"The stars remind me of your eyes and the moon... the moon reminds me of your smile. Bright even in the darkness."
____________
Mark smiled as he pulled Jack closer to him, sucking on his hard candy. It was midnight and his parents were probably hoping they didn't die by candy coated razor blades or something. They were currently sitting on the field that goes down into another neighborhood, not sectioned off because it's such a hot spot because it's huge, but a lot of raging parents want it sectioned off because this is also where teenagers make out all the time.
Which is a perfect spot to make out, by the way.
Jack was grinning up at the stars, mumbling something about them too himself since it was too quiet for Mark to hear. Jack learned about stars as a weird hobby, and Mark was more than happy to listen to it, though sometimes he tuned Jack out to look at how absolutely adorable Jack was. Like now.
"....Mark, I asked you what the sky reminds you of, Mark. I said it reminded me of that place with a bunch of lampposts, and of the ocean." Jack said, sighing. Mark felt a bit guilty for not listening but quickly overcame that when he got an idea.
"The stars remind me of your eyes and the moon... the moon reminds me of your smile. Bright even in the darkness." Mark said after he somehow managed to swallow his hard candy down. His smooth voice and sincere tone made Jack melt right away, and he flushed at the words.
"That was way romantic than my answer. Thank you, you sappy shit."
