Are you jealous?
After the paladins freed another planet from the galra empire (Y/n) was invited to the celebration feast. (Y/n) wasn't invited to many celebration feasts, but when she did get invited she naturally attended them; any chance to get out of the castle and have some fun was rare, but very much welcomed. She made sure to give Haxus some food and water before getting ready for the feast and leaving with the others. Keith was getting the hang of being the new black paladin, even though he was still looking for Shiro whenever he got the opportunity. Everyone aside from Haxus really missed Shiro; they all thought he was dead except for Keith who had the feeling he was still alive somewhere.
The feast on Skaro was a lot of fun; not only was the food really good but there was dancing and the queen gifted each of the paladins, Coran and (Y/n) with one gift each. (Y/n) was beyond shocked when she was given a black paladin hoodie that fit her perfectly. She got to meet, talk to new people and dance with a few others during and after the feast, having the time of her life until it was time to return to the castle. The flight back to the castle was somewhat quiet because everyone was tired and happy; as much fun (Y/n) had, she felt sleepy and was ready to go to bed. After everyone exited the black lion they said their goodnights and started going their separate ways.
"Today was awesome, wasn't it?" Lance asked (Y/n) when he caught up with her in one of the hallways, a sleepy yet happy smile on his face.
"Yeah, it was. I haven't had that much fun in a long time." (Y/n) answered in agreement, wearing her new hoodie since she felt a little chilly.
Lance's smile grew a little while he thought about the feast earlier; he got to dance with Allura, making it the best evening of his life. Each paladin wished (Y/n) goodnight before going to their rooms, leaving the young woman alone in the hallway until she too went to her room. After going to brush her teeth and right before entering her room (Y/n) hoped that Haxus was alright considering he was completely alone for most of the day. He had been, of course, because he had the freedom to get to know his surroundings; he had already gotten ready for bed when (Y/n) entered her room.
"I take it the feast went well." Haxus said after (Y/n) took her shoes off; it was more of a statement than a question, he could tell she had a good time.
"It was so much fun. There was food, dancing and the queen gave each of us a gift. I don't know how the Skaroians knew about hoodies but I'm happy they do." (Y/n) answered in a happy tone, smiling while she started telling her roommate about her evening.
Haxus looked at (Y/n) while he listened to what she had to say, noticing how her hoodie looked just like the black paladin's armor. He had encountered Shiro before and smelled his pheromones; it was no secret that Shiro would make a powerful mate and just thinking about it made him feel jealous. (Y/n) was so busy telling him about the feast that she failed to notice how he was glaring at her hoodie with hate and jealousy. Haxus didn't know why he hated her wearing something that resembled Shiro's armor, she wasn't even his intended, but he did and he would prefer her to wear something that represented the galra. He was glad she had a wonderful evening, he just wished she hadn't been gifted such a hoodie.
"Hey, is something wrong?" (Y/n) asked Haxus out of the blue when she saw him glaring angrily at her hoodie as though he hated it.
"It's nothing." Haxus denied through clenched teeth, averting his gaze as best as he could; he still wasn't entirely in touch with his emotions and he didn't want to do anything he'd regret
"I know you well enough to know that it's not 'nothing'." (Y/n) responded firmly, walking over to her bed and sitting down next to the galran man.
"You really want to know what it is? It's that thing you're wearing, it resembles the black paladin's armor." Haxus spoke without hesitation, turning his attention back to the hoodie.
"So what? Why does it matter what I'm wearing?" (Y/n) queried in confusion, not quite understanding why he hated what her new hoodie looked like.
"Was he your mate? Why do you insist on wearing something that resembles him?" Haxus questioned angrily, bearing his teeth ever so slightly as he spoke; he hated seeing (Y/n) wearing the hoodie.
"He's not my 'mate'. Why should it matter if it looks like his armor or not?" (Y/n) asked him again, speaking in a firmer tone than before.
"Because it does. Now take that hoodie off before I rip it off of your body myself." Haxus threatened with a deep growl, glaring at (Y/n's) black paladin hoodie; if she was going to wear something he didn't want it to look like Shiro's paladin armor.
"H-Haxus!" (Y/n) shouted somewhat loudly while a dark blush covered her face and neck, feeling flustered all of a sudden; she couldn't block the mental image of Haxus laying her on the bed and ripping her new hoodie off of her as though he was going to devour her whole.
"You're blushing you know, and I can smell your pheromones." Haxus growled again, but with a more lustful tone rather than a threatening one; he wasn't able to read (Y/n's) mind, but he could smell how her pheromones changed.
(Y/n) just sat there on the bed, blushing madly and feeling beyond flustered; she was thankful the walls were soundproofed, otherwise someone would have heard what she shouted. She tried her best to calm herself down but Haxus' words echoed in her mind, he could smell that she was slightly aroused from thinking about him ripping her clothes and exposing her body to him. Haxus' anger melted away to pride; once again he made (Y/n) flustered. He patiently waited for the young woman to regain her composure, briefly wondering what was going through her mind. Not only could Haxus smell her pheromones, but he could also hear how fast her heart was beating.
"I'll take it off, but if you do anything to it you'll regret it." (Y/n) said after a few moments, looking up at the male next to her while speaking with a firm tone.
"I would like to see that happen." Haxus muttered humorously before he closed his eyes, sat further up on the bed and sat with his back facing (Y/n).
(Y/n) rolled her eyes and began undressing once Haxus was facing the opposite wall; she knew that he wasn't the type to watch her get undressed. She removed her new hoodie first and hid it in the closet, taking her other clothes off and putting them in the hamper. While she was putting her pajamas on Haxus couldn't help but listen; on a normal basis he wouldn't be curious about a woman undressing and give said woman her privacy, but there was something about (Y/n) that made him curious. He wondered if she was somehow messing with his mind even though he knew humans weren't capable of doing such a thing, then he wondered if it was because he had been living with her for so long. During that particular moment Haxus was questioning how he actually felt about (Y/n); he didn't know if he liked her as a person or if his feelings ran deeper.
"Okay, I'm ready for bed." (Y/n) announced after she finished putting her pajamas on, placing one of her hands over her mouth and letting out a big yawn; after the day she had she was tired.
"It's about time." Haxus responded in a grumpier tone than he originally intended; he didn't say anything else as he moved the blanket and laid down.
(Y/n) didn't think much of Haxus' grumpy mood; to her, that was how she was used to him acting. She turned the lights off before walking over to her bed and laying beside her roommate, pulling the other half of the blanket over her body. After saying goodnight to Haxus (Y/n) was a little surprised he wished her a goodnight considering how peeved he was when she walked into her room while wearing her new hoodie. Haxus fell asleep after (Y/n) fell asleep, clearing his mind of the jealous feeling he felt a few moments earlier. He decided to drop the hoodie situation as long as (Y/n) never wore it again, he could always sort his own feelings about her out later.
