Chapter 45: Beyond All Thoughts

The following week was still and calm. Jimin felt happier just knowing Jungkook had therapy with his new therapist and the man looked less tense than he did before. Jungkook walked around with a smile on his face and this left Jimin believing that the toxic side he had to himself before, was slowly diminishing from his life. Jimin enjoyed seeing Jungkook become more playful even if he had a long and hard day of work. The man sat in his office as Peanut; the Calico Kitten, walked around with a black collar around his neck with a bow tie at the center along with a silver bell that chimed each time Peanut moved.

"Peanut, come here…" Jimin called the kitten and watched how Peanut crawled around the spacious room with the bell chiming with every paw that hit the floor. "Peanut…" Called the man once more as he finally pulled his gaze away from the laptop and giggled just to see the kitten staring at him. "When I call you, I want you to come to me." Giggled the man as he then got up and walked over to the kitten. "No work tomorrow… I feel so relieved. We'll be with Jungkook and I can't wait to see him after a week's work of therapy. I've been texting Jungkook and calling him every night. He's doing so well. We'll be back at his place by tonight!" Jimin spoke to the cat as if Peanut could reply; even if the cat couldn't, Jimin felt happier just talking at least to something before him.

Jimin crouched over the ground and ran his hands through Peanut's fur just to see his kitten turn over on its back and raise it's paws as if he was playing around with Jimin's hands. Jimin giggled as he looked down at Peanut and all was fine until… The door to his office was opened by the same elderly lady that used to open the door for Taehyung. But, now… Taehyung hasn't shown up for the past week. Only now, the only guest that visited Jimin that afternoon was Mr. Yoshida himself.

The man stepped in with a light blue dress shirt hidden underneath a black fabric coat. Along with this, a white tie sat over the collar to the dress shirt. Fitting so well with his black slacks and matching black shoes that seemed to gleam as if it was just freshly polished. The man's figure carried such a well-sculpted posture. He smiled as if nothing filled his mind and his round eyes made his sharp eyebrows show off more. His hair was perfectly combed back and the right side to his bangs fell forward so perfectly. The look was enough to kill, but Jimin knew this man too well to see how ugly he was skin deep.

"Mr. Park." Spoke Mr. Yoshida as he took out a rose from his coat. "Pleasure to see you after so long. Our campaign has brought in a so much spotlight and ratings. I can see liquors sell fast and outfits too. Won't you say so as well?" Asked the tall man. Jimin just couldn't pry his eyes away from the disgusting man. Somehow, he smiled as if he never harmed Taehyung even if it was all Jimin read from his gaze. This was Taehyung's abuser and those words were enough to make Jimin's blood boil.

"Right." Jimin answered and picked up his kitten just to stare at the man with an unsatisfying glare. Jimin deepened his stare at the rose Seung-Woo held out for Jimin… But, Jimin refused to accept. "What do you want?"

"Well.." Seung-Woo spoke and took a pause before approaching the desk and setting the rose within the pencil cup. "First let me say, you have a lovely cat with you." Added the man as the kitten was only playing and biting on Jimin's black tie over his white dress shirt. "Let me just… Get to the point here. Taehyung, has told me things about you and what you said about me. I understand you and appreciate your concerns for him… But, I don't hurt my assistant."

"So you think you can come here and lie to me that easily? Hoping that would be enough to silence me? This isn't right… what do you get out of hurting Taehyung? I could never trust a man like you or have any respect for one…" Jimin fired. Looking down at the kitten just to kiss the head of Peanut's fur. "You try so hard to separate Jungkook and I… You almost got what you wanted but I knew, Jungkook didn't act that way. Only you would." Jimin added as he noticed the man walk up to face Jimin, but this caused the man to step back. "You're a nice man… We could have been friends or business partners but seeing the way you hurt Taehyung, I just think you need help and you need to get punished for that." Jimin found himself talking as if he was addressing Jungkook. He told Seung-Woo things as if he spoke to Jungkook and only now, Jimin noticed how similar the two were in his head.

"Jimin, Taehyung never told me who hurts him. The first thing people would think is if I hurt him… But I don't! You see… Taehyung means the world to me." Added the man as he held his hand out to shake with Jimin's. "We can be friends, can't we? I don't hurt Taehyung… You could see all the security footage in my building and you will see that I would never hurt Taehyung like that. I love him and he loves me. There's no way I would use his feelings against him just to hurt him." Every word that flew from Seung-Woo's lips left Jimin standing speechless. Jimin couldn't trust the man and it left Jimin believing that maybe he hid many things up his sleeve. Jimin just knew he had to get the man out of his sight. Being alone with him only scared him the most.

