Chapter Four
Episode 16- Bring it on
I walk out of a store and walk in between a few trucks when I hear a noise making me turn to look that way and turn around stopping. I hear another noise and I turn around and there's a guy standing a few feet in front of me. The guy speeds towards me holding me by the throat against the trailer of one of the truck. The vampire throws me to the ground. Klaus speeds behind him showing his hybrid face. "Have a care, mate. That's no way to treat a lady." Klaus said before biting the vampire. Before throwing him up in the air before letting him fall to the ground.
"You came." I say "Well, you did say it was urgent." Klaus helps me up and I look at the vampire who speeds away. "Oh, don't worry about him, love. He'll never make it through tomorrow night." Klaus said "What if there are more?" I ask "You were foolish enough to make a deal with Katerina Petrova. She used you to find the cure, and now you're nothing but a loose end. You'll be lucky if she lets you live." Klaus said "You said you would protect me." I say walking past him. "And I will, just as soon as you tell me everything you know about Katerina." Klaus said and I stop to look at him.

I lean back in the chair putting my foot in the chair grabbing the wine. "So you're rested, you're fed. Tell me about Katerina." Klaus said "Most men get their power kick from torture and intimidation. With you, it's drinks and fine dining." I say "Well, in your case, I favor hospitality over unpleasantness, but I have been known to change my mind on a whim. Where is Katerina?" Klaus asked "You seriously think I know?" I ask "You tipped her off as to what we were up to and set her on a course to find the cure. In return, she sent her lackey to snuff you out. Tell me, what did Katerina promise you?" Klaus asked and I sit the wine down before sitting up putting my foot on the floor. "I was in New Orleans trying to find information about my real parents. Katherine found me and told me she could help." I say "An orphan? Well, that does explain your charming bravado. Abandonment issues will do it every time." Klaus said "Sounds like you would know." I say "I'm the only one that can protect you. I'm happy to do so, provided you cooperate." Klaus said

I walk in Klaus' art room with him following me. I take a drink of the drink in my hand. I look at his painting. "Hate that. Too much. I don't get that. Hmm... I don't care." I look at a painting. "Hmm. This one." I slightly pick it up and look back at him. "It doesn't make me want to puke." I turn around and lean against the table. "Why'd you paint it?" I ask "Painting is a metaphor for control. Every choice is mine... The canvas, the color. As a child, I had neither a sense of the world nor my place in it, but art taught me that one's vision can be achieved with sheer force of will. The same is true of life, provided one refuses to let anything stand in one's way." Klaus said and he stands in front of me. "So this is your thing... Show a girl a few mediocre paintings, whine about your childhood, and I swoon and spill all my dirty secrets?" I ask drinking my drink.
"I felt I had many charms, but, uh, regardless, I'm enjoying myself." Klaus said "And you do whatever you enjoy, up to and including hunting my friend Tyler for the next century." I say walking closer to him. "Oh, surely not the next century." He walks over to the alcohol. "Only until I kill him." Klaus said "You talk a good game, but the truth is you let him go. My guess: You know if you kill him, Caroline will hate you forever." I say "If I simply killed Tyler, my revenge would be over in a moment. Sentencing him to a lifetime of paranoia and fear... That's Tyler's true punishment. But come now. You never really thought there was a future for you two, did you?" Klaus asked "I don't know. He might have left Caroline for me if I'd used the cure to kill you." I say "You know, if Tyler has even half your resolve, he may actually make it through the year." Klaus said "It doesn't take resolve. It takes allies, a network of people willing to do anything for you, including chase down loose ends to their death. That's how Katherine escaped you all this time." I say "Perhaps you know the names of Katerina's special little helpers." Klaus said walking closer to me. "Maybe I know one or two. Maybe I'll even tell you." I say finishing my drink.

Klaus hangs up the phone and turns back towards me. "My sister informs me that your vampire assailant is dead, so you're safe and free to go. Or stay." Klaus said and I look at him. "I could be persuaded to stay, enjoy some of the good life. And maybe I could drum up a few more of Katherine's secrets and you could do something for me." I say as I walk closer tohim. "Oh, I'm sorry, love. You'll never convince me to let Tyler go free." Klaus said as he walks closer to me. "Well, then, I guess I'll never get my chance with Tyler any more than you'll get a shot with Caroline." He turns away from me. "Do you want to know why I like that painting?"I ask and he turns back around. "Well, perhaps it was because it allowed you to see into my deep, wounded soul." Klaus said and I walk closer to him. "I saw how twisted it really is. And maybe I can relate." I say and he walks closer to me. "So what's it gonna be? Going... or staying?" Klaus asked "You like to be in control, you tell me." I say getting closer to him. He runs his finger down my cheek before looking at him. He grabs me pulling me closer to him before kissing me. We start taking each other's clothes off before he lays me on the table.

