rachel was stood in the kitchen making blaine some soup sebastian was still in her room once the soup was ready she carried a bowl through to blaine.

" thank you" he said sitting up.

" hope its alright im not as good a cook as you" rachel said

" its delicious... did i hear sebastian crying" blaine said

" oh um " rachel said sebastian had told her in confidence.

" im guessing he has told you whats going on its ok you ront have to tell me i just want to know he is ok" blaine said.

" he has some things to work through" rachel said blaine nodded.

" its nice that he trusts you enough to tell you" blaine said

" yeah" rachel said she left blaine to eat his soup and went into the kitchen to pour herself a bowl as sebastian came walking into the kitchen.

" you hungry " rachel asked

" no" sebastian said

" well its here if you want any later" rachel said he nodded.

" thank you again for earlier and for letting me stay " sebastian said

" dont worry about it while i cant possibly understand what your going through i do know that gaving friends supporting you when you need them helps" rachel said

" so we are friends " sebastian said smiling it was the first real unpained smike she had seen.

"well you haven't blackmailed me in what three years" rachel said he laughed.

" yeah im sorry i did that " sebastian said

" it feels like a lifetime ago now " rachel said sitting down at the dining table to eat her soup sebastian surprised her by pulling the chair opposite her and sitting down.

" i will cook dinner tonight " sebastian said

" you dont need to" rachel said

" i want to plus it will take my mind off things" sebastian said

" your still in touch with thad" rachel said

" yeah i knew my dad would go crazy when he found me gone so thad got me a cell phone so he could keep me updated and i dumped my old cell so my dad couldnt trace it" sebastian said

" your dads a powerful man then " rachel said

" yeah he is and a bully" sebastian said

" well your free of him now" rachel said

" hopefully " sebastian said

" your here and you said yourself he wouldnt look for you here" rachel said

" yeah he wont think to check out bushwick but melissa's dad might" sebastian said

" oh is he..." rachel started to say.

" a bully just like me dad yep... i would feel bad for leaving her to deal with them if she wasnt such a bitch" sebastian said

" she isnt nice " rachel asked trying to imagine what melissa looked like.

" she makes santana seem almost nun like" sebastian said

" wow she sounds..." rachel started to say.

" lovely " sebastian said and they both laughed.

" do you think im a coward for running away" sebastian asked

" no i think you would be a coward if you had stayed what your dad was trying to make you do is wrong" rachel asked.

" rachel berry broadway star and voice of reason" sebastian said

" yeah not bad for a publicly educated girl" rachel said laughing and sebastian laughed too both recalling his comments about public education.

that evening

kurt was back from work and was working on his tablet at the dining table blaine was still in bed rachel and sebastian were sat on the couch watching tv.

" think i will go have a shower " sebastian said standing up he had been looking at his watch constantly.

" have you found out what he has done yet" kurt asked as soon as sebastian had left the room.

"kurt did it ever occur to you that he might actually be the victim " rachel asked kurt looked at her.

" sebastian smythe a victim yeah right rach" kurt said

" look kurt i know you dont like him but just do me a favour and leave him alone ok" rachel said worried kurt would start questioning sebastian.

" look rach i know your trying to be nice anf be friendly but i dont trust him..." kurt said

" do you trust me " rachel asked

" ofcourse " kurt said

" then trust my judgement on this he is staying for aslong has he needs too and he hasnt done anything wrong"  rachel said

" fine but if i see him with a slushie he will be out on his ass" kurt said rachel rolled her eyes.

the next morning

rachel woke to the smell of breakfast and assumed blaine was feeling better only as she walked into the kitchen she saw sebastian stood making breakfast.

" morning" rachel said suddenly aware that she looked like crap with just waking up then she wondered why it bothered her.

" morning" he said handing her a mug of coffee.

" thank you" rachel said taking a big drink of it.

" breakfast wont be long" sebastian said turning back to tend to the eggs.

" smells great" rachel said

" i heard you and kurt talking last night" sebastian said

" oh" rachel said feeling awkward.

" thank you for sticking up for me im actually thinking of telling kurt and blaine" sebastian said

" oh" rachel said

" yeah the wedding was supposed to yesterday i think having that day hanging over me made things so much worse now its today and im feeling free. plus i think i owe them an explanation plus by telling you i realise i hVe put you in an awkward position so for your sake i will tell them" sebastian said

" only if your sure" rachel said

" i am" sebastian said placing her breakfast infront if her.

" this looks yummy" rachel said picking up her knife and fork.

" you deserve it your my friend " sebastian said smiling at her before walking to the bathroom.

rachel sat there feeling confused he had called her his friend and all she could think was she had just been friend zoned and that bothered her.
