Interview

"Look I don't mean to rain on your parade," Vaggie explained, "But like... I don't really trust this kid."

"OK OK," Charlie sighed, "He's kinda creepy yeah, but-"

"Kinda creepy?" Vaggie asks, "His eyes don't hold anything but malice. His attachment to you is strait out a horror movie. It's beyond creepy."

"It doesn't seem to be a romantic attachment," Charlie explains, "If that's what's bothering you. He's not-"

"Charlie sweetie you know that's not what I'm worried about," Vaggie elaborated, "I'm worried about the fact that he looks to be completely crazy. He said it himself, he's not killing to gain power or control over Hell and he literally crucified a victim of him and slashed the word 'pure' into them over and over. Not to mention that he clearly has enemies who would wanna break in here and kill him. He's a liability and a deranged serial killer if I had to guess. Did he ever even tell you how he died?"

"No he kept that to himself," Charlie sighed.

"My guess he's just come in here to wait until there's a number of demons in the hotel and then kill everyone here," Vaggie explained, "Even us."

"OK look I get your concern," Charlie signed, "But he had the chance to kill me already and when Cherri attacked he actively tried to protect me. If he wanted me dead... well he would've failed; I would've killed him but he would've attacked me already. If anything he seems to be taking orders from me on who to kill. Which, he's not gonna kill anyone to be clear but he asked who I wanted killed when he first arrived. I think he can change you just have to trust me."

Charlie smiled, "I promise I can handle one serial killer...."

"He just left," Vaggie explained, "With a brass knuckle."

"Wait what?" Charlie asked as she turned to the doors of the hotel swing shut...

Richard walked down the street, rewatching the broadcast over and over again from when Charlie presented her hotel on 666 news and was laughed at and assaulted by the news anchor. Richard sneered, brass knuckle in hand as he approached the news station and went up to the front desk, "Hey you guys are looking for this demon killer guy right?"

The receptionist, a demon with three, red snake heads each with massive fangs, hissed, "Yessssss. We are. Ssssssso what?"

"I can get you an interview with him," Richard smirked, "Tonight. However he'll only speak to Katie Killjoy. You know, the women who interviewed Charlie?"

"Do you have any proof thisssssss will work? That you can get him to come here?" The receptionist demanded.

Richard's eyes glowed as he explained, "Of course. He's me..."

"Look so the serial killer is blowing off some steam," Angel Dust commented, "Dude was bound to snap. I expected it to be later than three days though."

"We have to find him," Vaggie growled, "And you're gonna go find him."

"What's the big deal?" Angel Dust demanded, "It's one brawl! I got into a brawl and I'm fine!"

Vaggie growled, "Your brawl ruined the other interview on 666 news! We can't have that happening again!"

"Wait does the little creep know about that?" Angel Dust inquired.

"I would assume so," Vaggie replied, "Why do you ask?"

"I'll be back," Angel Dust replied walking out the door.

Richard gripped his brass knuckle in the dressing room, talking to someone, "So how we killing this bitch?"

There's no reply before Richard protested to no one, "Hey man come on not so loud they'll hear you. I hate her too but we need to be swift. One swift motion. We aren't exactaly a very powerful demon. No magics or anything but maybe we'll develop as time goes on. Only my training from-"

"Hey Richard you in here?" A voice inquired as the door opened.

Richard fell out of his seat and bounced back to his feet, "Yeah yeah I'm- oh. Fuck off."

"Look Richard," Angel Dust sighs, "I can already tell we are not gonna get along but I do need to talk to you. Also were you talking to someone I swear I heard you talking."

"Just..." Richard lied after thinking for a moment, "Thinking aloud."

"Alright," Angel Dust shrugged, "Anyways, I need a favor. Don't kill Katie Killjoy man."

"Give me one good reason why not," Richard demanded bitterly, "Or why I should listen to scum like you."

"Man you really hate hookers don't you?" Angel Dust asked.

"I couldn't give less of a fuck about you sucking schlong for cash," Richard snapped back, annoyed, "I disagree with it but that's not what got you sent to Hell if I had to guess."

"Huh," Angel asked now confused, "Then I haven't a clue why you hate me but whatever. Anyways my point is, you care about Charlie right?"

Richard nods.

"Charlie really wants to show people this can work," Angel Dust elaborated, "So, even though it's kinda creepy how attached you are to this chick, can't you show you're being less violent by not attacking her and do Charlie a huge favor?'

Richard sighed, "Fine, but only because I consider Charlie's goals to be better for the world than my own personal vendetta, but someday that bitch is going to day for hurting Charlie."

"Why are you like this?" Angel Dust inquired, "It's really creepy."

Richard sighed sadly, "I... don't have a lot of friends here Angel Dust. I see all these evil beings who, in life I fought and... here they are. Charlie is the only person who isn't evil so I just kinda latched on."

