"Here."

Maddie gave me an icepack for my cheek. Do was sitting next to me looking concern. I didn't know when I walked into her room that Do was here, but I'm glad.

"Thanks." I took it and placed it against my cheek.

I don't know where to stared or how to started, but I need to talk to them.

"I'm sorry." I whisper looking at them.

Maddie gave me a soft small placing her hand on mine. "It's okay, just tell us if you are ready."

I nodded my head. I told them everything. From leaving the hospital when the Mutati started following, until now when Tom slapped me. At the end of my story I was in complete tears. Do had pull me towards into a hug.

"It's okay, everything is going to be okay." Maddie said when she joint the hug.

Everyone keep saying that, but what if it's not!

They can't see the future. What if it's complete and completely useless that they tell that it's going to be okay?

"Everyone keep saying that, but I don't believe it." I whisper back.

"Maybe you should." I pull away when Do said that.

"Why? My life was never okay before, so why would it be in the future?"

She wipe some tears away from my cheek with her thumb. "Because you're a wonderful and sweet person and people like you deserve a okay future." She said with a little laugh at the end.

I laugh too before looking down at my hands.

"Why don't you spend the night here? You can forget everything for the night and just have fun." Maddie suggest standing up from her bed.

"Yeah I like that, but nobody knows I'm here."

She smile taking her phone from her pocket. "Don't worry I will call Drew. If he's still at your house he can tell Tom that you're here and that you're going to spend the night."

She when out the room while holding her phone to her ear.

"You're sure you're okay now?" Do asked still looking concern.

I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know. Would you if you find out you another brother who's dead and the brother who is still alive lies to you and slapped?"

Do shook her head giving me a sorry look. "Tom didn't mean it, you know that right?"

I look away wiping my nose. "I know, but it still hurts. He promise he would never let anything hurt me and now he did this."

I played with my hands until Do said something.

"I know, but he's stressed. Some freaking monster and a group of dumbasses who are very dangerous are after his little sister. I think that's a lot to handle for him." I laugh a little before looking back up at her.

"I know, but their not only after me. Their after him too."

She press her lips together frowning her brows. "Are you sure? It's seem more likely that they are after you. They send the Mutati after you and Ian came to you."

Yeah, but that's not just for me right? They want Tom too because of our sight. They want us in the Blackhunters.

"And on that note. Why haven't the Dawnseekers come to you guys? If your parents were important for them why not protecting their children?" She said looking at me.

She right.

Scott told us that people like me are important for them, but Tom and I have been running for year now and nobody came to help us.

"I don't know. All I know is that Scott's parents are part of it so maybe he is too.  Maybe he's the one who have been looking after us for years. Tom always said that he was the one who help us moving when we had to run, so maybe they send Scott to look after us and when we couldn't handle it anymore more people who come and help?" I suggest.

Do nodded her head.

"Yeah maybe."

The door open and Maddie came walking in. "Okay so I called Drew and told him that you are here." She walked to THE bed and sit down.

"And what did Tom say when you said I would spend the night here?" I asked afraid that he would make me go home.

"First Drew told me that he wanted you home, but I think Scott talked to him because then he said you could stay."

Thank you Scott.

I really need to thank him for everything.

"Okay, so now let's have fun instead of drama." Do said taking a pillow before hitting Maddie in the face with it.

I laugh before taking a pillow hitting Do with it. We laugh and had fun. For the first time in a really long time I forgot about my trouble life and just had fun.
