Chapter 31. Martyr
Valack pulled Lydia out of my room shortly after she told me about what she had seen. I'm not sure if that was his intention or not, but after hearing that my perspective on getting out of here has changed. Maybe it's better if I stay locked up in Eichen. I don't want out of here if it means that I'm eventually going to end up killing Stiles. I want to keep him safe, even if that means subjecting myself to mind numbing torture by Valack for the rest of my life.
I was mulling all of this over when he walked back into my room with a wheelchair, it was empty this time. I glanced at him and he smirked, "Did she share anything with you?"
So, I was right. He wanted Lydia to tell me that I will eventually kill Stiles because he wants to get inside my head and make it harder for me to fight for my freedom. He wants to play mind games and hurt me because when I'm weaker it's easier for him to do whatever it is that he wants to do to me.
"Miss McCall, do you know why I wanted you here?" he asked me as he approached my bed and began undoing the restraints on my wrists.
I blinked slowly, slightly dazed from whatever he had given me this morning when I woke up, "To hurt me?"
"I wanted you here because you have a connection to the Beast... with you and Lydia here together I can heighten both of your abilities and you can both tell me who it is." he explained as he pulled me off the bed and slid me into the wheelchair.
This would be the prime opportunity to fight my way to freedom, but there is something in my system preventing me from doing so. He has covered all of his bases and is very intelligent I will give him that... because I can't find it within me to try and escape right now.
"Why do you need Lydia, too?" I asked weakly as he wheeled me out of my room.
We passed Lydia's room and he pushed me in a direction that I have never been in before. I have no idea where we are in Eichen House-- because I've only ever been in the closed unit once. I had no idea that Valack cared about who the Beast was, I'm not exactly sure why he does but for some reason he wants to know who it is bad enough to somehow get me back into Eichen so he could do this.
"With her scream... amplifying your connection to her, you'll be able to tell me who the Beast is." he responded simply.
I blinked rapidly as we passed through a doorway into yet another hallway, "Where are you taking me?"
Valack ignored my question and we entered the mens shower room. It was empty, but on the door it had the boy shape on it so that's how I knew where we were. I'm not sure why he pushed me in here because it's literally just a shower room... He wheeled me to the corner of the room above a grate on the floor and he looked at me, "You're going to have to climb down this ladder. I'll go first and you follow, if you try to run it won't be good for you."
I sighed in defeat as he lifted the grate up and began descending the ladder. I climbed out of the wheelchair and slowly followed his movements. I have no idea where the hell he is taking me but I have a feeling this leads to some sort of tunnels and nothing good ever comes out of going to underground tunnels.
When I reached the bottom, Valack grabbed a hold of my upper arm and he began pulling me through the tunnels that smelt like chemicals. I stumbled as I tried to keep up with his speed and he was navigating the tunnels effortlessly. He must have been down here several times before because he knows exactly where he is going.
The hole in my head was starting to burn and I wanted it to just go away. I'm not sure why he felt the need to drill a hole into my head, but apparently it has something to do with having Lydia and I figure out who the beast is.
After walking for about ten minutes he pulled me into a room. I blinked rapidly as things started to sway from side to side, I don't know what's going on with my vision but something is wrong. Valack pushed me up onto a chair and he strapped my wrists and ankles down. He sat down in the seat beside me and looked me over thoughtfully, "How are you feeling?"
"Not good," I responded as my stomach lurched and I winced from the pain.
Valack nodded as he stood up, "I will bring Lydia down here with you later, tonight we are going to find out who the Beast is."
He then left the room and closed the door behind him, leaving me completely and utterly alone. I let out a sigh and rested my head against the uncomfortable headrest on the chair. I don't know what time it is so I have no idea how long I'll be waiting down here by myself. It could last hours and there isn't a single thing I can do about it.
I am praying that Scott and Stiles are coming up with some sort of plan to get Lydia and I the hell out of here. I know that technically they can't do anything because our legal guardians have signed us over, I still don't know how Valack managed to get my mom to sign those papers, but maybe they can break us out or something. I have to have faith that they are trying to get us out because Stiles has to know that Valack is planning to do something, why else would I be taken in as a patient so suddenly?
My eyes landed on a body of a dead nurse resting against the wall on the far side of the room and I gasped. How long has she been down here? Did Valack kill her? I swallowed thickly and squeezed my eyes shut, praying that maybe this stuff that he gave me will wear off and I will have my strength back so I can break out of here.
The only thing I can do is sit here and wait, and I don't know how long I'm going to have to do that.

THIRD PERSON POV
"I can't believe this is actually a medical establishment," Theo Raeken said in disgust as he glanced over to Tracy Stewart, who was holding Valack up against the wall by his throat.
