~The very next day...

~Husker's POV~

I was taking care of the customers that all wanted to have a drink. Today was pretty busy. A little while later, I was cleaning up the bar table as I was staring at the doors to the pool room. I sighed and took a deep breath as I was going to the doors. After I made it rough the doors to enter the pool room. As I looked around the room full of swimmers, I looked to see Aqua was in her lifeguard chair.

"Okay Husk, you can do this." I told myself, but I hesitated. "Ugh, I can't do this." I said to myself again. But I have to, it was to save her soul from Alastor. I walked up to her. "Hey Aqua."

She looked down at me, but turned away.

"Umm... c-can I ask you out on a date?" I asked her.

"Hmph." she crossed her arms and looked away.

"I'm trying to ask you out on a date. Why are you ignoring me?"

She blew a raspberry at me and threw something at my head. "What's this?" I asked. I picked up the paper from the ground and uncrumpled it. "Oh yeah. Well look, Charlie needed me that morning okay?"

She released a snarl. "Said you wanted time to yourself. Isn't that what you wanted?"

I sighed, "Oh boy, you're so complicated. I'm trying to ask you out on a date here."

"And I'm telling you to fuck off pussy." she stuck the middle finger right at me. "It's a lock out pal. Get used to it."

I was getting mad and started to growl. "You need to stop being such a bitch!"

She glared at me. "That does it." she snarled.

"What are you gonna do? Splash m-" I was interrupted as the next thing I knew, I was soaked. "Hey!" I looked up at her to see that she had dumped a bucket of water on me.

"Aww, did I do that?" she said it sarcastically.

I shook the water off my fur and smelled myself. "Did you just pour soapy water on me?!"

"Yeah. Because you reek of fish. You needed a bath anyway. Now get outta here." she turned away again.

"Fuck!" I said to myself and headed out, but I felt myself slip. "Whoa!" I fell on my back and felt the back of my head hit the ground. "Ah!"

"Hmph, that's what you deserve."

"Ouch..." I rubbed the back of my head and saw my paw covered in blood.

"Suck it up, buttercup." she scowled.

"F-Fuck..." I shook my head a bit as I was starting to get dizzy. I tried to get up, but ended up slipping again.

"Oh brother." she scowled again.

The next thing I knew, I felt something at my rear end. "Hey!"

"Oh shut up. Youre not even allowed in my domain anyway." she said as she was literally sweeping me to the door. "And stay out alleycat!"

"Whoa! Whoa!!" I was slipping and sliding across the floor and just ahead was a guest that I was about to collide into. "Look out!"

"Ah!" the guest yelled.

I shut my eyes and felt myself collide. But it wasn't the guest, I collided with the wall of the hallway. "Shit..." I groaned.

"Are you alright sir?" Aqua voice caught my attention.

"I'm fine. Thank you young lady." the guest thanked her.

"My pleasure."

I looked back to see that the guest was just fine. Aqua must've saved him before I crashed into him.

The guest looked at me with anger. "What the fuck man?!" he raised his voice at me.

"I am so sorry sir. This won't happen again. I promise." she apologized to him. And then glared at me. "Get the fuck outta here you heartless fool."

I gasped after she called me that. The way she told me that I was heartless made me tear up. I got up and ran out of her sight as I ran to hide behind my bar table. I couldn't believe it, what happened to the girl that I loved? The thoughts of her treating me like that made me cry. I cried and cried until I felt something on my shoulder.

I turned my head to the side to see that Rachel and Vaggie were there with me.

"Hey Husk, are you okay?" Rachel asked.

"Y-Yeah... s-sure..." I looked away. I felt myself slipping away into unconsciousness.

"Dios mio Husker is crying? Never seen him like this before. Que pasa, what's wrong?" Vaggie asked me and touched my head. She pulled her hand away and gasped. "You're bleeding!"

"What happened?" Rachel asked me.

"I-I fell..." I said.

"Oh dear." Rachel said as she pulled out her first aid kit from her chest fur.

"Where did you fall at? You're full of water and soap. Did you fall in the bathtub?" Vaggie asked me as she was helping Rachel with my head wound.

"N-No... the pool room..." I said.

"You shouldn't be up. You need to rest."

"I-I'm fine..."

"No you're not. The back of your head is bleeding and you're soaking wet. I also smell soap on you." she sniffed me again, followed by a growl. "Vaggie, take Husk to his room. I know who did this."

"Nah... don't do it..." I said to her as I was barely awake.

"Okay Rachel. Come on Husk." Vaggie said as she helped me me up, placing my arm over her shoulder. "Easy now."

"Uhh..." I groaned as I walked alongside Vaggie. "I feel like shit..."

"I gotcha gatito." Vaggie said as she walked up to my hotel room door.

I gave her the key and she unlocked it for me. Then we walked over to the bed.

"Easy." she said as she helped me lay down.

"Fuck..." I said as I laid on the bed and felt her tucking me in with my blanket. "Thanks..."

"Okay Husk. Is there anything that you need?" she asked me and then gasped as a loud voice rang at our ears.

"Well shit, somebody's loud..." I chuckled softly.

"Aye dios mio." Vaggie muttered. "I'll be right back. Stay there." Vaggie said as she ran out of my room and closed the door.

After Vaggie left, I fell right to sleep while I felt tears in my eyes. I couldn't believe it, Aqua being a bitch to me? Damn, what happened to the sweet girl in her? Something had to be wrong with her. And I'm gonna find out soon. Maybe.
