NAME. 

🎼 Augustino Rodolfo Del León. 

PREFERRED NAME. 

🎼 with time, augustino grew to prefer being called augustine. he worked around a lot of people who gave his name and unnecessary twist, and it grew irritating. he eventually just decided to go by AUGUSTINE. he believes that americans will never truly understand how to properly pronounce his name, so rather than draining himself, he just found a shortcut. 

NICKNAMES. 

🎼 Gus — simple shortening of his name. it's only acceptable for those close to him, meaning a very limited amount of people he doesn't find irritating. 

🎼 Headmaster De León — the students and most of the staff call him this. he merely puts up with it, considering it's just a title. no big deal, right?

🎼 Mr. De León — another name the staffs given him. he doesn't normally use first names unless he's getting serious around them.

🎼 augustine grew up thinking tattoos were untraditional and slutty.

🎼 adding onto that, he has a A.H tattooed onto his inner wrist in a small, gothic font he easily hides it underneath his sleeves and jokingly stated that if they ever broke up, he'd simply get a couple of flowers over it.

🎼 used to have piercings when he was younger...has since then gotten them removed. agustine refuses to elaborate on what kind of piercings they were.

🎼 a couple love bites and nibbles on his fingers. he doesn't mind letting vicente bite him.

#O3 — PERSONAL INFO!

GENERAL. 

🎼 by nature, augustine is a crisp, orderly individual. he enjoys the finer things in life — wine, bird watching, sleeping on weekends with his boyfriend. he's a private individual who enjoys birdwatching and going on walks with his little dog, vicente. why, it's almost therapeutic. 

like most school staff however, he's an entirely different individual inside the school. more closed off, brow—furrowing and scowling. he admittedly isn't the biggest fan of children, although he's got three of his own, and only really seems to like the schools architecture rather than the people inside. it's a simple job, either way. 

he's got a terribly short temper when certain individuals already annoy him, especially the schools more infamous troublemakers. he'll walk down to their classes just to make sure their in line. 

but, behind this stern and scary authoritative figure lies a fragile, sweet man who's fantasies are much outside of the average. one whom yearns the tender touch of a lover, a sweet kiss goodnight and attention and love has much has a pathetic puppy dog. you can kick him, but a simple taste of love will have him coming back, begging for more. 

augustine is naturally a dreamer. he can't help but love on those he cares about. slipped fifty or a hundred dollar bills into pockets, gentle caresses — he shows affection through gift giving and acts of service. like a cat or perhaps one the birds he loves to watch. he'll bring along shiny trinkets or crinkled up dollar bills, nuzzle his bearded face into the crook of your ear and make you promise you won't tell where you got a small fortune worth of money from. 

he's an absolutely pathetic, love sick fool. needy. squirmy, yet oh—so—very dirty. he can't help but want to show just how loving he is. love is meant to be spread around, right? 

generally, augustine is a private, stern man hiding a gooey, nougat interior. he'll spend one hour punishing a student and the other wrapping his arms around achilles, providing sweet nothings and reciting spanish poetry into his neck..oh, dear. how excitable, yes?

PARENTS. 

🎼 Octavio De León & Dulce De León. 

— they set a young augustine's standards quite high. dreaming of the person he'd be when he'd grow up, gently pushing him to become a great man. they aren't cruel. they've never laid a hand on his backside or made him feel any lesser. they love him. 

 infact, it's himself who believes he's the cruel one. he can't bring himself to disappoint them, and it's rotting him inside out. his parents love him, yet he's a pathetic nobody. he's afraid of telling them he's in love with a man. afraid he'll show them he's not truly anyone impressive. a disappointment to the De León name. 

SIBLINGS. 

🎼 Jonas, Marc & Estel De León. 

— much older than augustine, all in their forties or fifties. despite himself having a beard full of salty speckles, they believe him to be a baby. still a young boy figuring himself out. he once drunkenly confessed to not finding women attractive or very interesting, and they merely laughed and said he was confused. 

even drunk, he felt a certain weight clench it's way down his throat and curl up into his stomach like a sandbag.

ADOPTIVE RELATIVES. 

🎼 Achilles Hartley. 

— gus' long—term boyfriend and only true console. oh, he loves him to bits, even if he knows his affections would probably nauseate most. he can't  help but wish he could just show up to the school someday with a little rainbow pin or something — maybe even just a giant sign that says "I'M IN LOVE WITH ACHILLES" and hold his head up in pride nonetheless, not embarrassed or scared of what others would think. 

he spoils him dearly and enjoys just enjoying a warm day and walking henry and vinnie with him. giving him little bits of jewelry and later on exchanging pieces of clothing...inhaling his sweet cologne and just feeling his skin against his. i'd better stop before augustine goes too into detail, right?

🎼 Marisol De La Cruz. 

— gus' first wife. they're on quite good terms and she somehow felt the reason that agustine asked for a divorce. it wasn't because she was ugly, or annoying, or a bad wife. they still keep in touch, and she usually takes the children for the holidays. 

🎼 Giulia Bonaparte. 

— gus' second wife. the relationship was more for convenience than anything.. gus was still interested in having children and admittedly felt has though he waa being judged for his marital status back then. she currently has a girlfriend and lives in Martha's Vineyard. guilia is basically his best friend; they keep in touch, and she's already pretty sure about his sexuality. his refusal to confirm it is confirmation itself..

🎼 Vicente De León. 

— a small, sweater wearing miniature schnauzer that augustine brings everywhere. this is, infact, the dogs legal name and he has a small stamp with his paw print to sign veterinary documents. if vicente can't go, neither can augustine. being a private school, augustine is allowed to do whatever damn—well pleases him. students with dog allergies are rebuked, and augustine refuses to get rid of the dog either way.

— oh, dear. a true wrecking ball that drives him half mad, augustine isn't afraid to admit he's grateful that his children live at the school dorms most of the year. he loves his family, he truly does, but he can't exactly understand why things can just never seem to go his way. he loves her, although he's felt they've gotten estranged. he's unsure whether it was his or the divorces fault. she used to adore him when she was younger. did he change, or did she? still, he can't help but give what she expects of him. he feels like shit if he doesn't, and to be frank, he doesn't know how else to please her.

— oh, his sweet little one. his youngest child whom he's desperately not trying to avoid estrangement with. he can't help but feel she's hiding something, but then again, he's been feeling like all his children have been hiding something from him. it's all a terrible mess that's making him feel miserable. the only comfort he has is seeing her keep the bear he gave her. he loves her, that much is clear, yet he can't help but think that giulia is better at this parenting thing. overall, he's trying his best. dealing with four teenagers of your own and then a hundred of other people's teenagers is bound to give you a headache, isn't it? finally, he gave her his mother's name has her middle name. a testament of how much he loves his daughter and his mother. dulce — sweet, just like her.

🎼 augustine uses a cane often times. he has an accident a couple years back and was left with a severely injured hip. that doesn't stop him from doing what he does, though.