Stiles was breathing heavily as he watched the scene unfold in front of him. Theo and his pack had shown up a few minutes ago and he wasn't exactly sure why they were here. He vaguely recalls a conversation he had with Theo in the library where Theo offered to help Scott and him get Lydia out, but now he can see that he obviously has an ulterior motive behind his plan.
"Now, what would a pack of chimera's want with a Banshee?" Valack asked in amusement.
Theo rolled his eyes, "I don't want a Banshee. I'm looking for a Hellhound."
A loud growl echoed around the hallway and Stiles jumped in place as he saw Parrish appear behind the gate on the far end of the hall. Most of his clothes were burnt off and his skin was on fire. Stiles internally cursed himself for not thinking about Parrish possibly hell hounding out during the midst of this rescue mission.
"You wanted a Hellhound... I think you found one." Valack said as Parrish grabbed a hold of the metal gate and began to melt it. The pieces of metal bent in on itself and the door collapsed, clambering onto the ground.
Parrish stepped over it with ease, his eyes glowing bright orange as he approached the group. Theo smirked as he dipped inside Lydia's room and snatched her off the bed, she whimpered as he dug his claws into her neck and pulled her out into the hallway so Parrish could see her.
"Back off," Theo stated and pushed the claws deeper into Lydia's skin.
Stiles went to move forward because he hated watching Theo hurt one of his friends again, but he knew that it was in his best interest to stay out of sight for now. Tracy dropped Valack onto the floor and Stiles watched him crawl into Lydia's room for safety.
"Take him," Theo said to Corey.
Corey's eyes widened, "The guys on fire!"
"You'll heal. Do it." Theo demanded at his pack.
Tracy, being the fearless one, decided to approach Parrish first. She ran at him and shoved her claws into his abdomen. Parrish merely glanced down at them before he slung his arm at her and sent her flying into the wall. Josh ripped the metal bar off the power line off the wall and sucked up some electricity before he placed his hand on Parrish's shoulder to shock him. Once again, Parrish glanced at the sad attempt to harm him and shoved Josh into the wall as Josh yelled, "Theo this isn't working!"
Valack crawled out of Lydia's room and used the drill that had put a hole in Lydia's head to drill a hole into Theo's leg. Theo shouted as he dropped Lydia, which Valack quickly countered by standing up and smacking Theo in the face with the drill.
"Sorry Theo, but I'm afraid I'm not done with her yet." Valack said as he pulled Lydia off the floor and started walking towards the exit.
Stiles jumped up off the ground and blocked his path, but just as he was about to try to do anything to stop Valack from escaping, Corey's body came soaring through the air and landed right on Stiles. He hit the ground with a thud and started coughing as he inhaled the smell of burnt flesh. He glanced at Valack who had been looking at Lydia and saying, "Off to Kasey, now."
As soon as he heard his girlfriends name, Stiles' adrenaline went into overdrive and he shoved Corey's body off of him. Valack and Lydia passed through a wooden door that Stiles attempted to slip through but it shut and locked before he could get to it in time. Stiles began to panic and smack the palms of his hands against the door as he shouted for Lydia to stay strong. He grabbed the door handle and tried tugging on it, but it was no use. He didn't have the strength to break down the door.
Everything in his mind was telling him to just slam his body against the door, because eventually it would break. He wanted to catch up to Valack and Lydia because they were going to Kasey and Stiles needs to find her. He needs to get to her and save her because he promised her. He needs her back in his arms.
"Let me try," Theo shouted as he appeared out of nowhere and kicked the wooden door down.
Stiles glanced at him unsurely before he bolted through the door and headed in the direction that he could only assume Valack and Lydia had taken.
"You're not going to be able to find them without me!" Theo shouted as he ran after Stiles.
Stiles's shoes were squeaking as he flew down the hallway. He halted to a stop when Theo finally caught up to him, "Stiles, I want them out of here, too. I have Lydia's scent."
"What do you want?" Stiles snapped, not liking the idea of possibly working together with Theo... but if it meant saving Kasey's life then he was going to do it.
Theo sighed, "I can find her you can't."
Steam blowing out of an open window in the room beside them drew both of their attention. Theo nodded because the scent had led to that particular room. Stiles followed behind him as they entered the mens shower room. The patients were all crouched down in fear as they saw Stiles and Theo walk in. Stiles glanced around in confusion, because he had no idea where Valack could have gone from here, there were no more doors.
Theo walked over to the corner of the room and moved a patient out of the way to reveal a grate. They both crouched down in front of it as Theo said, "It leads down to the tunnels doesn't it?"
"There's miles of them. They could be anywhere by now." Stiles responded in defeat.
