Bonus Chapter 2

Anusha's POV

“Suru, not yellow, blue glitter baby. The outline is blue, right?”
I said to my now 7 years old daughter. She nodded.

“Here”
Ahansh, my son handed her the glitter tube

Tying my loose bun once again with a pencil, I eyed the work we had been doing since morning, it was nearly 6 in the evening and their father would be home soon.

“Mum, see the ribbon curls I’ve made”
Ahansh asked

Looking at it my eyes widened and a smile broke its way on my face,
“Awe my baby, these are really beautiful.”
I cooed and leaving everything walked upto him.

I stood in front of the banner my kids had made, it was beautiful and cute in its own way, the colourful alphabets highlighting the event and a single sober blue colour emphasizing the reason for the celebration.

Ahansh being the only man in the house presently, took the initiative and insisted to hang the banner on the wall by himself—with the little height he could manage.

The curls he had made were dangling from the corner end of the banner in different colours.

“You did a nice job.”
I complemented and pulled him down to my level from where he was standing on a stool and kissed his cheek.

He grinned wiping my gloss off his cheek.

He always does that.

I laughed wiping it off along with him using my thumbs.

“Suru, look?”
he asked excitedly.

My cheeky boy!

“I know”
she said without even looking at it, she was so engrossed in making an A3 size greeting card for her father.

Ahansh pouted. I blinked looking at him.

“Come lets help your sister.”
He nodded with a small smile

“I don’t want it.”
She whined

We sat in front of Sridha, looking at her work,

“Are you sure, its almost 5:45, Dad will be home soon?”
I asked knowing my answer

“Yes.”
She said trying to peek inside the living room as we were settled in the balcony doing all the preparations.

Her eyes widened when she noticed what I said is true, without replying she scrunched her nose cutely,

“Outline the house black and no smudging my master piece.”
She warned her brother

He denied folding his hands in front of him.

I smiled looking at their cute exchange.

“Hurry up!”
she whined

“Say the magical words.”
He said grumpily looking anywhere but her

She made a click sound but gave in eventually,
“I need your help my dear brother. Please.”

He narrowed his eyes at her

“For Dad?”
she said cheekily

“For Dad!”
he replied huffing and took the marker from her

I couldn’t but grin and concentrated back on wrapping my gift.

Colours.

Colours are what I have been seeing since life took this beautiful turn, I’ve known there was a rainbow with seven colours but never knew I will have a rainbow of my own. My colour palate keeps on filling.

I was a shade which never blended but after him, my colour turned flexible.  He was a shade much brighter, knew how to spread, how to mix with my distinct combinations.

And we have a rainbow, nothing else and nothing less is required.

“Madam?”
the maid entered with two glasses of milk and a glass of cranberry juice for me.

Looking at her Ahansh rushed and took the tray from her. She, now on high alert

“Ahansh, baba.”
She called but my boy never listen

“Careful!”
I called and he walked upto me slowly where I was settled on the outdoor lounge chair in front of the table, doing my work.

His steps slow and conscious, the maid on his tail.

He kept the tray on the table and handed me my glass-
“Thank you!”
I said smiling and watched him taking his and his sister’s glass together previously where they were working.

I eyed the maid to take the snack from the tray to them too.

Ahansh after handing the glass to his sister, kept his on the floor where they were settled and turned to see the maid carrying the snacks,

“I was coming to get it.”
He whined

She smiled.

“Madam can I go home now?”

I nodded

“Aunty, you have the box of muffins we brought for Seema, right?” Sridha asked to her.

Ahansh and Sridha this morning, when we were out shopping for stationary and grocery brought muffins for themselves and for maid’s daughter as well.
Her daughter Seema, is a sweet girl she comes to our home sometimes to play with both of them.

“Ji baby ji”
she nodded and looked at me for permission to leave.

Smiling I blinked.

“Bye” the kids called

.

.

“Where are the kids?”
Siddharth hugged me from behind while I was arranging dishes on the table.

I turned wrapping my hands around his neck, “Bedroom. Doing homework.”

He grinned,
“Perfect” and leaned to kiss me

Shaking my head I met him halfway.

When I realized he is no where leaving me any soon, I took the initiative to pull back,
“Dinner”

He made a thin line of lips and inhaled dramatically, I laughed pecking his lips erasing the thin line and a grin made its way.

“Move now.”
I said

“I’ll help you.”
He offered

“Dinner time!”
I called with all my lungs from kitchen

Soon we heard giggling and thudding of small feet descending down the stairs,

“I will sit with Mum”
Ahansh said

“You always do”
Sridha marked

“That’s why I said to remind you.”

She pulled her tongue out.

Both Siddharth and I laughed.

.
.

“Mum?”
Ahansh called me in a whisper

I raised my eyebrows at him,

“Where is the chocolate cake?”
he asked whispering

“In the fridge. Why?”

“Can I see?”

“No tasting!” I warned him.

Like father both kids got sweet tooth too.

He nodded leaving his half eaten plate,
“I need icy chilled water”
he announced and walked inside the kitchen

Siddharth just looked at him and ignored

“Oh, I need chilled water too”
Sridha too announced and walked right behind her brother

Siddharth looked at me,
“You are letting them drink cold water?”

I laughed awkwardly rubbing my forehead, “There is no cold water inside, all fresh.”
I reasoned

He nodded shaking his head.

“Ah… what fun!”
Sridha came back wiping her virtual mustache

“Seriously!”
Ahansh accompanied

I laughed once again looking at their father awkwardly.

Dear lord!

.

.

