Ch. 41: Wedding To Remember

It had been three months, and today was the day. Vaggie and Charlie were in separate rooms, getting ready.

And both of them were EXTREMELY nervous, even if this was the happiest day of their lives.

Charlie was pacing... something a pregnant woman should now be doing.

"Um, Char?" Angel Dust asked, standing in the room with Charlie.

"What? Is it my make up? Do I look bad?" Charlie asked, rushing to the mirror. "Ah, what if I ruin this entire day!?l

"NO! No! You're fine, you look fucking amazing! But you gotta calm down!" Angel said, walking to Charlie and stopping her.

"What if something goes wrong? What if someone objects?! Oh god, what if Vaggie says no?!" Charlie shouted in worry.

"Charlie... do you possibly think that girl is going to say no? She fucking impregnated you!" Angel said, gesturing to Charlie's baby bump.

"I know but-"

"But nothing! Nobody in hell outside your dad and sister love you as much as Vagin-Vaggie does. This wedding is a dream come true for her and you, so don't ruin it by worrying about meaningless shit." Angel Dust said. "Honestly, do you really think anyone else would want to spend the rest of eternity with you? That girl loves you as much as you love her."

"I-I guess that makes sense." Charlie said as she slowly calmed down.

"It makes a LOT of sense. So try and calm yourself down, even if it's the hormones from your baby bump, and focus on saying "I do" when you're at the altar." Angel said.

'Fucking christ, I hope that Emily is calming Vaggie down.' Angel thought.

Meanwhile, in Vaggie's dressing room, she was FAR from calm as she was furiously sharpening her spear. She was also wearing her new golden eye patch with a magic laser in it.

"Vaggie, you're getting married, not going to war." Emily said with her hands up.

"You never know!" Vaggie said, focusing on her sharpening.

"Vaggie, I DO know." Emily said, walking towards Vaggie and grabbing her arm to stop her. "We have strong security, not to mention the archangels AND the Seven Deadly Sins, here. So if someone tried to ruin this wedding, they would have a VERY painful death."

'I don't know how dad managed to get them all here and keeps them from trying to kill each other.' Emily thought, referring to the arch angels and the rest of the sins.

She figured it didn't matter, as that was his problem.

"What about the Vees? They could try something!" Vaggie said.

"Ahahahahaha, you don't know? Dad is forcing them cater the wedding!" Emily said with a loud laugh.

"Seriously? Does Angel know about this?" Vaggie asked in shock and surprise.

More so surprised and thinking about Angel's well-being over her own stress levels before the wedding ceremony.

"Oh, he will, and I made sure to tell Husk to record his reaction." Emily said with a grin.

"Ahahahahahaha." Vaggie chuckled, actually finding that calming. "Okay, that will be funny to see."

"Yep, and I can't wait to see it." Emily said before she got a text.

She pulled out her phone to check, smiling at the message.

"Oh, that's just beautiful." Emily said.

"What?" Vaggie asked.

"Secrets. Just know that the ceremony is going to begin soon and Charlie looks beautiful." Emily said, putting her phone away. "Now come on, let's get the final touches made."

Emily walked to Vaggie, taking the spear and sharpening stone away, before sitting her in front of the mirror.

"Now, let me finish your make up." Emily said.

"But you don't wear makeup." Vaggie said.

"Yes I do. You just can't see it cause it makes my skin." Emily said, gesturing to her face.

Vaggie rolled her eye.

"Okay, miss expert, make me beautiful." Vaggie said, smiling.

"Don't worry, I will and Charlie is going to love you even more. If that's possible." Emily said as she began putting the finishing touches on Vaggie.

"Don't think it is." Vaggie retorted.

They chuckled together again as Emily pulled out some lipstick and applied it to Vaggie's lips.

"Fallen or not, I'm making you look like an angel once more." Emily said.

A few minutes of make up, lipstick, and eyeshadow later, Emily pulled back and looked over her work with her chin cupped.

"Not bad, you know, in my unbiased opinion." She said, nodding.

"Yeah, I don't think it's so unbiased anymore." Vaggie said in awe of her reflection.

"You're beautiful." Emily said, grabbing Vaggie's shoulders. "But just know... hurt my sister and I will make you suffer."

"... Did you just shovel talk me?" Vaggie asked, turning to Emily.

"Yeah... was it effective?" Emily asked.

"If you weren't as threatening as a kitten it would've." Vaggie said with a tiny grin.

"How about now?" Emily said as she made her third eye appear, turns her eyes black, and made her teeth sharp. "Still like a kitten?"

"...Honestly, yes." Vaggie said, not afraid.

Emily just slumped over at that point.

"I hate you so much right now." Emily said, undoing her short transformation. "Let's just get you to the alter."

"Yeah, I want to get married to the love of my life." Vaggie said, getting up.

Emily pulled out her phone and texted Lucifer that Vaggie was ready for the wedding. She got a text back and smiled.

"So, ready to become the new Mrs. Morningstar?" She asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Vaggie said as she walked to the door.

"Then let's go, my soon to be sister-in-law." Emily said, following Vaggie.

