Lucy's P.O.V

I woke up just a few minutes , due to my alarm clock and was instantly overcome with thoughts of yesterday. How Natsu was extremely happy to have my number, but that didn't take away from how my dad still treats me. Sure it's way better than it use to be, but why is he suddenly treating me nicely? I remember asking him before,

*Flash Back*

"Dad... Why are you being so nice?" He looked back at me and back forward again.

"When you ran away I felt something hurt in my chest where my heart is suppose to be. After a lot of thinking it opened my eyes to what I've done to you, and I just wasn't right ..." Then he fixed his gentle composure to splintering anger in just a second.

"But I really don't care... But of course I'll still let you go to school with that guy. Because people might get suspicious." With the end of his speech he picked me up by my hair and threw me down the hall way until I crashed into the door mirror : at the end of the hall. He was taking steep steps towards me while he balled his hands into fists.

*End Of Flashback*

I don't know if this is just for show, like he did that night, or if he is actually changing. I get up out of my bed and started doing my morning rituals when I got a text.

From Natsu: Hey Luce, I was wondering if we could walk to school together? 

To Natsu:   I would love to! 

From Natsu: Okay, I'll be over there in about thirty minutes. 

To Natsu: Okay see you soon 

I rushed through getting my hair done, going down stairs and started to make my father's breakfast. 

"Hey Lucy, what are you doing?"  I looked at him strange

"um making your breakfast." He looked down guiltily at the floor

"You don't have to do that anymore Lucy. I'm really sorry for the way I've treated you." he looked back up at me and smiled shyly. 

" It's fine, It's not like I can't still make you breakfast." I said quickly trying to get away from this conversation. My father was about to respond but there was a knock at the door. I'm so glad that I was saved by a visitor.  

"I'll go get it." my father said as I continued to cook his breakfast. 

*Natsu's P.O.V*

I was worried when I first texted her, that she would say no. So when she said yes I started jumping for joy. My father knocks on my door.

"Why are you jumping about?" He asked while laughing.

"I asked Luce if we could walk to school together." I answered smiling.

"I'm guessing she said yes." he asked raising an eyebrow and smirking. I blushed a bit and nodded. He gave me a pat on the back.

"Good job sport, now hurry up and go get her." he said smiling. I rushed all over the house getting my stuff together and ran out the door to get to her house.  I was so excited, but also nervous. What if her dad answers the door, or worse yet Luce answers the door and her dad harms her again.  I looked around my surroundings and saw the clear blue sky and the bright yellow sun. Just like my Luce's hair, I couldn't stop thinking about her. What did Mira say this was, love? Liking? I'll just ask her later. 

I walked up the porch stairs and knocked on her door. I heard foot steps coming, making me even more nervous. The door opened and I came face to face with Luce's father. 

"Um hello Mr. Heartfilia, I'm here to pick up Luce."I smiled nervously, he smiled at me.

"Hey Natsu, Lucy is just finishing up some stuff." He looked behind him to see Luce coming to the door.

*Lucy's P.O.V*

I heard Natsu's voice and quickly finished putting out father's breakfast and rushed to the door with my school stuff in tow. My father was chit chatting with Natsu when I walked  up.

"Hey Natsu." I smiled brightly at him.

"Hey Luce!" he returned the smile. I saw my father in the corner of my eye smiling at the two of us. 

"Well have fun at school you too." My father said to the both of us. 

"Thanks." me and Natsu said together and began walking to the sidewalk. After we were quite away from my house Natsu began to talk.

"Does your father still hurt you?" He asked worriedly.

"No, he is changing, but I just don't know if it's for show." I looked up and him with a small smile. 

"Has your father stopped hurting you?" I asked back at him.

"Yea he has, he is treating me way better now." I smiled brightly 

"That's wonderful Natsu!" I hugged him tightly

"yea it is" he said back hugging me back. Once we got to school I followed Natsu to his group of friends and stood really close to him. 

"Hey guys" Natsu said to the group that consisted of Mira, Juvia, Grey, Gajeel, Levy, Jellal, Luxus, and Erza. 

"Hey Natsu, Hey Lucy." everyone greeted us. I shyly waved to everyone, still staying as close as I can to Natsu. I listened in on the conversation the group was having but I didn't really collaborate.  The bell rang and we all dispersed and went to our classes. I took my seat next to Natsu while taking notes that our teacher has written on the board.

*Jude's P.O.V*

When Lucy and Natsu greeted each other this morning I saw them smile very bright. The brightest smiles I have ever seen. I need to do something to get them together. Maybe I can talk to Natsu's dad and get him in on it too. I grabbed a phone book and dialed Mr. Dragneel's phone number. After a few rings he answered. 

"Hello Igneel Dragneel speaking." 

"Hello Mr. Dragneel, this is Jude Heartfilia, Lucy's dad." 

"Oh hello Mr. Heartfilia, what can I do for you?" I scratched my chin

"When your son came to pick up my daughter this morning, I saw them smile in the brightest way I have ever seen. So I wanted to try to collaborate with you, in means to get those two together." I said quiet for a bit to let him sink in my proposal. 

"I think that is a great idea. What were  you thinking we should do?" 

"Well we both own companies, so why not have the two marry each other to combine our companies?" 

"That sounds like a great idea. We should tell them about this tonight, but we should keep it a surprise who they are marrying." I thought that was a great idea.

"That's wonderful idea, to see their faces when they find out when Lucy walks down the aisle. This will be perfect, do you want to get together next week to plan the wedding?" 

"Sure thing Jude, we see you then." 

"Sure, see you then Igneel." I hung up the phone with a big smile on my face, I hope Lucy likes this surprise, I also hope this will kind of make up for what I have done to her.
