Y/n's pov

The fire spirits said "we want to burn bright, and then burn out. We need more fuel for our fire, onlynthe finest paintings will do". So in order for them to die, I need to grab paintings for their fire? Alright. I look around, and find a path leading from the fire, to each and ever painting I need. I grab the paintings one by one and put them in the fire. I only needed one more painting. I looked around to find the painting frozen in a block of ice. I went up to one of the minions, and they said "maybe you can use one of the bombs to explode the ice away". I grabbed one of the cherry bombs and went to a dweller. The dweller got sucked up into the cherry, turning it red. I ran over to the ice and threw the bomb at it, and it exploded. The ice broke, and the painting was out of the ice. There was also a piece of cloth behind it, which I grabbed before getting the painting. When I threw the final painting into the fire, the fire grew really high, and the fire spirits disappeared. The text disappeared from my hand. The remaining text was to deliver mail, and find the missing minions. I wanted to deliver mail, but was at a loss as to how with no mail to deliver. I went back to snatchers house to find him sitting on a chair reading a book. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the title read "how to kill kids 2". Nice, very reassuring. I tap snatchers arm, and lifted my hand to him, pointing at the mail. The snatcher said "you're already half way done? That's a new record. The mail won't be ready till tomorrow, and my missing minions aren't going anywhere, probably, so you can go rest up. Gotta keep that energy for tomorrow". I nodded and gave a thumbs up, and turned to leave when snatcher said "oh yeah, the hat child told me to tell you before you leave that she had to go back home for something, but will be back soon" I gave a thumbs up to let him know so heard him, and switched my hoodie to my flight hoodie. I turned to face snatcher, gave a small salute before activating my hoodie. White wings sprouted from my back and I flew all the way back to my ship. Out of all the hoodies I can switch between, I like my flight hoodie the most. I have a flight hoodie, a water hoodie, an invisibility hoodie, and my regular hoodie. I also have quite a few badges, but they're all similar to hat kids badges, so it's not worth going over. Anyway, I ate some food and went to bed. I had a nightmare again, but since I couldn't feel fear, I just stared at the gleaming red eyes until I woke up. When I woke up, I felt surprisingly well rested, but wasn't happy about it, because I still didn't have a soul, so I can't feel feelings. I went back down to subcon forest to find snatcher with a satchel full letters and boxes beside him. I went up to him, and he turned around. He seemed a bit shocked to see me for some reason, and said "why hello there kiddo, you're just on time. I need you to take this mail and deliver it to my minions. I steal mail from the mafia and give it to my minions, so it seems like someone actually cares about them. The minions that are receiving mail will have an icon above their heads to make things a bit easier for you. Also, take this badge. It a rental, so I'll need it back when you're done". Snatcher handed me the satchel and the badge. Since my flight hoodie is just a highly modified sprint hoodie, the badge still works on it. A scooter appears beneath me, and the bag full of mail is in the back of the scooter. I take off toward subcon village, and end up delivering a vast majority of the mail I had to deliver. I also got some more cloth pieces for a dweller hoodie. Anyway, I got back to the task at hand, and had to venture deep into subcon forest to try and find the other three minions who needed their mail. Eventually, I ended up finding them and delivering their mail, but now I was lost. I was riding around aimlessly through the woods, hoping to find a way out, when a bunch of curvy purple branches popped up around me, and the surroundings turned to a familiar dark purple color. Snatcher appeared and said "AHAHAHAHAHAHA FOoo- oh wait, it's you. Hey kid, you're quite a ways away from the forest. Anyway, since you fell into one of my traps, might as well give you another contract to do". Another contract appeared in front of me. I looked at it, and it read "find and put out the extinguishable flames in the forest". I signed it and snatcher patted my head and said "Good girl, now, get back to work". Despite being soulless, I somehow managed to feel confused as to why snatcher just pat my head. I shrugged it off and walked forward, soon finding myself back at snatchers house. I look down at my hand, it read "find the lost minions and bring them back to the village". I switched to my normal hoodie and pull my hood up. I saw the area where the nearest lost minion was and put my hood back down before starting to head that way.

Snatchers pov

I'll admit, hat kids friend hood kid is quite interesting. Her soul keeps projecting the emotions she'd feel in present time if she had it though, which is weird. No other soul has done that before. Plus, those mafia morons keep coming here, so I don't ever get the desire to eat hood kids soul. However, last night, her soul seemed to quiver in fear, like it was trapped and begging to be let out. I know I have a dark past, but I wonder if this girl is similar. Darn it, that hat kid made me go soft. That hood kid is lucky that hat kid likes her so much. However, since I'm contractually obligated to be hat kids bff, I have to watch over this kid, and make sure she doesn't get herself killed. I hate to admit it, but I've actually started to grow attached to the hooded child. I've watched her soul when she was doing my tasks for me, and not one time did it feel resentment or anger towards me. If anything, it was happy to help. She was telling the truth when I first met her. All I could've done was ask and she would've done it. She hasn't spoken once since I took her soul though. Not to the dwellers, not to my minions, and not to me. Just nods and an empty stare. That's it, I'm gonna giver her soul back. I'm just going to put a spell on it first so she doesn't leave me the second she gets it back. It's called a contract spell. This spell makes it so that the soul is still under my grasp, but it's still in the body of the person the soul belongs to. Just as I finish the spell, I spot hood kid coming towards my house, carrying a stack of five minions on each hand. She then sets them down and they all get off of each other. She looks at her hand and nods, as she's about to leave, I say "Wait!" Hood kid turns to me and looks me dead in the eyes. I said "You've been doing a pretty good job, so I want to reward you. Not many people make it this far. Since you said that all I had to do was ask, here". I send her soul back into her body. Everything seemed to come back to her. She didn't look empty, she looked relieved and happy. What took me by surprise was the fact that she hugged me. I felt her arms wrap around my tail. I didn't really know how to respond, so I just stood there uncomfortably.