I'm clipping my bra with my back facing Klaus. "Running away, little wolf?" Klaus asked and I smile. He grabs the shoulder that my birthmark is on and I turn my head towards him. "What?" I ask "That mark. I've seen it before." Klaus said "Yeah. It's a birthmark. People have those." I say getting my shirt and putting it on. "In my considerable lifetime, I've only seen that mark on a handful of others." I turn and look at him. "All from the same bloodline... A werewolf clan that once thrived throughout much of what we now call Louisiana." Klaus said and I stand up. "Don't lie to me... Not about this." I say looking at him. "I wouldn't dare. Matters of family are sacred." Klaus said "Tell me." I say
Episode 20- The Originals
I was sitting at a bar in New Orleans. "Third time in here this week." Jane-Anne said "I'm obsessed with The Gumbo, Jane-Anne." I say "The old ladies in the ninth ward say my sister Sophie bleeds a piece of her soul into every dish." Jane-Anne said "I asked around the quarter about my family." I say "And?" Jane-Anne asked "Nothing. Zero. Can't find a single person who remembers them." I say "Because, Hayley, people like you were run out of here years ago." Jane-Anne said "What do you mean, people like me?" I ask and she walks over beside me with a map. "In the Bayou, they call the werewolves Roux-Ga-Roux." She circles something on the map. "You head out there; you'll find what you're looking for." I stand up. "Be careful. It's the last place you'd ever want to go." Jane-Anne said and I walked out of the bar.

I drive up to the bayou and I park my car looking at the map. The map suddenly catches on fire. "What the... uhh!" I throw the map out the window. I put the car in reverse and suddenly smoke comes out of the hood of the car. "Are you kidding me?" I get out of the car and get out my phone calling for a tow service. "Hey, I'm looking for a tow service." I say and suddenly there's a really loud static coming from my phone making me cry out in pain. I drop my phone to the floor and step on it. I see people starting walking towards me making me look around. Suddenly I pass out falling to the ground.

"Elijah, what madness is this?" I hear Klaus ask and I walk towards them with witches following me. "Klaus... You need to listen to them." I say and he laughs. "You're all out of your minds if you think some liquor-fueled one-night stand... No offense, sweetheart... Means a thing to me." Klaus said "Marcel may be able to keep us from practicing real magic in this town, but as keepers of the balance, we still know when nature has cooked up something new. For example, I have a special gift, of sensing when a girl is pregnant." Sophie said and I look up. "What?" Klaus asked "I know. It's impossible." I say and he looks at me. "What are you saying?" Klaus asked "Niklaus... The girl is carrying your child." Elijah said
"No. It's impossible. Vampires cannot procreate." Klaus said "But werewolves can. Magic made you a vampire, but you were born a werewolf. You're the original hybrid, the first of your kind, and this pregnancy is one of nature's loopholes." Sophie said "You've been with someone else. Admit it!" Klaus exclaimed coming towards me. "Hey. I spent days held captive in a fucking alligator bayou because they think that I'm carrying some magical miracle baby. Don't you think I would've fessed up if it wasn't yours?" I ask "My sister gave her life to perform the spell she needed to confirm this pregnancy. Because of Jane-Anne's sacrifice, the lives of this girl and her baby are now controlled by us. If you don't help us take down Marcel, so help me, Hayley won't live long enough to see her first maternity dress." Sophie said "Wait, what?" I ask "Enough of this, if you want Marcel dead, he's dead. I'll do it myself." Elijah said "No. We can't. Not yet. We have a clear plan that we need to follow and there are rules." Sophie said "How dare you command me? Threaten me with what you wrongfully perceive to be my weaknesses? I won't hear any more lies." Klaus said "Niklaus. Listen." Elijah said and Klaus looks at me and I put my hand in my stomach. Once he hears the baby's heartbeat he looks up at me. He turns and looks at Elijah. "Kill her and the baby. What do I care?" Klaus asked and he leaves. I look at Elijah.
