlement is sorted out. maggie has had the locks changed so that charles cant just let himself in.

jacob is spending the night with them as today is kurt's birthday and he has asked rachel to go out for a meal with him and blaine. tomorrow he is having a bbq at his house but rachel has no intention of going as finn will be there.

sebastian tuck jacob at five so she could get ready she wwsnt going to drss up to much as she had only given birth eight weeks agoand was still conscious of her post baby body. she settled on a glittery cream jumper and jeans and black heeled boots as it was quite cold.

rachel arrived at breadstix where she was meeting them she felt uncomfortable seeing dave karosky stood outside she kept her head down as she walked past him to the entrance.

" hey got yourself knocked up again yet" he said as she walkee past him.

as she entered the place she saw blaine waving to get her attention she smiled and walked over to them.

" hey diva" kurt said

" happy birthday " rachel said hugging hi. and handign him a small present bag

" hey maria" blaine said

" hey tony" rachel said as she sat down at the table

" oh you sneaky thing" kurt said having opened her present it was  a vintage  scarf that he had wanted from an online auction he had been furious to be out bid little had he known he was going to be getting it anyway.

" well i didnt know what else to get you" rachel said as kurt opened his card

" awe my first card from jacob" kurt said

they ordered they food and sat talking about other presents kurt had gotton for his birthday.

" so how has it been living with meerkat this week" kurt asked

" alright " rachel asked not wanting to let on about what happened between sebastian  and finn or what sebastian had said as she knew kurt would bombard her with questions.

" bet he has got on your nerves a few times though" kurt said rachel saw blaine frown at him

" no actually it has been easier for me has he has shared the duties of looking after jacob" rachel said

" yeah i admit i cant fault him with jacob" kurt said

" so he has jacob tonight " blaine said

" yeah" rachel said

" ooh rach i have to tell you this finn and quinn are over" kurt said

" oh" rachel said

" yeah so wear that yellow summer dress he likes tomorrow for the bbq and who knows finchel might be back" kurt said happily.

" kurt i cant come tomorrow i thought i told you that" rachel said

" yeah you did but i thouht was because of finn" kurt said

" kurt im sorry but i cant come tomorrow" rachel said getting stressed

" but finchel" kurt said

" kurt rach has responsibilities now if sue cant come she cant come" blaine said

" i know that i just hate the fact they you guys are not together if you guys got married we would be step in laws" kurt said

" kurt shut up" blaine said

" fine forgive me for shipping them" kurt said

" can we change the subject " rachel asked

" ofcourse" blaine said as their food arrived

" so diva im going to new york alone im gutted but i understand atleast you will be keeping blaine company " kurt said she had told them about repeating senior year she had told mr shue and figgins too.

" yeah but look at this way kurt now she is more likely to get into nyada if sebastian is in new york they will share looking after jacob and you do realise we will help out as much as we can maria" blaine said

" thank you" rachel said looking at blaine

the meal was nice the talked about  number of things mercedes and sam secretly dating brittany thinking she was the next one to have a baby as a stork had built a nest outside her house. the fact that miss pillsbury had a boyfriend and it wasnt mr  shue it was a guy called carl who was a dentist.

after the meal rachel was feeling tired with jacob having a cold he wasnt sleeping very well and while she still hated been away from him she knew he was in safe hands with sebastian.  so she planned on going home and having an unbroken nights sleep.

the next morning

rachel had woken up feeling refreshed she really had slept well but she was ready to see jacob while been a mom was hard work she really did love it. she was on her way to sebastian's to pick him up she decided to call to the lima bean to get them both a coffee as he often did for her.

once she had their coffees she set off and has it was saturday and only twenty past eight in the morning the roads were pretty clear so the usual forty minute drive to his house only tuck her twenty five.

she could hear jacob crying as she knocked on her door a moment later sebastian opened it holding jacob.

" morning" he said

" morning and where is my little man" rachel said taking jacob from him he settled in her arms sebastian tuck the coffee tray from her.

" he was crying  because i just gave him his medicine" sebastian said

" yeah he doesnt care for it does he" rachel said

" thanks for the coffee" sebastian asked

" thank you for a good nights sleep i had forgotton what it actually felt like" rachel said

" well now we got the house back i can have him more often" sebastian said

" are you gonna spend time with daddy" rachel said and felt her heart melt as jacob looked at sebastian as she said daddy.

" he knows who i am" sebastian said looking like he was going to cry happy tears.

" he does" rachel said as a smell came from the kitchen.

" im in he middle of making breakfast if you want some" sebastian asked

rachel was about to say no when her tummy rumbled loudly

" i will take that as a yes have a seat i wont be long" sebastian said walking into the kitchen rachel sat down holding jacob who was now much happier and playing with her hair.

" what you doing" rachel said in a funny voice while tickling his tummy making him smile. he really was a happy baby apart from been ill.

a few minutes sebastian returned with two plates of scrambled eggs on toast with beans he placed them downnon the coffee table and tuck jacpb from her placing him on his play mat.

" is your mom alright" rachel asked picking up her plate

" yeah she has gone to have her hair done its her best friends wedding anniversary tonight dad will be there so she is determined to look as good as possiblr to shoe him she doesnt need him" sebastian said

" have you had any trouble from him" rachel asked

" he hasnt come by the house nor phoned so no and he has paid for the rest of the yeat at dalton so thats a weight off my mom's mind" sebastian said

" yeah it must be and it must be nice for you knowing your going to be with your friends" rachel said

" yeah i cant see me been so welcome at mckinley " sebastian laughed

" no probably not" rachel said.

" so what you up to today" sebastian asked

" i have a every exciting day planned" rachel said

" ooh really" sebastian asked

" yep im going to do laundry then ironing" rachel said as she ate

" that does sound exciting " sebastian said

" yeah im really looking forward to it" rachel giggled

" cant it wait while tomorrow " sebastian asked

" why" rachel asked

" well i was thinking i dont having anything planned so i thought we could take jacob out somewhere" sebastian asked

" like where " rachel asked having finished her breakfast

" sea world" sebastian said excitedly

" sea world" rachel asked

" yeah i know he is only eight weeks old but just imagine how cute he his going to look trying to follow the fish with his eyes" sebastian said animatedly.

" i guess that would be adorable" rachel said conscious of the fact that she would be spending the day with sebastian.

" we could get him a sea world romper suit from the gift shop i had one when I was a baby" sebastian said

" ok then" rachel said

" yes" sebastian 6fidt pumping the air before getting up and picking jacob up.

" we are going to see some fish and sharks and penguins would you like that" sebastian said in the baby voice he used with jacob.
