Haunted By My Banette (Pokémon Fanfiction)
"Mom! Where are my shoes?"
"Just below the stairs, honey!"
It was a typical morning in the Kelsey residence. The family was busy and cheerful, well, except for the dad, and today is a special day for Andrea. Today is her 10th birthday, the day she has been waiting for, the day she can leave her house and start a journey. She was really excited! Maybe. . . A bit too excited.
"Have you decided on what to choose?" Her father, Rafael or Rafe, questioned with a smirk as he ruffled her hair.
"Yep! I already decided on choosing Treecko!" She exclaimed, grabbing her bag and slipping herself into it.
"Nice choice!" Her mother, Sora, commented and brushed her daughter's silky brown hair, examining her with tearful eyes. She has grown. She had her mother's hair, the same blue highlight, the same hair color, and the cheerful and strong personality. She got her mother's bravery, determination, kindness, tomboy attitude and will to fight and never give up, as well as her father's cockiness, brown hazel eyes, sarcasm and the will to be the best.
Sora smiled, before pulling her daughter in a big bear hug. "Your godfather Brendan will make sure you're safe on your journey. I know you can do it, you got my kickass skills!" She laughed at her own comment, and Andrea joined her.
"Yea. I'd like to thank my dad for being the best training dummy!" She flashed a grin and my signature Thumbs Up sign, something she inherited from her awesome mother, as her Dad sighed.
"You're welcome." He answered sarcastically, and before he could flick his hair, she did it before him. He smirked and rubbed his knuckles on her hair.
"Good luck then, pipsqueak. Daughter of the Tiny Titan."
SMACK!!!
"Don't you dare call me/us tiny/short!" They shouted at the same time after hitting him. He groaned in pain and nodded.
Normal family, am I right?
~Meanwhile~
"Ba. . . nette. . ." It was very dark, dusty, lonely. A tear slipped down the ragged dolls eyes as memories filled the old toy's new mind. She angrily moved, which shocked her, and almost fell back to try to process everything that happened.
She was now alive, fueled by veangeance and hatred so she could move. Her once old and squeaty joints are now moving, cloaked in her old and dirty clothes. She can't move her mouth, but there's a zipper that closes it.
She was still shocked, but she snapped out of her trance when she remembered something.
Her old owner. . . Has abandoned her. Time for revenge.

"Have a safe trip, Andrea!" Brendan waved at the ten year old, who was now skipping ahead with her new Treecko perched on her head. Her Treecko, nicknamed Matsu, was smiling at her new trainer, then lookeed ahead at the road ahead of her.
This is going to be a long, and exciting, journey. Andrea was excited to get to the first gym and beat it! But first, she has to train.
"Are you ready, Matsu?" She questioned, looking up to meet her Treecko's eyes. It nodded and jumped off her head.
"Treecko-tree!" It replied, jumping up and doing a flip, then landing on all four. Andrea was so excited, but it didn't last when something wet fell on her nose. She looked up, and was met with drops of rain.
"Eep!" She exclaimed and picked up her Treecko. "It's raining!" She dashed ahead, holding her Treecko.
She kept running and running, getting soaked to the bone, and soon found a cave. She didn't hesitate to run inside to take cover, relieved to escape the merciless downpour going on outside. She sighed and leaned on the cave wall, catching her breath, and buried her face in her hands.
"I should've known it's gonna rain. . ." She told herself, remembering her mother's tale of how she started her own journey. She was also caught up in a rain and took cover in a cave, where she met a Latios and Latias, now currently their house pets. Maybe Andrea can find a Pokemon she could catch in additional to her team.
With this thought, she smiled and decided she'll explore the cave next day, for it's too dark to even see. She sat on the floor, and her Treecko sat beside her.
Her eyelids fluttered heavily, and she was being sucked back to the Realm of Dreams. Before she knew it, she was asleep. . .

"Wha-?!" Andrea was suddenly awoke when she felt something tugging her. She gasped and looked around frantically, trying to find out where she is.
