Chapter 29: The Lonely Lucifer

"W-WE DID IT!" Jimin cheered happily as he began to giggle and hug Seokjin's body close. "We lost them!" Jimin cheered gleefully and heard the laughs of the man riding the motorcycle with him. It seems that only now, Jimin's bond with Seokjin grew stronger and they were able to bond over the mission entirely. Very soon, Seokjin pulled up by the base garage where he parked the motorcycle along with the rest. However, only a few was around since the rest of the members were still split up and losing the cops chasing their tails. Jimin loved the mission greatly and admired the adrenaline so suddenly.

"We did great for our first mission with you, Boss." Seokjin added before he set the motorcycle to stand against the wall to the grim garage. The garage was wide, grey paint was coated over every inch of the walls, and the smell of gasoline and oil seemed to mix in Jimin's nose. "Don't worry about the others, they must be trying to shake the cops off. They'll bring the money in after."

"That was amazing. I never thought I would be able to do things like that! It scared me so much to the point where fear raced through my blood! I only get this feeling on rollercoasters. It was fast too!" Jimin continued to talk as he took off his mask and followed alongside Seokjin back into the main building at the base.

"I was surprised once you picked the gun up and managed to shoot at the windshields! Let alone, you shot the wheels so suddenly! You really wowed me at the end. Please, call me Jin." Seokjin stated happily as he took the two sacks filled with wons out of the sides of the motorcycle. Designed to carry inventory within the small drawers to the motorcycle. "Come on, let's sit at my office while we wait for them."

Jimin looked around as Jin walked forward. Leading Jimin to a room far up stairs. Eventually, Seokjin turned and reached the room after a while and removed the hamster mask from over his face. "Six's office is over there… But he keeps it locked all the time." Jin pointed out and turned the door open to his office; dragging the sack of wons. Inside, the office was vacant and all that was inside was the lonesome, wooden, desk along with a computer sitting over it. There were files and a singular leather chair, but that's all there was to the room. "I just got this office, you will be sharing with Six since the two of you are our leaders and you are in a relationship. I'm the commander… Well, the third wheel to this trio."

"You really do hold a special place to this gang. Everyone seems afraid of you…"

"Afraid of me? Ah, I feel like a queen now. That's… Unbeliebubble!" Laughed the older. "I guess I do have the power to. All in all, I'm not a scary guy. I get scary when I want to but overall, I'm a kind guy. I'm like a mother to everyone in here!" Jin mentioned and made his way over to his leather chair and sat behind his computer. Setting the stacks of wons down so he could count them later on today. "Hey! Do you want to hear a joke?"

"Oh… Uh, sure?" Jimin replied as Jin started to give such an amusing smile. Laughing to himself before he could even form a sentence on what to say.

What do you call an alligator in a vest…" Jin asked as Jimin began to smile just seeing Seokjin's attempt to silence his laughter. "An INVESTIGATOR!" Laughed Jin and caused Jimin to giggle and cover his own face. "What do you call a pig that does karate? a PORK CHOP!" The older man had a laugh sounding as if the windshield of the car was being wiped repeatedly.

"Stop it! What's wrong with you?!" Jimin laughed heavily and tried to grasp his breath. "The way you say it makes me laugh like this!" Jimin giggled and crouched as he caught his breath. "Ah, that was torture.."

"Honestly, you're the only one who laughs at my jokes. Six really has a wonderful man like you." Seokjin mentioned and looked down at Jimin who was on the ground. "Ever since you came into his life, he's never been happier! And… More calmer than he was before…" Jin spoke as if Jungkook was such a troublesome child and he was the disappointed guardian. These words alone made Jimin stand up and grow curious on what Jin meant.

"Before? The way those words rolled off Jimin's tongue left him worried at the questioned tone he put after. "Was there something wrong with him before?" Asked Jimin as Jin blinked and looked down at the files before him.

"W-Well… You're going to have to promise me you won't tell anyone about this… Not even Six. Don't even think about telling him I told you all about this." Seokjin warned Jimin and watched the younger stand there in concern. "Alright… So, Six… As known as Jeon Jungkook… Is a very weird boy. I joined the first generation to his gang and I've seen him grow. I've seen him from the start of this and until now. But I have to say… He's never been this calm. Gang members left the gang at times because he was unbearable. He was off and it began to bother many so they spread rumors about him. Calling him the devil… Lucifer himself. Jungkook had issues with his gang at first. He was strict for the most part and this caused issues for many other members. I felt bad for him at times. The boy had to bear with his brother getting murdered in front of him and now he had to go through the anxiety of potentially losing his team or having them go against him."

Seokjin explained how the rumors and bad reputation surfaced for the businessman that had his hand hovering all over South Korea. Jimin couldn't seem to understand how others began to dislike Jungkook since he's been through enough pain before. "Don't they understand that Jungkook had a traumatic experience? Of course he won't come off so lightly. He was angry and all he thought of was revenge. That was his strong desire."

