Alan's POV
"Babeeeeeee." I whined and pulled Shay back down on the couch. "You don't have to go do you?" I gave him my best puppy dog eyes and he sighed.
"Alan."
"Please! It's your day off again and I don't see why you can't just stay home! We're doing great and I miss you Shayley." He walked over to me and cupped my face in his hands.
"I miss you too Baby." He pressed a soft kiss to my lips. He started to pull away but I wasn't having any of it.
I pulled him closer to me by the back of his head. I slipped my tongue in his mouth and pressed my body closer to his. Soon enough Shay started joining in the action. He laid me back down on the couch and started stripping both of us of our clothes. He kissed down my pale skin and I moaned as his hand caressed every part of me. I was pulling Shay up for a kiss when there was a big crash from upstairs.
Shay was quick to throw a blanket over me and tell me to stay right where I was. He pulled his jeans on quickly and then started slowly walking up the stairs. I tightened the blanket around myself and listened for anything to happen. I was startled straight out of my skin when a phone rang. I quickly fumbled for the noise making device on the floor. If someone was upstairs then any noise wasn't good.
I finally found Shay's phone on the floor and I was quick to end the call. I sighed in relief and listened for any noise from above me. Once I heard nothing I glanced back down at the phone. It started to ring again but I was quick to put it on vibrate. I glanced down to see who was calling and raised a brow at the name. Jewel? I didn't know a Jewel and Shay had never talked about one. Once they cut the line and realized no one was going to answer a series of texts came in.
Jewel: hey?
Jewel: are you coming?
Jewel: Shayley?
Jewel: don't ignore me!
Jewel: helllooooo
The phone kept on buzzing and buzzing with text messages and I was on the verge of throwing it. Whoever this chick was was certainly annoying. I slid the screen over and tried to unlock the phone but Shay's old password wouldn't work. I groaned in frustration. Just as another message came in Shay came down the stairs. I shot a glare his way but he didn't notice because he was looking at something in his hands.
"What was it?" I gritted out.
"Someone broke our upstairs window." He held the object up, what looked to be a rock, and showed it to me. I stared at it confused.
"Who would do that?" I asked him.
"I honestly have no clue. Kids maybe?" He said and tossed the rock back and forth in his hands.
"Shay we're in the middle of nowhere."
"Kids are kids though babe. I don't want you staying here alone though." He sat the rock on the coffee table and sat back down beside me on the couch.
"I could get Austin to hang out with me. He usually does." I shrugged.
"I have to meet this guy." Shay said with a tiny hint of jealousy in his eyes, but that quickly faded away and he pulled me close to him. "Now where were we?" He said and tried to kiss along my neck.
I pushed him away.
"First of all someone just broke our window, scaring the shit out of me so I'm not in the mood anymore, and second of all who is Jewel?" I raised and eyebrow at him and crossed my arms.
"Jewel?"
"Yes Jewel. You're phone rang while you were upstairs and a lot of annoying texts came in." I grumbled.
"Alan Baby Jewel is someone I work with. She's basically the boss of my section." He said and laced both of my hands with his.
"She kept on asking were you going to come and if you were ignoring her."
"She's the one who called me in to work and as far as her being annoying that's just her personality."
"Shay I just...you're not cheating on me again are you?"
"Alan! What the fuck!? I. Am. Not. Cheating on you! For fucks sake! She's a lesbian for crying out loud!" He said and threw his hands in the air.
"Oh." I said and hung my head in guilt.
"Why would you even think that? I thought we were past all that crap!" He said defensively "I'm sorry! How many times do I have to say it!" He yelled. "I'm sorry I fucked that dumb chick behind your back! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He gripped at his own hair.
"Shayley Baby calm down." I said and got up from my spot on the couch. I walked over to him cautiously and tried to untangle his fingers from his hair.
He jerked away from me quickly and before I could even blink he punched the wall behind him with more force than i ever knew he had. "I'm sorry!" He screamed at the top of his lungs and punched the wall again. I stayed still. Shay had never been violent before and I had no clue how to handle this situation. He kept screaming and punching the wall until his hands were a bloody mess. He then sank down to the floor and put his head in his hands.
I waited until I was sure he wasn't going to have another outburst and rushed to his side. I was quick to pull him into my arms and kiss the top of his head.
"I'm so fucking sorry Alan." He said and clung to me. "I hate knowing I hurt you and I hate this feeling I get inside every time. You're my whole world but I can't stop myself from destroying it all."
"Shhh. It's my fault okay? You're forgiven. I was just paranoid." He looked at me with tears in his eyes and cupped my face in his hands.
"Never say this is your fault. Okay Baby? None of this will ever be your fault. I'm the one to blame."
"Don't say that Shay."
"Don't argue with me. You know I'm right. This is all my fault and I just keep on hurting you."
"Baby you aren't doing anything to hurt me." I tried to reason with him.
"I am Alan. Believe me. I can barely look at you without feeling guilty."
"It's in the past okay. We agreed we wouldn't live in the past, so we won't. Now come on let's clean this mess up." I said and started to pull him up from the floor.
"Alan lis-"
"No. This is the end of this conversation. Now just help me clean up." I said and placed a small kiss on his cheek before going to find where we put the broom.
