Lotus never knocked. It always slipped her mind, but no one tended to get angry at her, it was difficult too when she flashed them her standard smile and fluttered her eyelashes.
She knew exactly what to do to get what she wanted.
She pressed her hands flat against the wood and pushed them open. The familiar room was comforting to her. The bright neon words and glamorous look of the room was something that made Lotus smile.
Lotus looked up to see Elizabeth and Donovan having at it. She sighed, shutting the door as she grabbed the clothes and walked up the stairs.
Donovan and Lotus met eyes. She smiled bright at him before throwing their clothes at them.
"Lotus." He groaned, annoyed that she had interrupted them.
She shrugged, an innocent look upon her face. "Hi, Donovan, sorry, but get dressed." She grinned. "You can get your rocks of later. I am more important!"
Elizabeth chuckled at her younger friend, gently taking the expensive dress into her hands and pulled it on, whilst Donovan begrudgingly pulled on his pants and trousers.
Lotus was truly something else.
Elizabeth got off her bed to greet Lotus.
Lotus threw her arms around the vampire, pressing their bodies close. Elizabeth held the girl in her arms.
"Liz tells me you're selling the place." Lotus said, pulling away from Elizabeth and taking a seat on the edge of the bed after placing the duvet over top of it.
"I am—"
"To Will Drake! Sorry, I wasn't meant to speak over you, I just got really excited."
Donovan watched the two women for a few seconds before deciding it was best to escape whilst he can.
Lotus and Elizabeth watched him leave, amused looks on their faces.
"I've never seen you smile so brightly." Elizabeth pointed out, brushing a finger over Lotus bottom lip.
It was true. Ever since the girl got lost in the light of fame, her smiled were never so bright, never so happy, never so influential.
"It's Will Drake!" She pointed out, unable to contain herself.
Lotus was amazed by Will Drake and his work. He almost influenced her decisions to moving to New York — however, Elizabeth talked sense in to the nineteen year old, at least that's how old she was at the time.
Lotus moved on the bed, laying over the duvet cover. She moved over, as Elizabeth laid down next to her, listening as the golden haired girl spoke pure excitement about the fashion designer.
"You're not going to kill him, are you?"
"I am."
Lotus' face screwed up as a huff left her lips. "Ugh, can you at least kill him here. Then it's so much easier for me. I can see you and James and Sally and Lizzy and Donovan and Will Drake!"
Amusement was often found of Elizabeth face when Lotus was around. "I'll see."
Lotus nodded, moving to get in a more comfortable position. After travelling back from Atlanta after a shoot, she couldn't help but be tired.
So whilst the women spoke, Lotus answers and Elizabeth words started to slur together, until she fell asleep.
Elizabeth shook her head, elegantly climbing out of the bed to get a thin blanket. She placed it over the human before leaving her to sleep as she made decisions.
One of which was to introduce Will Drake and Lotus Chambers, and hope that she didn't make a fool of herself.
Elizabeth cared a lot about Lotus, the two had been close since the girl was fifteen when she first stumbled into the place a mess of secret tears and fear as she came in with her agent.
The fourteen year old girl sat, her arms wrapped around herself as the secret droplets of tears fell from her eyes. He had told her to wait at the chairs as he got them a room — her mother had trusted this man to take her child away for a week for an audition.
Lotus resented her mother for years to come from the trauma that followed one singular night and many more to come.
Elizabeth watched the child from where she stood before descending down the stairs and taking a seat next to her. She handed Lotus a tissue.
Lotus took it, gently tapping under her eyes. She allowed herself to look at the pretty woman and admire her. She was stunning, no lie of a word there. She hoped she would also turn out as beautiful and one day wear such outstanding dresses that take away people's breath and intimidate people into respecting her.
"Do you know him?"
Lotus nodded. She did know him, for all off a year when her mother realised she could make money from turning her daughter into a child actresses with a side of modelling.
"Is be your dad?"
"No."
"A family member?"
"He's my agent." Lotus Chambers answered, timidly glancing over her shoulders to look at the man. He was much taller then her, whilst she stood at roughly 5'5 almost 5'6, he was was 6'7 and rather large and scary.
"But you don't like him?"
Lotus shrugged.
She didn't like him. He scared her, not only from his height but his words and suggestive touches and looks. Lotus had never truly been uncomfortable with another person (or even man) but since meeting him, being alone with him made her fear for everything.
When he wasn't busy finding her auditions, he was allowing his eyes to rake over her body like a predator or pick out her flaws.
Telling her she needed to loose weight . . . eat less, exercise more . . . shave more frequently, cover up spots amongst other things.
"I can make him go away." Elizabeth promised.
Lotus turned back to Elizabeth, shaking her head as a smile slipped onto her face. "No, don't be silly."
Elizabeth sighed. "Ask for The Countess if you need some help or safety."
Maybe Lotus should have taken up the offer.
