Chapter 30: A Charming Significance
Later on to the day, Jimin reached Jungkook's house by stopping by his own place to take his car and drive off to Jungkook's home. Knowing well that he wouldn't survive a long trip over to Jungkook's house by walking and taking cabs to reach the place. Jimin soon parked his car along the driveway to Jungkook's home and stepped out. The day was reaching towards a late evening as clouds covered the low sun soon after the mid day. Jimin spent half of his day throughout the strong thunderstorm, taking on the mission that had a big effect on him. Jimin was still tired and let alone, his stomach was empty.
Jimin arrived at the house where the front door was unlocked. "That idiot… He doesn't know how to lock doors now?" Jimin hissed to himself as he walked inside and scanned across the silent and blue-lit living room where the fish swam in the aquarium. "Jungkook? Jungkook!" Jimin called out, rushing up the stairs with all the energy he had to tell Jungkook about his first mission and how successful it truly was. Jimin went to the room, but Jungkook wasn't there; his eyes gazed out of the window to look at the backyard where the pool was, but Jungkook still wasn't there. The pool just had the lid right over it completely and the torches weren't lit at the moment. "He must be in his office, working. Oh that stubborn boy… I tell him to rest, then he goes to work." Jimin thought as he noticed the office door slightly opened.
Just then, Jimin pushed the door open to see Jungkook standing in front of the printer like a child. Printing files for work as he had his bandages wrapped around his shoulder and his arm was still kept in a sling. The younger only wore his black joggers along with his white house slides. Exposing his muscles and tattoos; of course, Jungkook hasn't even dared to put on a shirt ever since he was wrapped in bandages, yet he was able to shower successfully. Jungkook turned his head to the side and noticed Jimin standing by the doorway with a labored smile. Happy to see Jungkook even after a long day.
"How was the mission, baby?" Asked Jungkook as he smiled and picked the papers up into his hands and set them to the desk carefully before facing Jimin once more. "Are you just going to stand there or are you going to give me a kiss?"
Jimin giggled after and rushed over to Jungkook. Bringing him into a big hug and a kiss over the lips. Causing Jungkook to smile into it as well. "Happy?" Whispered Jimin into a question and watched Jungkook nod his head so innocently. Just watching Jungkook like this, made Jimin think back at what Seokjin mentioned about the anonymous side to Jeon Jungkook himself. It made no sense to Jimin; he looked at Jungkook and all he found was the raw and normal behavior he always displayed. There seemed to be no trace of the other side to him… At least, not yet.
"How was your first day? Tell me all about it." Jungkook spoke calmly as Jimin was still kept in his arms.
"First, stop doing your work and sit down for a moment. You're supposed to be resting, Jungkook." Whispered Jimin as the younger walked back until he sat onto the leather couch so suddenly. Jimin then climbed over Jungkook's lap and sat down. Caressing Jungkook's face carefully before he could tell him about his day. "Today was long. The mission took up all of my energy and I didn't even eat anything today! Yet, I don't feel hungry. It was a complete success, though. I love the adrenaline and the rush! At first, I didn't want to pick up the gun but then, I had no other choice… I wasn't going to leave anyone behind and I was sure to shoot the officers on the legs or on the arms. Not really wanting to kill them at all. I shot the wheels and windshields to their cars and made them fall back from following Seokjin and I! You have an amazing gang, Jungkook." Jimin's eyes lit up just talking about the first mission. Pressing his head against Jungkook's chest happily.
"Our gang… Not only mine now. I'm glad you had such an amazing day. Eventually, you'll be able to go back to them once you're able to conduct a mission. I'll show you how to plan one and you'll be doing it on your own like a true gang leader. We handle these on our own of course, we just need the gang to go on and take action. As I'm healing, I'll have you lead them until my shoulder recovers so, you'll have more time to spend with them. Please be very careful, okay?" Jungkook assured and rolled Jimin's pink hair back carefully. "Why don't we order something? It came to my attention that we barely eat anything everyday and it's bad for us. We should be eating at least three meals a day. Not starving and barely having the hunger to eat. That's a bad sign." Jungkook mentioned as Jimin nodded his head while still pressing his head against Jungkook's chest. Listening to him and thinking. "I'll order us something. I would cook but my arm has to stay in this position and-"
"No, I'll cook. I know how to and ordering food every now and then isn't healthy." Jimin giggled and faced Jungkook. Cupping his face carefully and pressing his forehead against his.
"I can order something healthy. If you cook right now, you might faint since you didn't eat anything." Jungkook stated. However, as Jimin was about to pull away to take matters into his own hands, Jungkook wrapped his free arm around Jimin's small waist and held him close. "Stay…"
"Ah, Jungkook! You have a fridge with so much ingredients, yet you want to sit here and order food I can easily make!" Jimin giggled as Jungkook held him against his body tighter. "You control freak~" The adoring and youthful sounds to Jimin's giggles left Jungkook smiling as he pressed his forehead against Jimin's. "I'll let you order something but this is the last time. We could cook together and that's it!"
"Of course you would boss me around, Swan~ what would I do without you?" Jungkook whispered those caring words to Jimin as he took his phone out from his pocket to set in the order for them to eat. "You're oddly quiet today… What's on your mind?" The dominant asked as his gaze was still locked onto the screen. "Tell me what you're thinking about so I can make room to think about it too."
