[PREVIOUSLY: Octavia catches her boyfriend Finn in the very act of making out with a girl called Raven. Apparently she's come to Earth to help prove a theory conspired by Abigail Griffin. They need to help save 300 innocent people's lives. But when Raven goes to get her radio, it's gone, and the gang discovers that someone else besides them has been in the vicinity].

"Someone got here before us ... But who?"

A moment of tense, horrified silence met my statement.

"H-how did someone just sneak up and grab the radio without you noticing?" Finn broke the stillness with his demand.

"I - I dunno," Raven flung her arms up in the air. "I - I only woke up about an hour or two ago ... I - er - I think I must've knocked my head against something during the crash. I was out cold for ages."

Finn groaned and raked his hands through his hair. "Dang it! I bet you it's Bellamy! He's been trying so damn hard to make sure we didn't have communication with the Ark ... Do you think he's gonna let a little radio stop him?"

"What about the grounders?" I asked defensively, hoping against hope that my brother wasn't the culprit.

"Do you think they would've just left Raven sitting in there ... alive?" Finn scoffed. "C'mon. If they'd been here, they would've killed her ... Just like they tried to kill Jasper."

I hesitated before conceding, "You're right. We need to find Bellamy."

"Oh yeah, Bellamy, huh? He was the one who shot the chancellor, right?" Raven queried as she tucked the wad of bandages that I'd given her into her back pocket.

"WHAT?" Finn and I yelped in horror.

Raven paused. "Oh ... y-you didn't know that?"

"So that's why he doesn't want the rest of our people to come down? I'm gonna kill him!" I growled as I spun around and stomped away.

"Wait, Octavia, just let him explain himself," Finn called out after me. "Maybe not everything is as bad as it seems?"

"Oh, he's got a heck of a lot of explaining to do; that's for sure!" I yelled over my shoulder.

Tightening my grip around the pack strap that was wrapped around my shoulder, my other hand flitted down to the gun tucked inside my belt. Bellamy was gonna tell me the truth ... even if I had to force him.

The three of us headed back towards the camp. This time it wasn't a leisurely, pleasant stroll in the park, this was a real, fast-paced walk; no stops, no breaks, no nothing. If we were quick enough, we could catch up to Bellamy before he made it back to the drop-ship.

We were only about two kilometres within the vicinity of the camp when I first saw him.

He was near-on sprinting up a steep slope in the hill curved amongst the landscape before him. He was deftly dodging outlying stones and sticks and keeping a careful, wary demeanour about his appearance.

"There he is!" I let out a shout as I pointed towards him. Without waiting for a response from either Finn or Raven, I broke into a run, making a bee-line straight for my brother.

"OCTAVIA!" Finn yelled after me. "WAIT!"

Bellamy, having heard the commotion, whipped around, shocked and confused. "O?" he raised his eyebrows. "W-what are you doing here?"

I skidded to a halt in front of him. I placed my hands on my knees and doubled over, trying to regain my breath.

"O?" Bellamy leaned over to place a hand on my shoulder but the instant his fingers brushed my skin, I reached up and smacked him away.

"What the hell?" he narrowed his eyes at me.

"I thought you were trying to save us! Protect us!" I screamed, right in his face. "Turns out you're nothing but a selfish ass!"

"W-what the ...?" Bellamy shook his head as he stared at me. "What are you saying?"

"What did you do, Bell? To get on that drop-ship?" I demanded, poking him in the chest each time a word escaped from my mouth. "What ... did ... you ... do?"

Bellamy looked over my shoulder towards Finn and Raven, who were rapidly approaching us. "O, I can't talk about that now."

"You shot the chancellor, didn't you?" I snapped. "Didn't you?"

"Who told you that?" Bellamy's eyes riveted towards me.

"Raven, you dumbass," I spat out through gritted teeth. "She just came down from the Ark. She told us everything!"

Bellamy backed away from me, just as Raven and Finn caught up to us.

"Hey Shooter," Raven smirked. "Where's my radio?"

"I don't know what the hell you're talking about," Bellamy plastered a fake smile on his face as he lifted up his hands and prepared to walk away.

"Hey!" Raven leaned forward and grabbed his shoulder, spinning him around to face her. "Where is it?"

"I should've killed you when I had the chance," Bellamy growled as he jerked himself away from Raven's grasp.

"Really?" Raven raised her eyebrows and stepped closer to Bellamy. "Well, I'm right here."

With a snarl of rage, Bellamy grabbed Raven by the throat and slammed her up against a nearby tree.

"Oi!" Finn protested angrily.

"BELLAMY!" I shouted. "LET HER GO!"

Suddenly, Raven whipped out a small blade from her belt and held it to Bellamy's throat. "Where's ... my ... radio?"

Bellamy glowered at her for a full minute before shoving her away.

"You asshole," Finn sneered.

"They're getting ready to kill three hundred people up there, to save oxygen!" I told him in an urgent tone. "And I can guarantee you it won't be council members. It'll be working people, your people!"

"I thought you didn't care about the rest of the Ark," Bellamy rolled his eyes. "Now you want to save them? Make up your mind."

I swallowed hard, trying to control my raging anger. "I'm not completely heartless, Bellamy, unlike someone else I know. Killing three hundred people is a mass murder and you know it! We have to stop them! We have to tell them that we're alive!"

"That's why we need the radio," Raven spoke up. "So, where is it?"

Bellamy didn't respond.

"Huh," I shook my head. "This is why you're taking the wristbands. You want everyone up there to think that we're dead!"

"All you're worried about is saving your own skin," Finn scoffed. "You know that when they come down, they'll kill you."

"Our mother would be ashamed of you," I whispered.

Bellamy stared at me, pain contorting his face. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words would come.

Then, his expression hardened as he set his jaw and shook his head.

"Jaha deserved to die!" Bellamy yelled. "Everyone knows that."

"Yeah, well he's not my favourite person either," Raven countered angrily. "But it's not like I'm gonna go and shoot him for it. Besides, he's not dead."

"W-what?" Bellamy's mouth fell open.

"You're a lousy shot," Raven crossed her arms and glared pointedly at him.

"Wait ... don't you see what this means? You're not a murderer, Bell!" I exclaimed. "You always keep telling me that you'll protect me. You can do that again, by saving three hundred of your people!"

"Where's the radio?" Raven persisted.

"It's too late," Bellamy sighed. "I - I chucked it in the river."

"You idiot!" Raven yelled.

"Shut-up!" Bellamy glared at her. "You would've done the exact same thing if you were in my shoes!"

"Well, I wouldn't be in your shoes because I wouldn't have shot the chancellor in the first place!" she argued, her chocolate brown eyes flashing with fury.

Bellamy made a move as if to start after her but Finn leaped forward and shoved him in the chest.

"Don't even think about it," he hissed.

"Pick up your sorry ass and help us find the damn thing," I growled at Bellamy.

"It'll be destroyed," he shot out. "There's no point."

"There is if I'm involved," Raven huffed. "Not to boast or anything, but I'm the youngest mechanic the Ark has had in over sixty years. Trust me, if anyone can get that thing working, I can. Now, take us to where it is."

Bellamy's shoulders slumped in annoyance and defeat. His eyes wandered up towards the camp that was crested above us. "Shouldn't we get more people in on the search?" he asked.

"Fine!" I raised my hands. "But geez, when Clarke hears this, she's gonna flip."

"Let's go," Finn urged. "We have no time to waste. We have to save three hundred people's lives ... before the end of today."
