Chapter 49: Bullet Wounds

"I-I thought you…. YOU WERE DEAD!" Jungkook shouted with all the pain he had in his heart just rolling into one. Jungkook didn't need Jimin's comfort or guidance at the moment since he was close to losing his mind already. The pain alone caused Jungkook hands to tremble as he carried the silver gun and pointed it to his brother. This wasn't Seung-Woo… This was Jeon Junghyun from the start and now, Jimin realized how much anger shot through Jungkook. Seeing him like this was enough to show Jimin that even one person was enough to show that Jungkook wasn't fully healed. His manipulative and deceiving side came crawling back to him and the poor boy let it in. Embracing it completely.

"S-Six…. Six please! He's your brother don't shoot him! He's here!" Jimin called out. Still holding back on speaking Jungkook's name in case other people were here to back Seung-Woo up. This was done just so Jungkook wouldn't be exposed for his actions and Jimin's name on the other hand, was spoken by Seung-Woo alone. "I-Isn't that what you always wanted? He's not dead…"

"You don't fucking understand! I grieved for many years… Trying to cope with my depression and here he is… In the flesh with no scars on him. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!" Jungkook yelled in pain as Seung-Woo smiled and raised his hands to make Jungkook hold his fire. "Junghyun… How could you? Faking your death in front of your own brother and making everyone miss you at your OWN FUCKING FUNERAL!" Jungkook shouted and stepped closer. Watching the man that was once Seung-Woo, just hide from his true name. Jeon Junghyun. Jimin followed behind his lover in tears and hoped Jungkook wouldn't kill after all their promises, Jimin just hoped Jungkook could find a different way to cope with the pain. "When I saw you die… I thought I'd never be the same… Now, watching you stand alive before me… I wish I could beat you up the same way you faked it!"

"Little brother…" Junghyun mentioned as Jungkook gripped onto his gun and watched him stand in one place. "Have I really caused you so much pain?~"

"You asshole… You're not in your thirties… You're as young as the rest of us! Yoshida Seung-Woo? I knew that name was too off for a Korean." Jungkook bickered and had no thoughts of removing his finger from the trigger. "I should kill you… You did more than cause me pain! YOU RUINED ME! I'M NOT THE SAME ANYMORE BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME HOW SORRY YOU WERE FOR IT!" Jungkook rose his voice and shot right next to the man. Nearly shooting Junghyun's arm from the pain. Instantly, Jungkook loaded the gun once more and walked closer with the gun pointed onto his brother.

"Six… Please…." Jimin sputtered and watched Jungkook grow silent once he heard his Swan speak to him. "Don't kill him… Just talk it out. There could be a misunderstanding!" Jimin fretted and didn't want to see his lover kill. No matter the pain Jungkook was put under after his brother faked his death, Jimin just knew Jungkook would regret killing his own blood at the very end. As Jimin locked his eyes onto Jungkook, he didn't notice when Seokjin crept behind Junghyun and covered his head with a cloth bag that allowed him to breathe… But not to see anything. Seokjin held the man back as they stood under the ledge of the warehouse to avoid having the rain hit the bag and drown Junghyun underneath it. "N-No! Let him talk!" Jimin begged as he watched Jungkook move and aim the gun at his brother.

"STAY OUT OF THIS!" Jungkook snapped at Jimin as he pointed his face to Jimin. Causing Jimin to flinch and feel tears touch his porcelain mask on the inside. "Junghyun… ANSWER ME!" Jungkook urged Junghyun to speak, but the man didn't utter a word. Junghyun was silent as the bag covered over his head until Jungkook shot far ahead to see his older brother flinch in fear. "TELL ME WHY DID YOU DO IT?! WHY DID YOU FAKE YOUR DEATH AND LEFT ME HAUNTED WITH THIS GRIEF?!" No matter how much Jungkook urged the truth, the man was silent until he let out a sigh.

Junghyun hung his head down. Hearing Jungkook like this left him feeling embarrassed… But, never sorry. The man cleared his throat and no tears slid off his face. By there, Seokjin rose the bag from the man's head to look Jungkook in the eyes and tell him; holding his hands behind his back to keep him from running off. Either way, the man didn't give a struggle. Knowing his younger brother held the gun with the nozzle aimed at his head.

