Chapter 20: No Going Back
Jimin eyed the mask and tilted his head in silence. His gaze admired the Kitsune mask and then looked at Jungkook right after. “When is the first mission?” Jimin asked as Jungkook only shrugged his undamaged shoulder. The leader himself didn't know when, but he stood there and assured Jimin that there will be a new one soon with Jimin to be included entirely. “I wonder what we'll do first… are we going to rob? How about a bank?! Who are the people we'll give it too? Where are the poor people you guys give to?”
“Oh you ask so much questions, My Swan. You'll see very soon.” Jungkook chuckled and walked back to his wooden desk to drop onto his black leather office seat. “I need to review some sales. You can go out and watch TV in the living room or go to the pool if you'd like.” Jungkook mentioned as Jimin looked around the office and stuffed his hands into his own pockets. “Don't even try to distract me either. I need to get this out of the way so I can have more time with you.” Jungkook told Jimin and rose his free hand to the mouse over the PC to work and write as well. Leaving the room in silence as the sounds of him passing through papers echoed.
Jimin watched Jungkook fix glasses over his eyes as he rested his head against the palm of his hand. Reading over a proposal before he fixed his eyes over Jimin's once more. “Jungkook…” Jimin whispered as Jungkook smiled and rose his brows.
“What is it, my love?” Jungkook asked as Jimin walked towards Jungkook and sat over his lap to look at his work like a child. “I need to do my work, you really do love to distract me~”
“How do you expect to work when you have your shoulder like this? Sure, you're on painkillers… But that doesn't mean you can work that arm of yours. Go to bed and I'll take care of you~” Jimin whispered to Jungkook's ear as the younger only smiled and looked away, moving his free hand to write over the proposal and tilt his head to see what he was writing. “Jungkook!”
“Did you forget I have one of the biggest companies here in South Korea? I have a lot of proposals being sent to me and my team so I have to approve of them and make phone calls. I don't have time to rest, Jimin.”
“Alright…” Jimin replied and finally left Jungkook alone. Jimin laid over the three-seater couch as he watched Jungkook's every move. He didn't want Jungkook to stress over anything and just wanted his lover to relax for once since he was injured. But nothing could stop Jungkook's persistence on doing what he pleased. As Jimin eyed Jungkook longer, he then let out a sigh and caught Jungkook's attention by there.
“Why don't you order us something to eat?” Jungkook asked and opened the drawer to his desk to then take out his wallet. In seconds, Jungkook took out his black card; the master credit card that went to those that received so much income each year. “Here. Order it with this.” Jungkook held up the card and left Jimin surprised. He has only seen the similar credit card in his father's possession and was very envious. Jimin approached Jungkook and sat over his lap once more and set the black card down before taking his phone out to order something to eat.
“I keep forgetting you're a chairman and it catches me off guard at times.” Jimin giggled and began to look around for meals to order from as Jungkook still worked and rested his chin over Jimin's shoulder carefully to keep an eye at what he typed into the emails he had to send out to his team.
While Jungkook was typing with one hand, Jimin was placing orders of lettuce wraps, fried chicken with sesame seeds sprinkled over the chicken served with soy sauce as it fried. Along with the lettuce wraps and fried chicken, there were sidebowls of Kimchi to go with it along with two cold liters of coca-cola to wash it down. “Is this okay?” Jimin asked as Jungkook then looked into the phone and then looked at Jimin once more.
“Add in two orders of ramen. But, make sure to get small bowls for it since it is a lot if you choose the pot size.” Jungkook included as he continued to do his work. Jimin then stood up and set the order before picking Jungkook's card up and began to put in the numbers to finalize the order.
“Done. I'll wait in the living room.” Jimin stated and walked out of the office to wait for the delivery. Jungkook then moved his seat forward and continued to work peacefully once Jimin left. The man wandered around the house as he reached the first floor to then approach the living room. Jimin looked at the aquarium of fishes and then made his way over to the tank to feed them after. As Jimin crouched down to reach the food for the fishes, he received a text from his brother.
“Home…? What's so special about tonight?” Jimin scoffed and called his brother as he uncapped the food for the fish. After a long wait for him to answer, Jihyun picked up and greeted his brother in a tease as always.
“I was expecting an unknown number to reach out to me since you left your charger at home. So, you had no other choice but to call me through your Suga Daddy's phone.”
“You mean ‘Sugar’ not ‘Suga’.. What the fuck is a Suga?” Jimin corrected his brother and heard a scoff on the other line.
“I know what I said. Anyway, father wants you home by eight. There's a man he needs to introduce you to! He works for another rich company that is on the rise and we need to have him collaborate with us. This is very important. Now that Phoenix is working with Golden Closet, we have more advantages and more people willing to work with us. This is a dream come true for father and I want you to meet this man here at the house. The two of you will get to talk and you can tell him the advantages in working with us.” Jihyun added as Jimin fed the fishes and closed the tank.
