~Tom~

I didn't let Ina out of my sight since what happen down there. We were walking back to the room were Scott told me to come back to. I hope he can break that stupid spell or whatever it is that keeps us here.

I don't want to spend a minute longer here.

Those things are still out here and apparently the Mutati too. I can't believe he followed us here. I'm just happy that Ina is now save, well saver with me than she is on her own. We came to the room and I closed the door behind us. I made sure that I locked it before turning around.

I saw Ina walking to the window looking outside. "Why can't we just climb out the window?" She put her hand on the window looking at the rain.

"Apparently someone put a spell or curse on the asylum that will keep us here." I said walking towards her.

"So we're stuck?"

I look outside and saw the storm moving further away from the town. It was still raining, but the thunder and lightning had totally stopped.

"Yeah until he comes back." I hear her sigh.

My eyes travel to Ina and saw how broken she was from tonight. She looked so weak now. The blood on her forehead and arms were still fresh. Her tear stain cheeks were still wet. I saw her blink her eyes and a tear slide down her cheek.

"Come here." I whisper before pulling her in a hug.

The moment she wrapped her arms around me she broke down.

"Tom I can't do this anymore."

I close my eyes and pulled her closer.

"Yes you can. I'm here and I'm always gonna be here." I whisper into her hair.

I hear her sobbing more while grabbing the back of my jacket. "No this is never going to end. It's a darkness that is never going away." I shook my head pulling away.

My hands when to her cheek wiping away the tears. "No you can do this. We are not the first one in our family that have done this. Every family member before us had lived a life with a family and a happy life, so we can do the same."

She let out a sob looking at me. "But so many people have died because of it in our family what make you think we're any different?"

I lick my lips shaking my head.

"I don't, but we have to try, we always have to try." I don't know if I convince her or not, but I hoped I helped her.

A banging on the door made us look at the door.

"T-Tom." I put my hand on Ina's mouth trying to hold her still.

If something is at the door we need to be quiet. I could hear Ina whimper when there were three louder bangs on the door. My eyes scan the room trying to find a way to escape, but we were trapped. The banging got louder and louder. I was pretty sure the door would break any second now. I could hear the wood in the door splintering when they banged on it.

As it started it suddenly stopped.

Ina was now fully sobbing with her head buried in my chest. I swallow hard looking at the door. For several minutes noting happen.

It's gone.

I don't hear anything or see anything moving underneath the door. I let out a sigh in relieve, but was shortly cut of when the door broke down. It fell to the ground with a loud tug, making dust fly everywhere.

My eyes left the door and looked what had knocked it over only to be greeted by white mint green death eyes.

The Mutati.

I moved backwards taking Ina with me, which wasn't that hard because she was still holding me. Slowly the Mutati came into the room bringing the cold with him. My back hit the window and I know we were trapped.

Dark mist came into room making the floor disappear into a black cloud. Ina let go and looked at him. I could feel how scared she was. I grabbed her hand and pulled her close. The Mutati stopped with walking and just looked at us. I didn't know what he was doing, but he just looked at us.

Ina buried her face into my arm trying to block everything out. I didn't look away, I just looked straight at him.

I think he looked at Ina, but quickly moved his eyes to me when I pulled her closer.

Suddenly a flash of hazel eyes came before turning back into those white mint green death.

No... it can't be.

I thought he was dead. I saw him die. They killed him and everything happen after his dead.

A knock on the window snapped me out of my thought and I quickly looked at it. Scott was standing there mention me to open the window.

Quickly I let go of Ina and moved to the window opening it.

"Quick the spell is broken!" He said when he saw what was happening.

I grabbed Ina's arm and pulled her to the window. Scott and I helped her climb out of it.

I look behind me and saw the Mutati standing right in front of me. My breath got stuck in my throat when I tried to breath. His sharp and long fingers when to my neck squeezing it. He lifted me up from the ground smacking me against the window. I could hear it crack behind me.

"No stop! Don't hurt him!" I hear Ina scream.

Scott most off held her back, because she didn't ran to the window. Good I didn't want her to get hurt, after all I deserve this.

"No let him go!" I hear her cry now.

The Mutati looked behind me to her.

"Please let him go." I hear her sob.

The Mutati look back at me before letting one hand go. He raised his hand in the air before bring it back down scratching my stomach.

"No!" He let me go before disappearing back into the hallway.

I wanted to get back up, but I couldn't.

"Ina!" I hear Scott yell.

I didn't know what was happening to her. I hear someone climbing through the window before lifting me up to my feet. I open my eyes and saw Scott.

"Hang in there Tom."

He helped me through the window which was hard considering I was limp. When my feet touch the outside ground I look up.

I saw Ina lying in the ground, to my surprise with Drew next to her.

"W-what hap-happen?" It was the lasting I could get out before passing out.
