~Husker's POV~

After the waiter took our orders, we were all chatting up a storm. But to be honest, I couldn't help but stop staring at Aqua.

"You can talk to her you know." a voice said.

I shook my head and looked at Angel. "What do ya mean?"

"All I'm saying is that you can talk to her."

I grumbled. "I don't need to."

"Husk, remember what I said to you outside."

I sighed out. "I don't need you to be my babysitter you motherfucker."

"You really need to start being nice and friendly to Aqua. I know that she really likes you. And I also know you like her."

It was true. I really did like her. But if it wasn't for this curse I carry with me, then I'd screw everything up. The only way for the curse to be broken is if Aqua helped. And I was willing to take the plunge for it. I took a deep breath. "Hey Aqua?"

She turned her head toward me. "Yeah Husk, what's up?"

"How about we get warmed up with a drink?"

"Did I hear you say you wanna start now?" Rachel overheard us. "Let's go. You're on kitty cat!" Rachel said as she started ordering the drinks.

I sighed and ordered 6 bottles of beers. I looked back at Aqua who looked a bit uncomfortable. She was drinking a lot more water than usual and Angel was wiping the back of her neck with a napkin.

"Fuck..." she muttered to herself and started itching at her neck.

I saw something fly out of her neck and landed on my lap. I picked it up and saw that it was the same blue scale that I was wearing around my neck. So the scales, were coming from her! I looked back at her and she wasn't looking too good. It made me worry about her. "Aqua?" I tapped her shoulder.

"Yeah Husk?" she said as she was drinking more water.

"Are ya doing okay? I've never met anybody like you that drinks a lot of water."

"I'm fine Husk. I'm just... taking in my water before starting the alcohol challenge."

"Are you sure toots? You're looking a bit... bloated." Angel spoke to her too.

"I had too much water." she said as she got up. "Going to the bathroom." she said as she went there.

"Want me to go with ya toots?" Angel asked her.

"I'll be fine Angel!" she said as she went inside the girl's room.

I looked back at Angel. And then I looked at the scales Aqua left behind. Something didn't feel right. So I decided to tell everybody. "Hey guys?"

"What's up Husk?" Vaggie asked.

"I just noticed that these scales are coming out of Aqua." I said as I showed them to everybody. But their reactions were something that I didn't expect.

Rachel almost choked on her wine. Vaggie spat out her water. Angel gasped softly. Charlie yelped like a puppy. And Alastor, he looked away.

I growled at them. "You guys better tell me what's going on, because I'm worried! I mean umm... not that I'm too worried." I said.

"Husker my friend, she'll be just fine." Alastor said.

I got up from my seat and retracted my claws. "You guys better cut the act! Or I'll c-"

"I'm back guys." Aqua said as she was coming back from the girl's room.

I looked at Aqua and sat back at my seat. Then I made my claws go back to normal. I sighed in relief that she didn't see that.

"Sorry I took so long. My bladder was too full." Aqua said as she came back to her seat.

"Feeling better mija?" Vaggie asked her.

"Si, esta bien mi amiga. Esta bien." she spoke to her in Spanish.

"Okay. You got us worried there." Charlie also spoke to her.

"I'm fine. Oh, the food's here." Aqua clapped her hands.

I was relieved that the food was finally here. I ended up ordering the smoked salmon with the garlic mashed potatoes and a salad and everybody else ended up eating Italian pastas. Aqua was just eating a simple chicken salad. I was curious to know about why she was eating less. She usually eats a little bit more than that.

I also caught a glimpse of her shirt being wet at the top of her shirt. My blush came to my face after I can see through her shirt. She was wearing a black bra underneath. "Oh my fucking god..." I looked away.

"I'm ready for a drink. Waiter, get me a bottle of Casamigos and a bottle of Taylor wine!" Aqua said as the waiter gave her both bottles of booze.

"Want a glass?" I offered her one.

"Nah. No cup." she said as she retracted a claw.

"A whole bottle mija?" Vaggie asked her.

"Why not? I'm living a little." she giggled and popped open the bottle with her claw.

"Don't do too much now."

"I won't." she said. "Cheers!"

"Cheers!" Rachel raised up her glass.

"Cheers." I chuckled softly.

"Bottoms up!" Aqua said as she was starting to drink.

"Whoo! Go girl!" Angel cheered for her.

I gasped as I saw Aqua drinking the alcohol from the bottle! I couldn't help but smile to myself. I was impressed.

"Oh dear. Looks like we're gonna have a very intoxicated wolf tonight." Alastor said as he was drinking his 15th martini.

"Says the one who has a girlfriend drinking 30 beers." I chuckled as I downed my 20th bottle of booze.

~A while later...

We made it all the way home to the hotel. I hiccuped and saw everybody heading up to their rooms. I chuckled as I heard them laughing on the way there.

"Hehe..." I chuckled.

"Whoo..." Aqua giggled a lot. "That was fun..."

I laughed. "You know Aqua, you're a real funny person when intoxicated."

"You too Husky~"

"Husky?" I blushed.

"Yeah. It sounds cuter for you kitty~" she hiccuped.

"Nah nah don't say that. I'm embarrassed." I hid my face.

"Aww don't hide that fuzzy face kitty~" Aqua said as she made me look at her.

"Yep. You're wasted. Come on, I'll take ya to bed."

"No~ I wanna stay with you~" she said as she was hugging me.

"Okay okay. No hugs." I blushed more.

"But I like hugs~"

I chuckled. "Fine. Let's walk to your room."

"Can I still hug~?"

I sighed. "Whatever. Now let's go." I said as I was literally helping her walk to her room. "Nobody told you that you can drink."

"But I wanted to impress you~"

I chuckled. "Okay. Well you did." I said as we made it to her room.

After she opened the door, she went inside. "Yay, bed~" she said as she jumped onto her bed.

"Okay. Goodnight."

"Night~" she said as she was hugging her pillow.

"Sheesh, she's wasted." I said as I closed her door. As I was leaving her door, I looked back and smiled. Knowing that maybe this could work. Maybe she is the key to helping me break the curse. If I keep this up, my soul will finally be free.