"Tell him… Look at him and tell him…" Seokjin hissed to his ear as Jungkook rose his mask over his head to show how puffy his nose and eyes were in the tough rain. However, Junghyun wasn't crying from the regret. The man had no regret in his heart for leaving his family and Jungkook as well.

"I didn't want to deal with the bullshit of carrying the company okay?! The debt… The pain and the suffering I had of guiding everyone when I knew we were going to lose either way! Father would always beat me up about it… But never you. He absolutely loved his little boy! I didn't want to carry out the family business and I couldn't pass it down to you! Father retired and I had to carry it and take it out of debt! ME… NOT HIS PRECIOUS LITTLE BOY!" Hissed Junghyun in anger as Jungkook's eyes deepened into a glare at his older brother while Jimin listened in dismay. "I don't get it… Why did I have to go through the pain and you didn't? Everyone loved you… Didn't they, Six?! But, I never did… I hated you for sticking by me like I was okay when FATHER WAS KILLING ME INSIDE!" Growled the man as Jungkook continued to listen. "It wasn't until I knew death was the only escape… But oh, I didn't deserve death! You all deserve to feel losing me to realize how much pain I'VE BEEN THROUGH!"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Your actions aren't just! You faked your death-"

"Infact, I hired my little assistant Taehyung to play the man in the mask… I was beaten truly… All to fake it to you and the rest was covered. The closed casket… The ambulance and doctors telling you all I didn't make it. But you… After it all, you took it out of debt so easily and I was nothing but the dead guy, huh?! Father gave you everything that was mine and all I had was the company in debt and I was labeled as a failure. So, I changed my name and faked my death as Junghyun. But of course, I wasn't going to let you go off not feeling my pain. Father never hurt you to the point where you felt helpless… I planned to take everyone from you and father… Even taking your little Swan just to upset you. I don't regret any pain I put you in… You deserve all of it…" Claimed Junghyun as he spat onto the ground nearby. "I never loved you but you… Oh you looked up to me and you were just perfect to fake my death around."

"FAKING YOUR DEATH WAS THE WORST THING YOU COULD DO TO ME! You killed me mentally, I broke down every day. Why me? I was innocent to you… I loved and cared about you… I looked up to you. It wasn't my fault father favored me… Your reasoning doesn't make any sense to me!" Jungkook cried and still watched how his brother gave him a disgusted glare. Making the younger feel distant towards the brother he praised all along. "You never told me… What he put you through… I could have helped you! We could have gotten out of this together! However, you didn't want that… You wanted me to suffer… Not father. Turns out your death alone was enough to hurt me… But faking it was enough to kill me. So…" Jungkook whispered and dropped the mask over his face as he loaded the gun once more. "Maybe I should return the favor…."

With that, Seokjin dropped the bag over Junghyun's face as Jimin ran in front of Jungkook to stop him. "Don't do it! Please! Killing is never the answer, you promised me!" Jimin begged as Jungkook raised his hand to move Jimin aside, but Jimin wouldn't move.

"Swan...move… now…" Jungkook hissed. Anger consumed him entirely to the point where he had no grasp of sanity. Jungkook held onto his silver gun as if he was bound to it while his gaze never left his brother's body. Glaring at the bag that covered his face completely.

"This isn't you…" Cried Jimin and quickly gripped onto Jungkook's wrist to hold him back from making a big mistake! Jimin reached over to Jungkook's hand and grabbed him by the wrist where his hand remained glued onto the Silver Ruger Super Redhawk Linebaugh. 500 Gun.

"Go on… listen to your little bitch. Surprisingly, he knows more than you!" Spoke up Junghyun and that alone left Jungkook's blood boiling hotter than before. Making fun of Jimin in front of Jungkook like that, left the Junghyun in the worst position yet.

“Let go!” Jungkook shouted as rain poured through his black attire from his black dyed and silk strands, to his black boots with laces tied together. Jimin stood before him with his mask already drenched in the pouring rain. Droplets seemed to race down to his chin as he held Jungkook back with all his strength.

