Too Hot
Connie sighed as she and Lion warped in the driveway. It had been a difficult time taking Lion to the park by herself but she insisted Steven take a break and have the house to himself for awhile.
She realized she was scowling at Lion, thinking of that cute German Shepard he roared at. The poor thing just wanted to play. Lion licked her face as an apology, while looking as apologetic as a rock. She laughed and pushed him away playfully. Lion nosed her again until she gave him a kiss on his snout. He purred in satisfaction before warping away to wherever he went when he disappeared.
Opening the door, the smell of cake created a thick sweetness that surrounded her and coaxed her into the kitchen.
She heard him before she saw him. His voice was jovial and perky as he sang... God what was that song? She knew she couldn't stand it, but what was it called?
Steven poked his head around the corner, startling her and pecked her lips before returning to his cooking and singing.
He caught her gaze over his shoulder as he washed the dish and sang.
She gave him a slow, sarcastic blink.
"I'M TOO HOT...."
Oh.
Oh god.
It was that song.
He smiled. Steven pointed at her and paused.
She closed her eyes in a wince. No way. No way no how....
He didn't move an inch.
She looked at him dubiously.
He kept pointing, his grin never faltering for a second.
She sighed. He wasn't going to give up.
"Hot damn." Connie finished deadpan.
"CALL THE POLICE AND A FIREMAN!!!" He kissed in her direction and shimmied and nodded his head as he kept on.
Connie shook her head in awe and walked into the bathroom. "I'm going to marry an idiot." She murmured with a smile.