"I know you mean well… But, Taehyung-"

"Taehyung will be fine… He keeps his abuser a secret from me too! I ask him about it but he never wants to confess. Maybe, he doesn't want help… He screams at me telling me that he killed a man, that he knows a guy… Just to scare me. I want to fire him, but I can't leave him alone. I don't want him to be alone." Seung-Woo knew how to play his words. On the other hand, this left Jimin confused. He stood there and thought back at how he watched Taehyung crying and refusing comfort. Even then, Jimin noticed how Taehyung clung to his boss and still praised him even through the accusations no matter what. Jimin felt there was something wrong but finally raised his hand to shake with Seung-Woo's.

"I think the two of you should work this out and talk. I have no place in this… But don't let him fight this alone. Get him help… File this for him so he would be safe." Jimin mentioned and shook the man's hand before pulling it back and caressing Peanut's fur. Causing him to Purr and meow.

"You have my word. Ah, it feels better to clear things up between us. Let's discuss about the campaign soon." Mentioned Seung-Woo before backing up and buttoning his coat up before leaving. "I'll see you when I can." With that, the man left as Jimin stood there. Confused on what to think. He sensed the man had good intentions but, he just couldn't believe it.

"If only… I could see Taehyung one more time… I haven't heard from him in so long." Jimin worried and walked with his kitten to the desk before sitting and watching time pass them by. After Jimin was done tending to calls and scheduling meetings for his father, he had Peanut in a carrier where Jimin had the strap over his shoulder and locked onto the red bag. Jimin was alone all week at home since his brother and father went abroad to join with his mother and handle business. Jimin of course, was left behind to schedule abroad meetings for his father and fill his queue until he was done with the trip. "Let's go home and get something to eat first… Then we can go see Jungkook." Mentioned Jimin and set Peanut in the passengers seat where he strapped the carrier to the seat with a seatbelt.

Before Jimin could pull out of the driveway, he received a call from Jungkook and happily answered it as he hooked the call into the Bluetooth speaker of the car. Within seconds, Jimin answered Jungkook's call and smiled just hearing his voice. "Hi, Jungkookie!" Jimin spoke happily as he heard Peanut meow.

"Jimin, baby I can't wait to see you… let's go out and have a drink tonight." Jungkook mentioned as Jimin scoffed at the thought and began to drive out of the parking lot of the building.

"You want to go drink?" Jimin asked. Almost feeling as if Jungkook was smiling. "I don't want to wait long to see you. Come to my house. My brother and father aren't home. I don't want to wait until the night. I want to hear about your experience with the therapist. Let's talk face to face." Jimin suggested and came to a stop at a stop light where his eyes were kept locked onto the road.

"I missed you this whole week. I bet it must be stressful for you at work. Let's meet at your place right now. Later, we can drink at a restaurant. I'll save the rest of our conversation for later." Jungkook promised and said his goodbyes before Jimin decided to hand up the short call. Today, Jimin didn't have it in him to update Jungkook on the situation with Taehyung and Seung-Woo. The couple had the best week without arguing, without thinking something's up, without feeling worries. Jimin was proud knowing this was the best week and couldn't wait to spend the weekend with Jungkook after long hours of work.

Sooner or later, Jimin reached his house and coincidentally noticed Jungkook driving down the street to reach Jimin's house. Jungkook has never seen the inside of Jimin's house, yet he knew the location so well ever since he dropped Jimin off after the first night they touched after the club. Jimin was excited to see Jungkook and show him around without his brother and father in the way. As Jimin stepped out of his parked car, he took the carrier out and walked to the porch of his lovely family home where Jungkook soon followed after.

When Jimin took a look back after unlocking the house with his own set of keys, he smiled just seeing Jungkook and set the carrier down just to hug the younger. Jungkook carried such a gleeful and pure aura; his outfit was a usual white dress shirt, tucked into his blue denim jeans, and yellow timberland as well. Jungkook dropped his car keys and picked Jimin up just to spin him around in his arms. The boy always missed his swan after a week of work and couldn't wait to finally see him. "I missed my Swan~" Jungkook cooed and showered Jimin with kisses along his neck and jaw. "My baby…"

"Ah, Jungkookie… you seem so different… So better and happy! I'm proud of you." Jimin added as Jungkook finally placed him back onto the ground before Jimin wrapped his arms around his lover once more to kiss him. "I love you so much! Tell me all about it...okay? Don't leave anything out." Assured the man as Jungkook nodded his head and followed Jimin inside the house. Jungkook's eyes explored the inside of the house as he set Peanut free from the carrier. Smiling at Jimin's house as Peanut followed Jimin to the kitchen just so he could be fed for the late afternoon. That was soon going to fall into the evening.

Jungkook did seem different. He was happier and viewed things differently. For once Jimin looked to the side and found a different person in Jungkook. Finding the side Jimin knew he was in love with from the very start. No matter what, Jimin couldn't remember the old Jungkook… How scary he was when he showed his dark side but now, this was all Jungkook now. Showing his normal self and no longer clinging onto revenge even if he still needed a little more work in therapy. Jeon Jungkook was perfectly fine now…

"Perfectly fine? I wish it was that simple for him… I regret believing he has changed. But deep down, my bet would be broken the next day… he was not what I thought… He was beyond his calm image."