“Why can't you do it?”
“That's your position, Big Brother. You need to take that man on his offer and give him a wonderful night. It's almost like a date, I hope your man doesn't mind. This is only for business purposes.” After Jihyun said those words, Jimin felt disgusted. Was he going to be used just to get deals? He had to go out on a date with an older man who ran another company and the thought of it made him feel uncomfortable. “Jimin?”
“Date? Really? You guys are sending me to have a romantic date with an old man just to get him to work with Phoenix? That's stupid! I'm not a puppet, what happened to taking this seriously? I'm not dating an old man just to make a point. Tell father, I just want to hold a meeting with the man. No dates or else he'll think I'm interested with him and might want to have a night with me to extend the deal! This could go either way, but I'm not falling for it. No date. I already have a boyfriend… I don't want to end up having to date an older man for Phoenix.” Jimin told his brother off as Jihyun began to think to himself. “If that old man wants to date me in order to collaborate with Phoenix, then he is sadly mistaken. I'm not doing it.”
Jimin had so much respect for himself when it came to things like this. Before, he never noticed his value in life and did whatever, but now that he was with Jeon Jungkook, he knew he was valuable. The way Jungkook made him feel was beyond compare to the point where he never wanted to settle for less again.
“Fine, we'll think of something through. Besides, I don't think he's an old man. I believe he's around your age! And a very… Interesting guy.” Jihyun continued, but Jimin denied. He only had eyes for Jeon Jungkook. Not another young man that ran a company. Jimin was over it and didn't want to listen any further. As Jimin hung up out of frustration, the order was just picked up and now it was on its way to be delivered. Jimin was upset that his own father would set him up on a blind date for the purposes of business. Only now, the young man began to question his position in the ‘Phoenix’ and whether or not, it was still valuable to him. Was this the position Jihyun always wanted before? If it was… Would he be given better business choices?
The trouble bothered Jimin and he felt as if he refused to give into any of the thought. He sat down on the living room couches and stared at the aquarium of fishes. Jimin was upset he wasn't taken seriously by his father and brother. No matter what he did, he was still seen as the troublemaker that went off to the club any other Friday. Jimin tried to cheer himself up and eventually, the delivery was here after a long wait. Jimin stood up to reach the front door and accept the two brown and big bags filled with the food he ordered and had delivered. Jimin walked to the kitchen table after and set the dishes down. He filled the table with the takeout containers of lettuce wraps, hot fried chicken, small servings of spicy Kimchi, along with the bottles of cold soda that came within the bags.
Jimin set the table up and placed Jungkook's dishes across with his. Finally, he set the small bowls of ramen along their meal and made his way upstairs to call Jungkook down. Jimin set aside the fact his father was planning to set him up with another man so blindly, just so he could have a peaceful meal with Jungkook. Jimin reached the office and smiled once he opened the door to see Jungkook typing a letter to send to his collaborators.
“Jungkook, the food is here. Are you coming?”
“Oh, I'll be right there give me a second…” Jungkook whispered as he sent another email to his workers before standing up. “It takes forever to type a letter with one hand… this is really slowing down my work.”
“I'm sorry about that…” Jimin continued to apologize for hurting Jungkook like this but the younger only grinned and stood up.
“I guess this could be a blessing or a curse…. The curse is, I won't be able to work properly or even ride my motorcycle in the rain. But, the blessing is… I can still lay in bed while you'll ride m-”
“Jungkook! Oh you're so perverted~ there's never a day where sex doesn't go on in your mind. You were a virgin, you don't know anything else but fucking me!” Jimin giggled as Jungkook laughed and made his way to Jimin and lightly shoved him. “This is the longest we've went without having sex and I want to keep it that way.”
“Let's go eat before I decide to have dessert before lunch.” Jungkook continued to go after Jimin and make his boyfriend giggle. Jimin wasn't thinking of the situation he had to come home to now. Either way, Jungkook did a good job distracting him from it. When they sat down and began to eat, Jimin's brother continued to send him messages to update him on the situation.
Jimin read over the messages and let out a sigh before turning off the phone so suddenly. “Jungkook…” Jimin whispered and set his phone aside as it kept vibrating with messages his brother kept sending to get him to negotiate with the man. “Is… Stealing a good feeling when you give it to the poor?” Jimin asked as Jungkook opened his bottle of cold soda.
“Yes… When you see their smiles and happy giggles when they know they're going to eat something for the night. At times, donating from my company to them individually… Brings others to steal from them. So I steal back what's theirs sometimes. Then I steal from others who has treated them badly.” Jungkook assured and made Jimin smile gleefully. “But let me tell you something, Jimin… Once you get in there's no going back. Stealing for the good is nice, but don't abuse the power… Heaven knows how many times it happened to some of our members. You know what they say… Too much of a good thing will, and would always be bad. Don't let it get in your head.”