It was dark, blue flames are floating around her, and her Treecko is nowhere to be found. She was tied, and her heart is pounding as cold sweat dripped down her forehead.
She tried crying out her Pokemon's name, trying to call her, "Matsu!" She screamed desperately, but no response. She was getting afraid, and the blue flames around slowly circled her. She was panicking, tears were streaming down her face and she sobbed, trying to call her parents.
"Mom! Dad! . . . . I'm scared. . . . HELP! PLEASE!" She screamed, getting no response, yet she continued to scream.
A sharp pain coming from her chest made her cry out in agony, then another one at her right leg. She was sobbing, looking around. She froze when she saw a pair of glowing eyes amidst the dark, illuminated by the floating flames around her. Its wide mouth, which looks like a zipper, seems sinister, and Andrea could sense the powerful hatred of its aura radiating from the creature.
She felt like her heart could emerge out of her chest. She was so afraid, she wanted to call her mom and dad, she needs them. She wants to go home.
"Ba. . . nette. . . ." The creature moaned, as it emerged from the darkness, revealing its horrifying appearance. It looks like it is a dark gray, doll-like Pokemon that is possessed by pure hatred. It has three short spikes on its head and a long zigzagging ribbon trailing off the back of its head. A zipper acts as its mouth, and it has purplish-pink eyes with slit pupils. Its long, flat arms have three-fingered hands, while its legs are short and stubby. It has a yellow, brush-like tail. But what Andrea noticed is the hatred and the lust for veangeance in its eyes.
She was shaking in fear, she tried to wriggle to remove the ropes, but they binded her too tight, she can't even move a muscle. She tried reasoning with the Pokemon, which is a Banette. "P-p-please. . . Let m-m-me g-go. . ." She pleaded, hiccuping. She hoped it would let her go, she hoped it would let her go home now.
But to her dismay, it shook its head. It pulled out a sharp-looking needle, and moaned in its old mechanical voice from her broken voicebox, "Mommy. . . Left Ningyou. . . Ningyou. . . Is angry. . . Mommy hurt Ningyou. . . Ningyou kills Mommy for leaving me. . ." A tear slipped down its dirty face, and Andrea was shocked.
Right in front of her, was her favorite doll given to her by her mom. It was Ningyou, her playmate ever since she was three, the doll who she cries onto when she's feeling lonely, the doll she loved the most. . . Her best friend.
She can't believe Ningyou came to life, nor did she know that Ningyou is angry. Tears filled the brunette's eyes as she shook her head, stopping the doll before it could stab its chest angrily.
"No. . . " She murmurred, "Mommy didn't leave Ningyou." She stated, sobbing. The Banette screamed at her, stabbing her chest. Andrea cried once again in pain as she felt the pain of the Banette get transferred to her, but that didn't stop her. "Mommy. . . Still loves you."
"Banette!" The Pokemon cried angrily, shaking its head. "You are lying!"
"I'm not. . . " Andrea whispered, and just as she said that, the ropes disappeared. The Banette was shaking its head, the blue flames are getting weaker, as its tears spilled out. The old doll was both angry and regretful, it was confused, but Andrea didn;t stop. "I'm sorry if you think of this way. . . We were in such a hurry to move out of our old house, I didn't know you were still not packed in the moving van. . . Mommy was really sad. . " Andrea crept toward the doll, pulling it into a hug as her tears streamed down. The Banette was crying, it hugged its former owner. "Mommy is sorry. . . Will you return to me? I promise, I won;t leave you. . ."
The Banette's aura was changing. The darkness was slowly disappearing, and the flames were extinguished, revealing the true light. Sunlight touched their skins, and they found themselves back in the mouth of the cave.
"Mommy. . ." The broken voice box sounded like it's close to bursting, and the Banette couldn't speak through her voicebox now. "Banette. . . Banette. . ."
"I know. . ." Andrea smiled, pulling her doll into the tightest bear hug. "I love you, Ningyou. . . You were my best friend."