“What do you mean, let go?! You said you weren't going to hurt anyone! I never expected you out of everyone to try and kill someone!” Jimin cried out of fear as he rose his mask above his face to face his lover. "He's your brother!" Suddenly, Jungkook pointed the gun to Jimin's forehead and this was enough to scare the man into placing back the mask over his face once more. There, the younger with a mask of an Oni; glared at Jimin with the red eyes carved into the mask.

“Well then, isn't today a day of disappointments….” Whispered Jeon Jungkook underneath the mask and pulled Jimin closer to his body drenched in rain. Without any further struggles coming from Jimin, he pointed the gun onto the body that held the bag over his brother's head until… Jimin heard his lover pulled the trigger that had the nozzle aimed at his brother's body. Not his head.  Jungkook held Jimin tight, kissing the side of his cheek as the helpless man began to sob into boyfriend's arms where rain poured over them. He was right, it was a day of disappointments and everything around Jimin fell silent as the older's grip around lover's grew tighter.

The echo of the gunshot was heard from a far distance and silence filled the area. That was until the bell to the warehouse began to ring and the gang members ran out. Meaning that the police officers were on their way to arrest anyone at the crime scene. Seokjin dropped Junghyun's body onto the wet concrete as the bullet wound over his chest, tainted his outfit in crimson blood. Jungkook smiled to himself in relief, raised the mask over his face to kiss Jimin's neck carefully, and nudge Jimin to signal him that they had to go.

         "Come, we have to g-"

"NO! NO, I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITH YOU!" Jimin cried and couldn't dare to see Junghyun's body laying over the pavement. "YOU PROMISED ME… NO MATTER WHAT AND YOU DID IT!" Jimin sobbed as he shoved Jungkook's body away. By there, police sirens could be heard from a far distance that slowly began to approach them. Only now, Jimin knew he didn't want to be anywhere near the gang anymore. Even affiliated as well. Jimin ripped the porcelain mask of the kitsune away from his face and suddenly dropped it onto the ground where he continuously stomped onto it to break the mask into pieces. "I'd rather get turned in instead of escaping with you! I don't want to be anywhere near you! YOU KILLED HIM!"

"J-Jimin you don't know how it feels! YOU DON'T KNOW THE PAIN HE CAUSED ME!" Jungkook cried and grabbed onto Jimin's arm. "We have to go! The police-"

"No one deserves death…" Jimin hissed and shoved Jungkook's hand away.

"Boss! The police!" Shouted Seokjin as other gang members left. But, not Jungkook. Not without his Swan. With that, Jungkook tried to get Jimin, but as soon as the police cars were heading their way, Jimin stood at the center and raised his both hands to surrender. Wanting to teach Jungkook the consequences by taking the crime onto himself. Jungkook knew he had to leave yet, leaving Jimin was hard enough for him; especially since he knew Jimin was going to pay the price for shooting Junghyun when he was always innocent.

Jungkook took one last attempt to take Jimin, but Jimin refused and shoved Jungkook back once more. It was now obvious Jimin no longer wanted Jungkook after killing a man and it didn't affect the young man at all. But, it did to Jimin… Jungkook had to think fast. He didn't want Jimin to take all the consequences of something he didn't do. Jungkook could only imagine the many people hating Jimin for doing such a thing and since the police were coming as soon as possible, Jungkook needed to make Jimin the victim before the police officers came to arrest his Swan and blame him for everything.

"If I don't act quick… Everyone will think he killed a man and he will be a disgrace to everyone…" Jungkook thought as he lowered the mask over his face once more and was able to think of something quickly. Jungkook loaded the gun with regret and aimed it at Jimin; aiming at a place to hurt him, but not kill him. Jungkook aimed the gun at Jimin's shoulder as a tear escaped his eyes.

"Jimin… My Swan....forgive me…" Jungkook whispered and with that, Jimin teared up and right when he looked back, Jungkook shot Jimin through the shoulder and shot his right calf to make it look believable. With that, Jungkook ran off with all he could even if he was crying in pain for hurting Jimin like this. Leaving Jimin to drop onto the ground as he gasped over the cold and wet pavement from the pain of his bullet wounds briefly after.
