🐎 a true nasty son of a bitch. 

dutch knows the truth, yet he can't help but twist it like a smoking hot metal. he's the big dog of that god-damned prison, and nobody can change his mind. worthless bastards would've been shoved underneath some other big guy if he hadn't protected them in exchange for a good hunka' flesh. he's the damn shit of that prison ...  self—righteous. he's self—righteous. a holier—than—thou than won't rest until you writhe and admit that he IS THE MAN and you WILL always worship his dusty fuckin boots.

he's a smart man, aside from that. knows where to hide. who to prey on during the darkest moments of the night, to make them crave his "Southern Hospitality" esque affection. his touch, his words, and his knife dripping blood while his eyes maintained glued to the only goddamn love of his life. make you think he's doing things that need to be done, and make you fuckin love the way he does it. he's convincing, conniving and all sorts of manipulative synonyms. he won't stop until he's got your flesh sunk between his teeth and your mouth convinced you want more. 

he'll rub his hands up on your shoulders, hold your cheek and force your attention into himself, let you know who's beneath him and will always be. it's this sort of primal, burning urge and need to prove that he's a man. a beast capable of both extreme destruction and a good flirt. he can't live without dominating non—existent competition, without fighting invisible threats or without predating on those he thinks he's entitled to. a vicious cycle of sloppy sobbing, begging for comprehension and then railing the fuck out of a pretty thing he charmed into his pants, growling all his past aggressions into their ear and swearing names nobodies even familiar with. 

he truly believes he's both a monster and a god among men; the one worthy of everyone's flesh and sacrifice, yet unwilling to sacrifice for a stranger. dutch thrives of familiarity, and his reality is chasing fresh meat and protecting his family. he can't help but practically weep at the thought of loosing what twisted, familiar haven he's built. just the idea enough drives him insane, his eyes bursting at the capillaries and his veins bursting with anger. 

he's quite literally killed, stolen and deprived to earn what he's built, and he's not ready to let anyone take it away. all those are a threat, only to be used to crush out of anger and grope out of impossible misery.

🐎 monroe was a prostitute over in nashville. she was an absent mother, but she really did love dutch. she submitted a missing person report on him, but due to the young man always passing for someone much older, he was never recovered. the only reason she knew he was alive was because he had a damn mugshot and a massive body count on him. dutch only ever had his mother in life, and she only ever had him.

HISTORY. 

🐎  dutch was born from a prostitute mother and unknown father. he was exposed to sex at a young age and was frequently taken to clubs or jobs with his mother. he was usually just told to turn around and turn the TV up. one of his mother's most frequent johns would take him out to ice cream at dairy queen if he behaved. it was always his favorite memory. 

 his first girlfriend was much older than him, currently sixteen. he was always big and "mature" for his age, leading him to think he was mature enough. she praised his intelligence, wit and good looks without end. he thought he loved her, but with time, it was the attention and touch he'd been deprived of that he truly loved. 

she eventually pushed him into sex and inappropriately touched him while he clearly didn't consent. he was nervous and already had tainted views on sex due to early exposure and having it just be a part of his lifestyle from an early age. he was lost and hurt.  afterwards, she did pressure him into getting a secondary round when he clearly wasn't. she embarrassed him for not "returning her affections" and she laughed at him and called him gay. not a real man. enraged, dutch grew angry towards dominant feminine figures and overall a misogynist. he was afraid of being dominated by a woman especially.

he refused to let another one like HER degrade him like that again. thus began his hatred towards blondes and go—getter type of girls.

 around the same time, his close friend and neighbor, jasper, killed his step—father. the two traumatized teens bonded on shared experiences, fleeing and living on jointed savings and in a stolen truck. a real beaut that dutch called sugar baby. 

dutch's anger towards his early on assault and exposure was tame until he spotted a woman that looked similar to his first girlfriend. he tricked her into sleeping with him has a sort vengeance tactic — he symbolized his anger through hypersexuality with people who looked similar to his first girlfriend. he eventually snapped and killed her. both temporarily liberated and scared, the body was hidden and the cycle repeated. dutch handled the hunting and jasper eliminated them. a perfect team. 

admittedly, he's more angry he got abused by someone he trusted than her shaming him for not being to perform, but he refuses to admit that and would rather hide his shame and anger through violent tendencies proving he is "man enough" to handle the same situation, thus the symbolization through proudish blondes at gritty environments. 

eventually, dutch was caught after killing the son of a cop. blondes were his major pattern type, sure, but beggars can't be goddamn choosers? short story is, his ass was caught and arrested in front of the entire damn motel community. his lawyer was kind enough to get him a deal he certainly didn't deserve; he'd plead guilty and take life if he got to be placed with jasper.

🐎 dutch has a child. they frequently visit him, but he can't recall much about them nowadays ( concept is still being worked on )

🐎 his favorite song is nine to five by dolly parton. don't ask. 

🐎 his last name is purposefully meant to resemble dutch van der linde.