"I just wonder… what's the gang initiation? Shouldn't I go through it too? I want to be equal with everyone in the gang and I don't want to feel as if I'm way more special. They might hate that I join without any requirements and was instantly boosted to the top!" The man worried as Jungkook only nodded his head and kept scrolling through the meals to choose from. "Can… I do the gang initiation… Now?" Jimin wondered. Tilting his head to catch Jungkook's gaze. "What is it?" Inside, Jimin already knew what it was but, he only wanted to see if Jungkook was going to change it up if that meant hurting Jimin just to join a gang he was already in.
"It's nothing. You're already in, Baby. Don't need to worry about it now. You have an advantage." Jungkook answered but, that only left Jimin to refuse it completely.
"I want to get the same initiation as anyone else! Just because I'm with you… doesn't mean I get double standards. It's not fair to everyone else." Jimin pushed forward until Jungkook took a moment. Holding up his index finger to make Jimin wait longer until he ordered the meals for the two.
"The gang initiation is to get a tattoo… But I don't want you to get one. Your skin is too sensitive and precious. I don't want to taint it with any ink. It's enough that my body is filled with it, I-"
"I want one…" Jimin answered as Jungkook exhaled and caressed Jimin's face. "I've never had a tattoo before and I don't know how it feels to get one but… I would like to try!" Jungkook noticed Jimin's attempts to be treated like anyone else in the gang and Jungkook appreciated Jimin's effort to do so. It was like Jimin finally found where he belonged and that was in the gang. No where else.
"You did realize I'll have to give you one. So, if you cry saying it hurts, don't expect me to pull back, alright?" Jungkook asked as Jimin thought for a second. "Alright?"
"Alright… Let's do it now! Where will you put it?"
"You get to choose where and what. But, by the tattoo I have to put the signature number of mine since I'm the leader. That will be the number six. Everyone has that number in whatever place they wanted their tattoo." Jungkook told Jimin and with that, Jimin began to wonder where he wanted his tattoo to be placed. "I'll get my cart, stay on the couch and I'll be back." Jungkook ordered. Making Jimin wait patiently on the couch like a puppy waiting for it's owner. Jimin began to think of where to put his first tattoo and what should it be.
After a good while of thinking, Jungkook stepped back in, pushing a cart he had in his room within the dresser. This cart was folded up and the items for the tattoo was kept in a briefcase just underneath his bed. Always kept clean with a plastic bottle of alcohol to clean the needles that bite down on the skin to design in ink. The cart carried different colors of ink and needles contained in slot containers to keep them clean. Jungkook was very sanitized when it came to things like these.
"Alright. What will it be and where?" Asked Jungkook as Jimin smiled to himself before taking off his shirt to reveal his exposed torso after. "Remember, you should try choosing a small tattoo since it's your first-"
"I want a Swan!" Jimin added as he turned around over the couch, getting on his knees and facing the back of the leather couch. "A swan tattoo… Make it big and have it fall along my spine." Jimin continued as Jungkook's eyes scanned Jimin's petite body and scoffed into a smile.
"Whatever you wish… Don't say I didn't warn you." Jungkook added as he leaned in and gave Jimin a kiss on his back carefully. "I'm not going to do it so suddenly, Jimin. I need to do a stencil on the transfer paper and then I set it on your skin. I'll design the tattoo and you'll tell me if you like it, okay?" Jungkook asked as Jimin turned around and dropped onto the couch to smile and nod his head. After a while of patiently waiting, Jungkook designed the stencil onto the tattoo transfer paper and after that, The younger placed on the latex gloves before he rubbed Jimin's back with alcohol to clean the area. "Do you want to see the design before I put it on your back?" Jungkook asked as Jimin shook his head. "What do you mean no?"
"Surprise me…" Jimin giggled as he hugged one of the throw pillows over the couch. With that, Jungkook applied the long transfer paper over Jimin's back as the design fell along his spine.
"You exaggerated your first tattoo… You'll regret the pain." Jungkook spoke softly as the design stuck along Jimin's pale back. "...But… A swan is such a great choice. I love the idea for the tattoo. Loyalty, love, the ability to change… It can mean so much." Jungkook spoke gently as Jimin blushed just hearing Jungkook's gentle voice. "The reason why I call you my Swan is because you're beautiful like one… Pale and pure to everything like the white feathers to a swan. They can only have one partner for their entire life… just like the two of us… If one of us dies or leaves the other, one of us could die of a broken heart. Just like a swan… Well, that's how I interpret it." Jungkook spoke carefully as he looked up at Jimin's pale body in silence. "Which means… I can't… live without you… that's the charming significance about the swan and us."
Jimin kept those words in his mind as the two spent hours in designing the tattoo. Jimin was in pain since he had to endure the needle biting into the skin on his back and of course, they had to take breaks along the way to eat the meal they ordered which was two bowls of beef soup with rice as well. Within the boiled beef set into the hot soup, there were steamed vegetables along with rice as a side bowl. After the meal, they worked on the tattoo once more. Eventually, they were soon finished hours later and Jungkook just took a step back to look at the design before thinking of putting the number six underneath it.
"Done." Jungkook called out after hours as he pulled out his phone to take a picture of the design to show Jimin. Admiring the view of the swan he designed for Jimin as his first. The Swan; holding such a charming significance to the couple already.
