Chanmi's P.O.V

"Why Doyoung?" Jungwoo continued to press questions. He held up his camera to take another picture before turning back to me. "How did that happen? He's like the drama queen of this college and you're one of the most studious people."

I clamped my lips together while I acted like my focus was set on a group of vines that crawled up a tree. I raised my camera to snap a picture.

"It makes me curious as well," Chunja added. I heard her footsteps approach me from behind. "How did Doyoung even catch your interest?"

With a big sigh, I opened my mouth to start talking. "I guess I started to like him back during our first year of college. After we all met and became friends, Johnny decided to have that first get-together party where we could all hang out on a Saturday outside of classes." A small smile formed on my face as I remembered that night. "I noticed him in a class of mine and found him to be cute. When I realized he was friends with Johnny, I got a little nervous about the get-together because I would actually be meeting Doyoung."

I walked into the room, ready to try and talk to him. Passing the window, I could just see my reflection and glasses on my face. I quickly took them off and hide them behind my back as I walked over to Doyoung.

Thanks to my horrible vision, my hip bumped the table as I approached him. Doyoung turned around as I reached a hand out to lean against the table while I looked up at him with a smile. "Hey, I know you from our literature class."

In the blurs, I could make out Doyoung's smile. "Yeah, you're Chanmi. You had that really long poem yesterday."

I let out a small chuckle. "I'm surprised no one fell asleep by the time I was finished."

"No, of course not. Who would want to miss an essay length poem about cryptic messages that no one can understand?" He brought his cup to his lips to take a sip.

"I can tell there's sarcasm in your voice." My cheeks felt as though they were growing warmer. A shy smile replaced my one of amusement.

"There's just something... different about you right now." Doyoung brought his hand up to his chin in thought. Then, he reached behind me to hold up my hand that held my glasses. Doyoung took the frames from my hand and placed the glasses back on my face. I blinked a couple of times as all of the blur cleared and I was left with a perfect view of Doyoung.

My face was definitely warmer than before, making my eyes adverted to the floor. "I just didn't like how they looked."

"What's wrong with them?" Doyoung tilted his head, as if trying to make sense of what I was saying.

I shrugged. "I just don't think glasses are... nice on me."

Doyoung's eye squinted a bit. "I don't see what you're talking about." Then, my heart almost stopped as a smile surfaced on his face. That's when I really felt feelings for him. It's like I completely fell all at once under that smile.

"You mean... Doyoung said that?" Jungwoo asked, showing a bit of confusion in his expression. "Kim Doyoung was being smooth?"

I rolled my eyes at Jungwoo.

"Are you sure that was him?" he continued. "Maybe someone was there that night that just happened to look like him?"

Chunja gently pushed Jungwoo with her elbow. "I'm sure Doyoung is capable of saying nice things."

Jungwoo only gave a skeptically face as he positioned his camera to a tree.

"Plus, that's really sweet of him," Chunja added. "I can see why you would like him. Have you even tried to make a move?"

"Pft," I scoffed, pushing up my glasses. "No way. As much as I like him, I'm almost... terrified to do anything about it."

"Why?"

I bit my lip before speaking in a quiet voice. "I guess love is just scary. You always have to fear that they don't feel the same, or what if they get too close then end up breaking you? In addition to that, I'm such a geek. How could he see me in that way?"

Chunja's hand fell on my shoulder and gave it a small squeeze. "I don't think you should worry so much. From hearing what he told you at that party, I think there could be a possibility." She gave me a wink before continuing into the trees.

Maybe she's right... I just don't know if I have the confidence to do anything.

3rd P.O.V

"Should we go and look for them?" Taeil asked the group, seeming a bit nervous. Chunja, Chanmi, and Jungwoo were still missing and it was nearing six in the evening. Vernon had left not too long ago to meet up with some of his friends.

"No one is answering my texts," Johnny muttered while he stared at his phone screen.

"Well, Kun said he was going to be studying in the library all day," Daerin mentioned. "Maybe they stopped by on their way out? We could go ask him."

Johnny nodded and slid his phone back in his pocket. Without saying anymore, everyone started to walk to the library.

"Kun?" Gina leaned a bit toward Jaehyun, who was closest, to ask who Kun was.

"You haven't met him yet, but Kun is in his third year. He hangs out with us, but couldn't make it to the party at Johnny's," Jaehyun explained.

"He's a bit of a nerd," Lucas added in a whisper, which caused Jisoo to let out a short laugh and Jihwan to hit his shoulder.

"Be nice," she warned Lucas, though a smile hinted on her lips. "You guys always pick on him."

"I mean, he's not wrong," Ten chuckled.

As the herd of friends entered the library, it was quite obvious where Kun was seated. He sat at a small table next to a girl who was scrolling through her phone. No one else was in sight.

"Was that a Harry Potter reference?" they heard the girl ask, expressionless with her eyes still glued to her phone.

Kun awkwardly chuckled. "Yeah. Hey, speaking of Harry Potter, do you want to see a magic trick?"

The girl sighed. "Sure." Her answer was loaded with sarcasm.

Kun pulled a stack of playing cards out of his bag and began to shuffle. However, he came to a stop when he spotted his friends approaching the table.

"Kun," Johnny started, "have you seen Chunja, Chanmi, and Jungwoo? Apparently they went to take pictures, but have been missing ever since."

Kun shook his head. "I haven't. Maybe they went out to grab some dinner?"

"If they just went out to grab dinner, they could've easily responded to my texts," Johnny contradicted.

"Dead phones?"

"Doubt it. You know how Chanmi has everything in perfect condition." Johnny sighed, deciding to quickly dial Jungwoo's number. He pressed the phone to his ear and after a few moments of silence, Johnny ended the call. "It rang, but eventually went to voicemail. His phone isn't dead."

"There has to be a reasonable explanation for this." Kun set down the cards and rested his chin in his hands in thought.

"Can I leave now?" the girl asked Kun. Her shoulders hunched and she looked bored out of her mind. "We can get this project over with tomorrow and still have it done early."

"'It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live.'" Kun raised his eyebrows with a proud look.

The girl rolled her eyes as she gathered her things and started to walk out of the library.

"Uh," Kun turned around in her direction, "Albus Dumbledore, The Sorcerer's Stone." He made a 'duh' face and chuckled, just making it seem even more awkward.

She didn't even look back. Kun sighed and turned back to his friends.

"Girl trouble?" Yuta asked, cocking his head to the side.

Kun dropped his pencil on his notebook and fell back against the chair. "Her name is Deiji. We were paired to do this project that she seems to be dreading, but I really like her."

"Damn, that sucks," Ten muttered. "I don't know much about girls... obviously, but I do know that with girls like her, you need to lay off the Harry Potter references."

Kun's head fell forward and into his crossed arms on the table. A low groan was muffled by his sweatshirt sleeves. "I'm hopeless," he mumbled. "But going back to your question from earlier, I don't know where Chunja, Chanmi, and Jungwoo could be."

"Well, could you help us look?" Johnny asked. "I'm hoping it won't take too long. We can ask around campus and meet up later."

"Sure." Kun slowly rose from the table and gathered his stuff.

"Let's just hope they're not in the forest," Haechan scoffed.

"Why?" Kun questioned and gave him a weird look.

The group glanced at each other. Johnny brought in a big breath before speaking, "There's an interesting history behind that forest..."