-The Wedding Venue, Morningstar Castle-

Before long, the wedding music began as the guests stood up and waiting for the bride to come down the aisle. Vaggie would go in first, then after another minute, Charlie would.

'Alright, the "groom" is here. Time to start the music.' Emily thought from her position as she glanced at the piano player.

She nodded and they started playing. "Here Comes the Bride" played as everyone looked to the front of the black carpet.

The door opened and Vaggie stood there, feeling multiple feelings in her non beating heart.

All eyes are on her and Vaggie felt that she was the bell of the ball, the happiest person in the world right now as Vaggie lead her down the aisle.

Since Vaggie never really had a father, Emily took it upon herself to lead Vaggie down the threshold.

Mainly because she isn't think Husk wanted to, that Angel would take it seriously, and she REFUSED to let Alastor do it. She still didn't trust him.

Nevertheless, Emily was all too happy to do it.

'Alright, everything is going great so far. And we're gonna keep it that way.' Emily thought, glancing around. 'Otherwise I will obliterate the person that makes this go wrong.'

Once they reached the alter, Emily allowed Vaggie to take her place before she went to her own as the best man/maid of honor.

Angel was right, who says she can't be both?

She's the damn princess, she can do whatever the hell she wants.

'Alright. Now it's time for Charlie to come down with dad.' Emily thought as everyone turned back to the front door.

The doors opened again, and Charlie was there, trying to hid her blush a bit. All eyes were in her and all jaws were dropped at the sight of her beautiful, black regal dress. (Chapter 39.)

'Oh my god, she's gorgeous.' Vaggie thought, her blush consuming her face.

Lucifer took her arm by the elbow and smiled.

"Ready?" He asked.

Charlie nodded and he began to walk her down the aisle.

'Over 200 years ago, if you told me that she would be getting married, I would've said you're crazy... and here I am... trying not to cry.' Lucifer thought.

He could clench his tear ducts shut but he couldn't stop his lips from quivering with happiness as Lucifer looked ahead to Vaggie.

'She'll take care of her. She's a good fit for my little girl.' Lucifer thought.

He knows they're perfect for each other. Not like Charlie's horrible ex-boyfriend, Seviathan von Eldritch. Who was uninvited, along with the rest of his family.

'If that snake tries anything with Emily, I will murder him.' Lucifer thought but only if she didn't beat him to it.

Once they reached the alter, Lucifer gave Vaggie a kind smile and a nod.

"You'll take good care of her." He said, stating a fact and not a question.

"Always." Vaggie said back, smiling back.

Lucifer then took his place between them... being one of the few people in Hell legally allowed to officiate a wedding.

Everyone quickly took their seats and watched with anticipation or with tearful eyes as Lucifer cleared his throat.

"Dearly beloved and damned, we are here to celebrate the union of two women unlike any other." Lucifer said before gesturing to them. "Charlotte Morningstar and Vagetha."

'Going to kill Adam for that.' Vaggie thought, still pissed at Adam for naming her after "the best part of the female body."

"Now, before we continue, does anyone object to this union? Because if they do, you are gonna die." Lucifer said before growing his horns and his eyes glowed read. "So keep it to yourself."

Everyone stayed quiet.

"No one? Good." He said with a nod.

'Oh dad.' Charlie and Emily thought with small grins.

"Now, I've been told both brides have written vows. Which they will now recite." Lucifer said as he retracted his horns.

Clearing her throat, Vaggie went first with her vows.

"I'll go first." Vaggie said as she stared into Charlie's eyes. "Charlie... the second you found me in that alleyway, I knew my life was going to be perfect. I know it's not the best way to meet... sadly I've still had worse... but I'm glad it was you that found me."

"Oh Vaggie, I feel the same." Charlie said with a smile.

There was an audible aw from the crowd, finding these words cute.

"Truly beautiful words." Lucifer said with a small tear, wiping it away. "And now, the second bride?"

Charlie nodded to her father before taking a breath, gazing at Vaggie with a soft smile.

"Vaggie, I've lived a good life. A good 200 years here in hell but I don't think it ever truly began until you came into it." Charlie said with a fond look. "I found you bleeding out, next to a dumpster, like an abandoned kitten."

Everyone, including Vaggie chuckled at this comparison.

'I'm a deadly angel and she's comparing me to a kitten.' Vaggie thought.

"And like how I always wanted, I decided to take you with me... because dad couldn't stop me this time." Charlie said, slightly glaring at Lucifer, "And that turned out to be the best decision I ever made."

Lucifer held his hands up as he chucked nervously, remembering his absence during his depression/neglect period.

"For that, I am sorry." He quickly said.

"Now, as I was saying... you may have fallen... but you fell right into my arms, and you committed a massive sin." Charlie said, turning back to Vaggie. "You stole my heart."

In the crowd, the sin of Greed look away from the corny use of his sin but didn't say anything since this was his niece's wedding.

'Only Char-Char could make greed sound so romantic.' Mammon thought with a tiny grin.

Lucifer smiled at his daughter, never being so proud of her in his life. This was the day every father dreamed of, their little girl beginning their next stage of life.

