ASA TEHRANI has spent the last seven and a half wondering about his brother. Asa's brother, Eagan, is a topic ignored in the Tehrani household, Asa's parents disowned Eagan thirteen years ago, Asa was only seven. Asa still kept in contact with his brother, occasionally Eagan would steal Asa from school and they would hang out together at the park or Asa would help is brother with a 'job.' As a child Asa adored his brother but as he got older Asa realised that Eagan was using him as a distraction for whenever he stole.

When flight 828 disappeared, Asa told his parents, his mother grew concerned about her eldest son while his father shut down the discussion of Eagan, missing or not they were not to discuss the thief.

So Asa spent the five and a half years that the plane was missing thinking about his brother, praying silently that somewhere he was alive and making his way home. Asa never forgot about his brother, so to his surprise five and a half years after the plane disappeared, Eagan was back but he seemed to had forgotten all about Asa. He waited for months for his brother to reach out, but it never happened.

Two years later and Asa is still waiting for his brother when he meets Olive Stone, a girl who knows his brother and shares a much different view on him.
