Chapter 6

After the incident with Sir Pentious, Charlie and Vaggie manages to get thing settle, and take Zelda to one of the hotel rooms.

"Here you go, Zelda. This is the room you'll be staying in," Charlie says.

"Are you sure it's not too much? The room seems kind of large," Zelda says.

"It's no trouble at all, Zelda. Besides, Vaggie and I think it will be best you stay close to our room. Besides, it's perfect for a single guest and it has its own restroom and bed and such," Charlie says.

"Thank you," Zelda says.

"It's no trouble," Charlie says.

Charlie then brings out the key, unlocks it, and opens the door. Then Charlie walks into the room.

Zelda and Vaggie follow soon after.

Zelda is surprised to see the bedroom. It's a big thought, but it also reminds her of her own bedroom. There is a large window with red curtains. Along with a large queen bed with a canopy curtain, with some blankets, pillows, along with a few pieces of furniture. Two small ones are between the beds. There's also a desk that has a lamp on it. There's a door that leads to a closet. And an open door that has the restroom inside with a sink, toilet, and a bathtub.

"What do you think?" Charlie asks.

"I think it looks very nice," Zelda says.

"I'm glad you like it," Charlie says.

Then walks to the desk, "And there's a lamp for Kai, he can take some heat from it."

"I can see that. However, I don't have his terrarium with me, so there isn't a place for him to stay," Zelda says.

"Actually. I think we have something in the closet that you can use," Vaggie says.

He then walks to the closet, opens it, and pulls out a rectangular fish tank. It seems to be able to hold around 30 gallons of water. She then places it on the desk.

"It's no terrarium, but I think this will do," Vaggie says.

"Thanks Vaggie. I think it's a good size for him," Zelda says.

"Yes. I know that a snake will need more for a terrarium, but I'm sure we can think of something," Charlie says.

"Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help," Zelda says.

"It's no trouble at all," Charlie says.

Then Zelda asks, "And you both are sure you both don't mind if I help you with the hotel?"

"We don't mind. From what happened, we could really use the help, especially after the mess. And we can help you find a way home, find out more about your uh strange abilities, and as long as you're in the hotel, you'll under our protection," Vaggie says.

Zelda smiles, "Thanks Vaggie."

"You should get some rest. You had a very long day. Alastor said that the jambalaya will be done soon," Charlie says.

"Okay. After what happened, I could really use some sleep," Zelda says.

"We figured as much, after what you've been through," Vaggie says.

"We'll let you get some rest. We'll come by later to let you know dinner is read," Charlie says.

"Okay. I'll see you guys later," Zelda says.

Soon, Charlie and Vaggie take their leave.

"Bye Zelda," Charlie says.

"Have a good nap," Vaggie says.

Then the two girls take their leave, leaving Zelda and Kai alone in the then removes her shoes and allows Kai to slither out of her backpack and lies on the pillow, feeling comfortable. Zelda giggles in reply. The young woman then lies down and is on the verge of sleeping.

Zelda then takes out a photograph to herself and her parents on her birthday.

"Don't worry mom, dad. I'll find a way to get back home. Somehow," Zelda says to herself.

Then Zelda falls asleep soon after.

Back on Earth...

Lilo is still in the family home, waiting patiently for Alexander and the other men to return. She's been sitting on the couch in the living room waiting anxious for them to return. She hopes that Zelda will be with him. She's been so worried ever since Zelda's sudden disappearance and pray that she is safe.

Just then, Zelda hears the sound of the door opening and turns her head to see her husband Alexander walking into the living room.

Zelda rushes towards him and asks, "Did you find her?"

"No. I'm afraid not. However..." Alexander says and presents Zelda's cellphone in his hand.

Lilo gasps in shock and on the verge of tears.

"Do not worry, I have reason to believe that Zelda is still alive, and I have an idea where she could be," Alexander says.

"You do? Where?" Lilo asks, worried.

"Sadly my love, this is the hard part to explain," Alexander says and has a frown on his face.

This has Lilo worried, "I know that look, Alex. Did something happen?"

Alexander takes a deep breath and says, "After discovering Zelda's disappearance, the men and I search to see where Zelda could have gone, and notice Kai's carrier is empty. My guess is that Kai slithered off and Zelda went after her. After hours of searching, I found a cave and sensed a demonic aura inside. That is where I found Zelda's phone, along with a mysterious light in the water."

He then sighs, "I've used my magic to check the lake and I realized that the cave was once used by a cult many years ago that has been long disbanded. However, it appears that the demonic magic that they once used remained in the cave. And I feared that if anyone steps into the water, they get sucked in, and into another location." Then shows a serious expression, "And I know where that other location is."

Lilo is shocked to hear it, "No..."

"I'm afraid so. And sometime after that, I've sensed a strong magical energy. I also realized that Zelda's powers have finally been activated. Which means, Zelda must be in some kind of trouble," Alexander says, showing deep concern.

"What will we do now?" Lilo asks.

"There's only one option I have. I need to go there and find Zelda," Alexander says.

"You mean, down to Hell?" Lilo asks, worried.

"Yes. And there is only one person I can think of to ask for help in finding my daughter, his niece," Alexander says.

"You mean, him?" Lilo asks, surprised.

"Yes. He's the only one who I can truly turn to. Part of me wondered if I should have told him about this from the start," Alexander says.

Then let out a sigh of regret, "And tell Zelda the truth about my family history, my family legacy, and the powers she could have possessed."

"I know it's difficult since you both have become estranged, but I'm sure he'll understand once you explain everything to him. Especially the life you've started here in the past 25 years," Lilo says.

"I can only hope you're right, my love," Alexander says.

Then the couple give each other a gentle kiss on the lips.

Then Lilo asks, "Are you sure I can't come with you?"

"I'm sorry, but it's far too dangerous for a human to roam in that realm. It's already a dire situation that Zelda ended up there. If anything were to find out her true identity, I shudder to think of the danger that might befall her. I promise I won't rest until I find our daughter," Alexander says.

Then Lilo gives Alexander a hug, "Be safe, Alex."

"I will," Alexander says.

Soon, Alexander leaves the house after packing a few of his things and heads out to find his daughter.

Alexander says to himself, "I need to get to Hell as quickly as possible. Knowing him, he might be able to sense Zelda's magical force. If her powers truly activate while in Hell, it will draw a lot of attention from the many demons in the demonic realm. Meaning that he'll end up seeing her soon enough..." He lets out a sigh and says, "My elder brother... Lucifer Morningstar."
