The first thing Haxus registered was the soft yet firmness of a mattress under him, a fluffy blanket covering his body and an extra soft pillow cradling his head. The last thing he remembered was falling to his death after the galra drone called 'Rover' knocked itself against his head. (Y/n) was sitting on a pillow on the floor while reading something on a datapad, trying to pass the time. Her attention was drawn to her bed when she heard a very quiet groan, still holding the datapad. Haxus was waking up; thankfully (Y/n) had food and water ready for when he woke up.

"Where… Where am I?" Haxus queried groggily, his voice barely above a whisper as he spoke.

"You're in my bedroom." (Y/n) answered quietly as she stood up, putting her datapad on her nightstand before she grabbed the cup of water.

Haxus cracked his eyes open and looked at (Y/n), but he wasn't fully aware of what was going on. (Y/n) put the edge of the cup against his bottom lip and Haxus opened his mouth a little, allowing her to slowly pour some of the water into his mouth. The cool liquid felt good as he drank since his throat felt dry and scratchy. After going so long without drinking, he was extremely dehydrated and malnourished.

"I know that you're not too aware of what's going on right now, but my name's (Y/n). I found you in one of the lower levels of the castle and saved you." (Y/n) calmly told Haxus, putting the cup back on her nightstand once it was empty.

Haxus was still looking at (Y/n) with half-lidded eyes, his mouth still slightly open. He felt oddly safe while in her presence; so safe that he fell asleep again. (Y/n) carefully got off of her bed so that she could let Haxus sleep, knowing that he still needed to rest. It was almost dinner time, so she decided to join the Paladins and Coran for dinner as usual. (Y/n) would try and bring something back for Haxus to eat, hoping that he had the strength to eat. She didn't know what kind of food Hunk was making for dinner, but she knew it would be delicious.

"Oh, you're awake." (Y/n) said when she entered her bedroom with a bowl of soup, seeing that Haxus was sitting up with the aid of her pillow.

"Who are you, Human?" Haxus asked as he narrowed his yellow eyes at (Y/n), glaring at her while curling his upper lip up a little.

"My name is (Y/n), I saved your life." (Y/n) answered as she slowly approached her bed, not making any sudden movements.

Haxus curled his upper lip up a little more, showing his sharp teeth while quietly growling. (Y/n) tried her best not to show any fear as she put the bowl of soup and a spoon on her nightstand, slowly stepping back a little. Having a once powerful male galra in her room was a little nerve-wracking, but what (Y/n) didn't know was that Haxus could literally smell her fear.

"Sendak will come back for me and he will take you and the Paladins down." Haxus rasped, hesitantly taking the bowl and the spoon off of the nightstand, his arms shaking a little.

(Y/n) just stood there, watching him; she wasn't going to tell him that the Paladins captured Sendak in fear of stressing him out. Haxus had to admit that the soup looked and smelled really good,  but he would never say it out loud. Hunk had found something to make the soup taste almost like chicken noodle soup, so it would do nicely for (Y/n's) new roommate.

"I'll just let you have some privacy. You're still very malnourished, so don't bother trying to escape. I'll be back to check on you shortly." (Y/n) said with a firm tone before leaving her room, giving the galran male his privacy.

Haxus watched as (Y/n) left the room, making eye contact with her before she left. His stomach grumbled loudly as he smelled the soup, reminding him of how hungry he was. He slowly ate the delicious food, liking how savory it tasted. It tasted much better than the bland tasting food goo that the Emperor provided for everyone under his command. Meanwhile, while (Y/n) was hanging out with the Paladins, her mind wandered back to Haxus; she hoped that she could get him to become a better person so he could have a second chance in life.
