Connie sobbed frantically, fighting the urge to run from the bathroom. Every breath was a dagger to her already burning chest. Just in time, she leaned over the toilet and emptied her stomach, groaning at how sick she felt.

Steven had gone on a road trip to visit Greg's grave, and Connie picked up that there was some private conversations that needed to be had, so she stayed behind.

That was three days ago.

As soon as he had left, no more than an hour, she had felt nauseous and exhausted as if she had the flu. For the next day, she dealt with fevers, runny noses, vomiting and severe exhaustion.

Eventually, she realized, she must have caught a stronger strain of the stomach flu.

She was so tired. So exhausted. She just wanted her Steven. She wanted her Steven to come home.

Another sob erupted from her, followed by more contents from her stomach.

Deep breaths...

Deep breaths.... quit working yourself up. You'll just make it worse.

Connie wrung her hands nervously, her ears alert for anything signaling Steven's return.

She held her stomach and bent over, wishing she could just disappear for a moment. She laid down on the chilled tile floor and closed her eyes.

Steven grabbed Connie's hand and tugged her toward the store near the sea. He was wearing his pink tank top with the little star pocket. A huge grin spread across his face.

He pushed his way through the small palm leaves covering a hidden cove.

Connie sneezed as the leaves brushed against her nose, but then she gasped at the clearing before her eyes.

Deep, blue water lie in the middle of a mini cove. Pure white sand surrounded the salt water lake and gave a stark contrast.

"I found this one day after one of our... disagreements," he glanced at her apprehensively for a moment, continuing when she nodded her consent."It reminded me of you. So beautiful and such a stark contrast to me. The way we collide... its beautiful." Steven thought of the ring in his back pocket, but decided not to risk it. It could wait.

The couple watched the place in silence for awhile, marveling at the mini ocean and soaking in the bright sunlight in each others company.

A family of Blue Jay's flew by and perched in a near by orange tree. The wind rippled the leaves and stirred the sand.

"This would be a beautiful place for a wedding..." they said simultaneously.

Steven whipped his head to look at Connie, who held his gaze out of the corner of her eye. Their cheeks turned a dark red and they turned away from each other in embarrassment.

"Connie..." Steven murmured, pulling her onto his lap. "Mmmm..."

Connie nuzzled into his neck and whimpered a sigh of relief. "I love you."

"I love you too." Steven said solemnly, still surveying the scenery.

Connie pulled away. "You promise?"

Steven cupped her face and kissed her nose. "Forever and ever."

"Even if things dont go as planned?"

"Especially if things dont go as planned."

"Connie... oh baby, what's wrong?" Steven's brow was furrowed deeply, something she hadn't seen since the Diamonds last visited.

"Oh Steven..." Connie reached up for him, going limp in his arms as he placed her on his lap on the edge of the tub. Heart wrenching, terrified wails came from his Ni-Ni, scaring Steven deeply.

"God, Connie? What's wrong?" His eyes teared up. "You're scaring me..."

Connie latched onto him, pushing her back onto his hand so he'd rub it and help calm her down. "On the counter."

He reached his arm as far as he could and grabbed a white stick off the of counter.

Two red lines.

"Uhm... this stick made you cry?" Steven said dubiously.

"No, Steven. Read the instructions."

"One line: not pregnant. Two line: pregnant." Steven stared at the stick, trying to understand what he was not seeing here. "Two lines: pregnant. Two lines..."

Connie tried not to giggle or call him an idiot as she waited patiently.

"HOLY SHIT!" He glowed pink so brightly, Connie was blinking the flash out of her eyes. "HOLY SHIT TWO LINES THERES TWO LINES OH MY GOD STARS AND DIAMONDS!!! I..." He simmered and held Connie tightly against him. "I'm gonna be a daddy." He picked her up gently and took her to the bedroom.

Connie was starry eyed as he crawled over her and kissed her deeply. Before scooting down to her tummy. "Theres a baby in here..." he said quietly. "Our baby." He placed his ear to her stomach and grinned. "Do you wanna know the gender?"

Connie sat up so fast they knocked foreheads and grimaced. "Ow."

"Uh, yeah. Ow. What was that for?" Steven mock pouted.

"Sorry, I just. Didnt know you could do that." She murmured.

"You wanna wait?"

Connie blinked up at him gratefully. "I want to find out together."

Steven chuckled and nodded. "Then wait we shall. Let's run you a bath, hm?"

A/N: Surprise me and Connie are pregnant.
