30. Howling
"I don't have a dog."
"Then what is that howling?"
"Oh, just my boyfriend."
_____________

Jack hated his life a little right now. His boyfriend and him shared an apartment now, Mark having a hard time adjusting to not being able to be as loud as he wants to. Their land lord already hated them, homophobic old man, and everyone in the apartment complex probably thought they were just having really loud sex half of the time, but really it was Mark mostly howling and making weird werewolf sounds.

Don't get Jack wrong, he absolutely adores Mark and loves him with all of his heart, but Mark can be a pain in the ass sometimes. The whole 'werewolf' thing added to it, always being kind of loud when howling at night. Not like Jack could really talk about loud though, since he practically was screaming whenever he spoke, but he didn't do it during the night when everyone was trying to sleep.

They got their first noise complaint within the first four months of living there, it was a wonder how they hadn't gotten one sooner, and instead of putting it on their door or mailbox, their land lord decided to deliver it personally just to show his distaste for them. Jack was in a cheery mood until he opened the door, finding the man staring back at him with cold eyes.

"Yes, what's wrong?" Jack asked, looking over his shoulder to make sure Mark wasn't walking around the apartment only wearing boxers. He saw Mark in sweatpants and his red flannel getting coffee, and wow thoughts this is not the time.

"There has been howling reported coming from here. Your dog is causing to much noise." The land lord said, the stern and hard tone of it making Jack feel slightly more afraid than originally.

"I don't have a dog." He answered honestly, smiling a little because he hated when people called Mark a dog, even though he is clearly not. Just because he's a werewolf doesn't make him any less human.

Almost as if on cue, footsteps were heard flying towards the study behind Jack, and more howling. Oh, could this get any better? "Then what's that howling?" Clearly the land lord was unamused, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes slightly out of annoyance.

"Oh, just my boyfriend." Jack tried to sound sarcastic, but it seems he didn't do too good of lying. "I'll fix the noise issue. I apologize for this. Thank you, have a nice day." He quickly shut the door, breathing out a sigh of relief, walking towards the study and watching as Mark stared out the window.

"Mark, they want us to keep the noise down. You're being too loud, sweetheart." Jack said, flopping down onto the couch next to Mark. He felt bad about the whole thing, Mark was naturally like this and to have to ask him to quiet down made him hope that soon they'd get married and have enough for a house.

"I'm sorry. I'll try, but you might have to close the shutters at night." Mark admitted with a frown, turning to Jack. "But it's fine. I've been more tired recently anyways." Mark cuddled up next to Jack and Jack had a really hard time deciding if he wanted to stay like this or do something more exciting in bed.

(lol this is late sorry I was busy)