"Again, If there is anyone who opposes this marriage, speak now or forever hold your tongue." Lucifer said, looking around the crowd.

Once again, nobody dared to speak a word.

"Thank you. Now then, do you, Vagetha, take Charolette to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, to protect and be protected, in sickness and in health, and to stand by until the end of days, for all of eternity?" Lucifer asked her.

"I do." Vaggie said, smiling at her soon-to-be wife.

"And do you, Charolette Morningstar, take Vagetha to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, to protect and be protected, in sickness and in health, and to stand by until the end of days, for all of eternity?" Lucifer asked his daughter.

"I fucking do." Charlie said, almost crying from happiness.

"Then I guess there's no beating around the bush here... you may kiss the bride." Lucifer said.

Charlie and Vaggie threw their flowers away before they kissed each other, getting cheers and claps from the guests as they all stood up.

The two separated and smiled at each other.

"I can't believe we're actually married." Vaggie said.

"Feels like a dream, doesn't it?" Charlie asked.

"The best dream ever." Vaggie replied.

"Now now, everyone settle down, we have one more ceremony to get to." Lucifer said, getting their attention. "Charlie, Vaggie, are you ready?"

The two nodded and followed Lucifer to a table near the alter. He pulled the sheet off and revealed two crowns.

"Ladies, gentlemen, angels, demons... you are all about to witness history." Lucifer said, picking up one of the crowns, "Vaggie, please kneel."

Vaggie moved away from Charlie and went down to a one while making sure her wedding dress didn't get ruined.

"Do you vow to uphold the rules of Hell, to protect it from any and all dangers, to make sure that all unholiness shall prosper?" Lucifer asked.

"I vow." Vaggie said with a nod.

He placed the crown on her head. He then picked up the other crown and looked at Charlie.

"Charlie, please kneel." He said.

Charlie did the same as Vaggie, lifting her dress a bit as she went down to a knee before her father.

"Do you vow to uphold the rules of Hell, to protect it from any and all dangers, to make sure that all unholiness shall prosper?" Lucifer asked.

"I vow." Charlie said before Lucifer put the crown on her head.

"I now pronounce you two... the Queens of Hell." Lucifer said.

Charlie and Vaggie rose to their feet as Lucifer summoned his staff, holding it towards Charlie.

A figurative and literal "handing down the torch" with the torch being the throne.

"Dad, I can't, this is-" Charlie said before Lucifer forced it into her hands.

"Just wait... I added a little something to it." Lucifer said with a tiny grin.

Before her eyes, the staff started to change in Charlie's hands. It became longer, the handle became white, a golden snake wrapped around the top, and, in classic Morningstar fashion, it was topped with an apple.

"Wow." Charlie let out, amazed by this.

"It's yours now, kiddo. Use it well." Lucifer said with a soft smile.

"Thanks, dad." Charlie said with a smile.

"You're welcome, sweetie." Lucifer said before looking at the crowd. "Everyone, give it up for your new Queens of Hell!"

The crowd cheered and clapped once again.

'And so, Hell is under a new rule.' Michael thought as he looked at his niece and niece-in-law. 'Samael has left it in good hands.'

"Hey, dad? What are you going to do now?" Charlie asked.

Hearing that, Lucifer smiled a bit but there was a bit sadness in it.

"I... think it's time for a long over due trip." Lucifer said, remaining vague, "I've been cooped up in this old castle for so long, I think it's time I see the beauty of Hell... something you showed me is possible."

Charlie smiled as she hugged her father, possibly the last time for a long time until his "vacation" ended.

"Now, I believe it's time to move this party to the dance floor." Lucifer said.

"He's right, Charlie. It's time for the married couple to share their first dance." Vaggie said, grabbing Charlie's hand.

"Well, Mrs. Morningstar, it would be wrong of me to deny your request." Charlie said, smiling.

"Well said, Mrs. Morningstar." Vaggie said, before looking at Charlie's belly, "And our little Morningstar on the way will have the best life we can give them."

Charlie nodded agreement as she and Vaggie moved to the dance floor for the first dance of the wedding.

The newly crowned queens began to dance, the entire audience giving them their moment.

"I feel like I waited forever for this moment." Vaggie said.

"Luckily for you, we have the rest of forever to enjoy this." Charlie said.

"And I'll cherish every last moment." Vaggie said, holding Charlie closer as they danced.

It was peaceful... but there was still something the two had to do. After their dance, they pulled Emily aside.

"Emily, we wanted to talk to you about something." Charlie said.

"What is it?" Emily asked.

"You see... being queens mean Vaggie and I won't be able to be by the hotel as much." Charlie said, summoning a small box, "So I want you to have this."

Emily, being very confused, grabbed the box and opened it. She let out a gasp as she saw a new Name Tag that said.

Owner: Emily MorningStar

Emily then looked at the new queens.

"Are... are you sure?" She asked with wide eyes.

"We're positive." Vaggie said, nodding. "You have been working harder than either of us have there in the last few months. You deserve it."

Emily smiled and hugged them.

"Thank you!" She said.

Just as the reigns of hell had been passed on that day, the reigns of the Hazbin Hotel had been passed on as well.

And both were in the best of hands.