“Siddharth, wake up”
I whispered in his ear

He mumbled something in sleep

“Wakey wakey”
I said kissing his cheek and he smiled nodding

Clicking my tongue I pinched his nose tight, “Wake up!”
I whisper yelled

“Hmm… what?”
he said gruffly

“Happy Birthday!”
I wished in a whisper pecking his lips

He nodded smiling a thousand watt hugged me to his chest tightly,
“Thank you so much.”

I pecked him once again.

He made me lie flat on top of him, hugging me tightly.

“I love you”

“I love you. And where is my gift?”

I sat up on top him, straddling his lying figure, “What do you want?”

“I have a lot in mind right now”
he said eyeing my night clothing.

“Like what?”
I asked adjusting myself on top him to the right place

“If you continue like that, the consequence will be in my favour.”

“Are you sure?”
I asked repeating my actions

He gripped my hips, guiding them,
“I know how to get things in my favour.”

“Ah-ha”
I smirked and leaned down to kiss him.

I kissed the hollow of his neck leisurely, rubbing my hands up and down his bare torso, earning groans as my rewards.

Time was all I needed.

His grip on my hip tightened and the other hand held my nape to pull my face close to his mouth.

We halted when we heard rattling from downstairs.

Finally!

“What was that?”

I mirrored his expressions,
“No idea.”

“Where are the kids?”

“In their room.” totally hiding the fact I just wake them up with a call—not like his kids were sleeping anyways.

“Let’s check”
I said getting off him and wearing a hand knitted shrug kept beside my bed

We exited our bedroom with Siddharth walking ahead of me, I couldn’t help it but grinned like a miniac.

He turned.

I coughed,
“let’s go. Hurry.”

He nodded walking now faster.

We looked inside the kids room, lights were off. When Siddharth switched the lights on and found no one, he panicked.

“Where are they? Shit!”

“The whole house is dark?”

“Where could they go?”
he started sprinting everywhere looking for kids.
I followed right behind.

My poor kids had to stay all alone in the dark.

The moment Siddharth reached the balcony door frame, I switched the lights on and Sridha burst the party popper singing Birthday Song to her father.

“Happy Birthday!”
Both of them shouted and lunged to hug their Dear Dad.

The smile which broke out him had me dying then and there. My family.

“You devils scared me!”
he scolded but the grip he had around them said otherwise, the glistening of his eyes and the shine of his face made me smile like anything.

We cut the cake and after spending almost another half hour decided to call it a night.
Later tucking the kids to their beds we made our way to our room.

“I really like the banner, who hanged it anyway… it was a bit low.” He asked laughing knowing the answer quite a bit I assume.

“Your son!”
I said grinning

“And then the greeting card… amazing drawing. It was Sridha, isn’t it?”

I said crossing my arms and biting my lip,
“Yes!”

He entered the room,
“It was so amazing. My kids are so cute.”

I scrunched my nose he turned to look at me sensing my halt.
“What happened?”

“I forgot something… in the kitchen. Be right back.”

Smiling he nodded

“Don’t keep me waiting!”
he called behind in a teasing tone

The moment I reached the bedroom door once again, I had every intention to leave him astonished. I will surprise you—I had promised.

I shrugged the cloth off my shoulders outside the room and walked inside.

When I was planning to drop the idea our eyes met and every nerve got settled, he eyed the white frosting large cupcake in my hand and then the smile on my face.

The grinned I earned was worth dying for.

“I wasn’t done yet.”
I smirked

He smirked too,
“I can see”

He was resting against the head board, hugging a pillow.

He kept the pillow aside when he saw me almost a feet away, his eyes following my moments.

I sat in front of him with the cupcake in between, “I have one more thing!”

He raised his perfectly sharp eyebrow

“Close your eyes and don’t open them until asked for.” I commanded

He nodded closing his eyes but the creepy smile never leaving his face for once and here I was building all the courage in me.

I inhaled and moved closer to his ear,
“Happy Birthday”
I whispered once again purposely blowing warm air.

His hand moved to hold me when I kissed his cheek lingeringly

“The cake”
I moved back, picking it up I took it to his lips.

“Bite”
he did and I smudged the cream on his lips

I giggled,
“Oops!”

Keeping the cake in one hand, with the support of other I licked some of the cream off near the corner of his lips but never lips.

He gripped my sides and was about to open his eyes smirking when I kept my free hand on them—nearly misbalancing myself, only if it wasn’t for his grip on me.

“Not until asked!” I warned purposely near his ear again, sounding seductive even to my own ears.

When I was moving back a little I smudged the cream near the hollow of his throat, he groaned “Such a tease!”

“Is that so?”
and I moved forward to lick cream off his bobbing throat

I felt his pulse ragging.

His hands eventually moving down to grip my lower cheeks, squeezing them. I laughed when it tickled.

“You don’t want the kids to wake up, do you?”

“Thick walls” I whispered and moved my one hand inside his shirt pulling it off his head.

Trailing kisses down to his stomach. I was almost near the V-line of his body when

“This is how it’s done”
he said suddenly pinning me down him

“Cheating! I told you not to open your....”

I gasped suddenly giggling louder when the cold cream came in contact with the cavity of my neck down to my chest

“Sid…” I nearly moaned my life out

“Continue” he asked and started licking

“You- you cheated. I told… you something. I-I.”

He picked the spaghetti top above, revealing my stomach and kept the remaining of the cake or cream whatsoever was left  and started        eating- biting-licking off me.

“Ohmyg…” I gasped

When he reached the hem of my shorts tugging it down leaving kisses.

“Did I cheat?” he asked

I nodded, still in daze how I managed.

“Are you complaining Mrs. Khanna?”

I shook my head, no.

Oh! I would never complain Mr. Khanna.