"A strong desire that haunted him and controlled him like a puppet. I've never seen him smile… Or even laugh when I would make the gang happy. He was strict. The punishments were gore or a cut to the arm where we let the blood flow even for the slightest things. 'Don't be one second late' 'keep up' 'no sleeping on the job' 'if you get caught, it's not my fault you were weak.' Those tough words Jungkook gave his gang and the initiations back then were painful. We had to get a bullet to the shoulder and he'll count the seconds of our pain tolerance. I had an hour of the pain until he went on to test others. He shot the bullet and made us strong as his first members and I see that. I see it was tough love, but everyone else just didn't like his bad behavior. We had to let many go for trying to overthrow Jungkook or try to beat him up, and teach him a lesson." Confessed the older as Jimin was still speechless for the most part.

"He was tough back then… But what did the members expect? A happy life in a gang? Even if you all have good intentions in the gang now, you-"

"Back then it was all about stealing and building up his empire." Seokjin suddenly spoke out and instantly covered his mouth so suddenly. "Uh… I mean, that's what everyone thought it was.. About killing and stealing! But yes. It has always been about supporting the poor!" Jin tried to recover from what he said as Jimin tilted his head to the side. "A-Ah… Six will kill me!'

"But that was before… Right? It doesn't matter now. You all are doing good. The past is the past. Jungkook is such a good man now. He doesn't torture the gang, does he?"

"No… he doesn't. Gang initiations now are just tattoos of what we'd choose. I chose a dove." Seokjin mentioned to change the conversation as he let out a chuckle. "Maybe when you get home, he'll ask you if you'd like one. Since you're his lover, it would be an option for you."

"Why… Did you stay even if he gave you all hell?" Inquired the curious younger as Jin only shrugged and looked down for a second.

"I wasn't scared to leave him at all… I wanted to, but then I worried. Jungkook was such a young boy. He didn't know any better, so I stayed to raise him. He was still a teenager and I of course, was in my early twenties. What did I know about raising a young teen? I knew nothing. So I watched over him. I talked to him and was able to guide him to the right even if he didn't want to go to his family. No matter how long it took at the very end. I'm his close friend in here and I know how long he's been unhappy. Even then, I realized that he's been such an off boy. He gives eerie feelings… Bone-chilling words and if you haven't seen this side of him, then you have yet to see all of him. Jimin, you don't know what you got yourself into. What part of him did you fall in love with, anyway?" Jin asked as if Jungkook had many parts to him entirely.

"Jungkook is charming… I fell for the side he never wanted to show. Just like the moon hides the dark side of itself; So did Jungkook. I don't know why everyone seems to label him as a bad person. He's just misunderstood. I know the real him. He's perfect to me and-"

"Jimin..." Seokjin called out with a slight sigh. "Don't you ever think he acts like that just so he could show you he's a good man? You haven't seen the dark side of him; that's the side he hides from you. Not the good. The other side of him… That's what everyone means by calling him Lucifer and all those other evil names. But, oh what a Lonely Lucifer… that side of him is beyond compare. He's jealous… He acts cold and I think that only spawned inside him as soon as he turned his grief into revenge. That's what made him that way. Yet, you came around and you changed his life altogether. You must be the cause of his euphoria." Euphoria; those words hit Jimin like a baseball to a bat. It made sense Jungkook seemed so perfect since he tried his best to hide his anger from his lover. That's how Jimin knew how much Jungkook adored him even to the end of the earth!

Jimin was flattered and blushed just hearing Seokjin speak so wisely even if he cracked jokes with weird puns followed after. The young, pink-haired, man enjoyed everyone in the gang and loved being a boss even more. Park Jimin pondered the thought of Jungkook seeing him as a cause of happiness and Jimin just couldn't think of anything else. Jungkook was madly in love with the older and Jimin almost feared knowing what would happen if he was to ever get his Jungkook upset with him.

"I've said enough. That's all I can tell you about Jungkook… I just don't want you telling him we had this conversation; I don't know what he could do to me if he knew I talked behind his back!" Fretted the older as Jimin only assured him with a gentle pat on his back.

"Nothing bad will happen to you, Seokjin. I promise. I'll be going now… I have to go back to my Jungkookie. He still can't move the arm where I dislocated his shoulder, since he's supposed to be resting." Jimin mentioned as he then began to take off his leather coat. "I'll change in the closet and I'll be on my way once the rain clears up."

Seokjin stood up; feeling bad for Jimin and just remained silent. Jin watched the man approach the door until he felt a need to say something before he goes. "Jimin… Please take care of yourself… We'll need you for more missions soon and, please… be careful with Jungkook." Warned Kim Seokjin while Jimin only smiled and gave him a nod before leaving.

Why…
Why didn't I take his word for it?