"I mean for what it's worth I consider you a... well not quite friend but a buddy in a weird way," Angel Dust grinned, "I'd purify what's in your pants so to speak at a discount for ya."

"I'll pass," Richard replied, "Why come here anyways?"

"Oh," Angel Dust stuttered embrassed before sighing, "I can't believe I'm admitting this but I feel slightly indebted to Charlie and she's like... you know a lost puppy. Like you see a puppy in the rain and you know it's disease riddled and maybe rabid but you help it anyways despite better judgement. I know I put on this persona but that's what it's like to see her sad you know?"

Richard nods. The two talk silent before Richard, deciding Angel Dust has opened up and it's only fair he does too to make him feel better, admitted, "Schizophrenia."

"What?" Angel Dust inquired.

"I suffer from schizophrenia," Richard repeated, "I was talking to a hallucination named Purity."

"Why are you telling me that?" Angel Dust inquired.

"Cause if I have dirt on you only fair you have the same on me," Richard explained, "Consider it a gesture of good faith."

Richard looked at his watch and sighed, "I'm on."

Richard walked past Angel Dust and elaborated, "You're to good for this place but to bad for Heaven."

Richard offered a comforting back pat to Angel Dust and grinned, "So let's try to get into Heaven together OK?"

Angel Dust smiled, "You're not as aggressive as you act."

"Yeah but no one else knows that," Richard chuckled, "See you later."

Richard walked onto the set where Katie Killjoy glared at him with intensive hatred. The camera man signaled that they were live. Katie exclaimed, "And we're back and live with the mysterious murderer Purity, or, Richard West. So you stuck up little brat?"

Katie slammed her fist on the table, "You think you're better than us? Is it sadism? What's the deal?"

"I don't think I'm better than you Katie," Richard smirked propping his feet on the table.

"Glad you know your place you little-" Katie responded with a sadistic grin.

Richard interrupted, "I know I am."

Katie glared with death in her eyes, "What?"

Richard explained, "I've been saying at Charlie's hotel for three days, you may remember her and I came here to kill you at first. However, the treatment at the hotel is actually working and I think I can get into Heaven. In other words if not for that hotel..."

Richard's eyes glow as he grins with malice and a sadistic thrill, "You'd be dead and I'd be jumping rope with your entrails."

Katie slashed at Richard and screamed, "You stuck up little fucker! You're gonna die in Hell! You're gonna die down here and no one is gonna change that!"

Richard hides his fear that she's right. His fear that he will die. He will die down here and never see those he loved in life. He has this fear but he hides it and replied with fake confidence, "Yeah I'm not taking advice from a pasty, white trash, pencil neck, homophobe, stuck up, bitch who can't keep her cool on air for five seconds. You're not just a terrible person but you're terrible at your job. I kill because I hate scum like you but the hotel works, and it's open. So, I recommend it. Goodbye."

Katie Killjoy prepared to kill Richard, growing extra arms, but Richard booked it out of there and out of the studio. Katie couldn't give chase, still being on air, but stated into the camera with a fake grin, "I'm going to pay a hundred grand to whoever brings me that brat's head. Teach him a lesson boys..."

And thus the man hunt for Richard West began as Richard rushed to his hotel room, past Charlie who tried to talk to him, the news on in the lobby, as he dashed past her into his room. He began to have a panic attack, hyperventilating as he muttered, "You're gonna die here Richard. She's right. She's right. I'm never gonna see them again. I'm gonna die here. I deserve it. I deserve it."

Richard vomited from stress and shaking, continued, "I know I'm here for a reason. I know I am. I don't wanna die here but so many people wanna kill me."

There was a knock on the door.

Richard collected himself and answered to see Charlie, "Hey... buddy."

"Ah Charlie good to see you!" Richard exclaimed, "How are you?"

"Oh I'm..." Charlie began to explain before she sighed, "Look I just wanted you to know, you not killing Katie and advertising the hotel means a lot to me."

"Anything for my sis," Richard smiled.

"What?" Katie asked.

"Oh," Richard realized, "Force of habit you... remind me of someone I knew. Disregard that. Anyways, I take it Katie wants me dead?"

Charlie nodded.

Richard hid his fear and assured her, "I can protect myself don't worry."

"Alright well," Charlie smiled, "You're making good progress! Keep it up!"

"Will do!" Richard smiled, "I'm gonna take a nap. Talk to you later."

"Cya," Charlie smiled.

Richard shut the door as Alastor watched the news himself, he sneered to himself getting a devilish idea.

"I wonder if he would want to make a deal..." Alastor grinned, "Richard West... how badly do you want power?"

Alastor's hand glowed with demonic fire, "What kinda deal are you willing to make for it?..."
